Ivy
What lie in the world could I possibly tell my parents to make them let Trevor stay?
Why can't I think of anything?
I should have just thought of a back up plan Incase things went sideways, only, this was not sideways- it was bound to 'fucking' happen and I should have thought of a way to introduce him to my parents.
"We're waiting." My dad's voice boomed its way into my head, making Trevor come back into reality as he focused on the scene Infront of him.
"Um... Trevor, meet my mom and dad." I introduced awkwardly.
"Sup." Trevor greeted making me turn my head to his direction, giving him a look that screamed seriously?
He was not going to make this easier for me and I could feel it all coming. The shouts, the reprimanding, the surprise... I could feel all of it. I gulped, turning back to my parent's questioning gazes.
Slapping a smile on my face, I continued the introduction.
"Mom, Dad, meet- Trevor- my, um... He's my," My dad's eyes told me not to go there, it told me things that I never knew the eyes could tell... my Mom, well, she looked sort of curious. My heart was pounding, yes pounding like a damn hammer kept hitting it like a whip to a horse's butt! oh screw this. "Boyfriend..."
A moment of silence past between the four of us in the room, my mom's face was that of shock and my dad, let's just say he looked kind of pissed, I'll probably delete the kind of- he looked pissed.
"Your what?" My mom asked.
I took in a deep breath, trying to calm my crazy heart from beating so fast in fear.
"Boyfriend... Uh, yeah- he just officially became my boyfriend... Well, we were- we were cyber dating."
"Cyber dating?" Trevor whispered from beside me.
"Cyber dating?" My dad's voice also resembled his... it was almost like he was testing the word.
Where did that lie come from? Out of all lies, all the freaking lies in the whole world... The only thing I could come up with was Cyber dating?!
"Yes... We were dating online... He used to live very far away."
Another moment of silence.
"Okay... Then what's he doing here?" My mom butted in.
"No, we shouldn't be addressing that now, honey, they were cyber dating... You know what that means."
My mom sighed, taking a short glance at my dad. "She's eighteen, Cullen."
"Still-"
"What's he doing here, Ivy?" My mom asked, her voice softer. "You can't bring boys to the house, number one rule." She said, cutting my Dad off.
I sighed trying to make the most saddest face I could come up with. "I know, but... You see... Just last night, Trevor informed me that something terrible had happened... He- he lost his parents in a fire, and not just a fire in anywhere... In his own house... There was a fire and his parents didn't make it out, they burnt down with the house, no trace of body or- or anything..." I lied, watching my parents face grow from angry to sorry.
"It was a horrible thing... Trevor was at his friends' doing the group reading thing for exams, he came home to find nothing but a burnt down house, coupled with his parents ash already mixed with the ash of the house... He lost everything, to top it all, he doesn't have any relatives nearby, they're all very far away from here. I offered to help, so... That's why he's here, hoping to start afresh. But if you want him to go... I'll look for some other way to-"
"He can stay... Oh poor baby," My mom rushed to Trevor who looked so stunned at the lie I made up, not only did he look stunned, he had this look of confusion on his face like what I said was actually real or something. My mom pulled him for a hug, his confused eyes still never left mine. "What have you gone through... At such a young age... Cullen can you believe it?" She sympathized.
"Wow, I can't... Poor kid... You can stay for as long as you want." My dad said.
Jackpot.
"I can't believe you didn't tell us about this Ivy... Why?" My Dad asked. Despite his strong hearted character, he had the biggest heart.
"I'm sorry dad, I just- I wanted to talk to you guys about it but you were both asleep." I said.
"It's going to be okay Trevor... We'll do something about your issue but for the main time... You're most welcome here." My mom smiled sweetly at him, walking back to my dad. "Ivy, take him to one of the guest rooms upstairs, make sure he gets clean clothes and something to eat, it must have been a long travel down here... We should ask some questions but we need you to rest for now okay?"
"Sure ma'am." Trevor said awkwardly.
"Oh, just call me Mel. It's short for Melody." My mom smiled.
"Sure, Mel."
"Come on." I said to Trevor, intertwining my hands with his super soft warm comfortable ones as we made our way up the stairs and to one of the guest rooms upstairs.
Shutting the door behind me, Trevor let go of my hands, staring at me like I'd grown two horns.
"What the hell?" He asked.
"What do you mean?"
"How did you- how could you lie about something like that?" He asked, his brows etched down in a frown that screamed confusion and irritation.
"What? It was just a story, okay? And it saved our asses, you should be thanking me."
"Thanking you? You ordered for me, so that part of it all, was your fucking Job... And for your info, that was not just a story!"
"How? Is that even possible? A house burning to the ground with its recipients in it? That's just crazy." I muttered.
He looked like he wanted to say something but he stopped himself, closed his eyes for what felt like five seconds, then pulled them back open. I swallowed, my mind registering the fact that I'd never get tired of looking into his beautiful eyes. "Whatever." He said suddenly, the frown left his brows, bringing in a look of indifference.
I steadied my breathing, so I wouldn't have to sound breathless when I spoke. "So, I'm guessing you sleep right?"
"If I want to." He grumbled, taking off his jacket, revealing his perfect arms. He was so beautifully fit, definitely drool worthy.
He placed his jacket gently on a chair. "I'll head out to get some clothes tomorrow morning... So... What's my job exactly."
Okay, the question of the day.
"Your job is to be my boyfriend." I said. "It's a very simple job, just be a boyfriend."
"I know that... Are we going to be acting it out or, doing things for real?" He asked.
"For real... You're my boyfriend for real, we're going to do all the things boyfriend and girlfriends do... It's going to be amazing."
He blinked, probably trying to register why I sounded so desperate. "Okay, so... I'm going to go to school with you, everyday... Like be a student or something?"
"Yeah... Exactly... You're going to be my full time boyfriend... But we're going to take things slow."
He cocked a brow. "What things?"
"The sexual things?" I said, stopping myself from murdering my lower lip with my teeth.
"Oh, that... Anything you want... I'm under your control anyway."
"I'll leave you to rest now. Shut down or something... Tomorrow, I'm going to run a few test on you... Good night, Trevor Treviar."
He didn't reply to that but, it really didn't bother me. When I walked out of his room, I couldn't fight the grin pulling at my lips.
This is going to be fun.
