Raina POV
By the end of the Ball, Lucas and I went to the stage. We were planning on singing a song tonight for everyone. Dumbledore has allowed us to sing tonight as a closing act for tonight. It was like one in the morning right now and the Ball was finally coming to an end. I got up to the microphone and got everyone's attention "Good evening everyone. I hope you all enjoyed tonight. Now, before we all go to sleep for tonight, Lucas and I would like to sing one final song for you guys. This song we wrote together and we hope you guys enjoy it," I said and I went to the guitar to start playing. Lucas was on the piano since I taught him how to play.

Everyone clapped and Lucas and I bowed. Out of nowhere, they started yelling for us to sing another one. I looked at Lucas, and he nodded. I took out my wand and made the music play for the next song we were going to sing. This next one as a Christmas song it fitted the occasion.

We bowed again and left the stage. Everyone started leaving the Great Hall. Lucas kissed my cheek and left. Draco had left hours ago and so did the Golden Trio. I saw how Ron had made Hermione mad and she sent both Harry and Ron to bed. Draco had left after her to see if she was alright. I told Pansy to go back to the common room because Draco wasn't coming back to the ball. She left angrily but left none the less. I went to my dorm and changed to my pajamas.
Draco POV
I saw what happened to Hermione and went after her as she ran. She stopped at the astronomy tower where we always meet. "You alright, Hermione?" I asked her as I approached her. "I'm fine, Draco," she said but I knew she was lying. I hugged her from behind and as she cried. I turned her around and she cried on my chest. After half an hour, she stopped crying and looked at me. "Thank you, Draco," she said and I gave her a small smile. We promised to meet here tomorrow night as always and we parted ways. I couldn't wait to give her the gift I got her. I already sent Raina her gift, it should be under the Christmas tree in her common room. I am planning on giving Hermione her gift personally. I smiled to myself for a while until I reached the portrait of the Slytherin common room. I had a frown on my face when I entered the common room so everyone knew not to mess with me tonight. The thing is that only Pansy was in the common room. She was waiting for me "Where were you?" she asked me and I just shoved her off. "Leave me alone Parkinson. It's none of your business what I did," I said and went to my dorm. I changed into my shorts and T-shirt and went to sleep.
~The next day~
Raina POV
I was in the common room thinking about what the egg said. I got the message but I couldn't figure out the last part of it. Harry told us he already got it weeks ago so I left him to think about it on his own. Harry and Hermione came in after a while and they looked disturbed. "What's gotten into you two?" I asked as I put down the book I was reading. "Harry still hasn't figured out the egg," Hermione said concerned. "Why didn't you say so earlier? Just go and take a bath and put the egg underwater. You'll get the message, you'll just have to figure out how to pass the task," I said and continued to read. "Go to the prefect's bathroom on the fifth floor. There's more privacy there," I said and handed him a piece of paper with the password. I went to my room and continued to ponder the task.

"How the hell am I suppose to hold my breath for an hour underwater without people being...suspicious?" I said as I realized how stupid I was. I opened a portal to the dragon realm and looked for Aqua, the water dragon. Her part of the world was filled with lakes and waterfalls. I landed at the edge of the big lake where I knew she was "Aqua, I need your help." She came out from underwater and looked at me "What is it my queen?" she asked and I sighed. "I told you to call me Lucy, Aqua," I said and she sighed "Sorry, Lucy," she said and I shrugged it off. "As a water dragon, can I also transform into water creatures for as long as I like?" I asked her and she nodded. "You can, Lucy. But you must be careful what you chose to turn into. There are different water creatures in different types of water. You won't find a shark in a freshwater lake," she said and I nodded. "What about mermaids? Can they be in any type of water?" I asked and she nodded. "Mermaids are one of the few creatures that can be in all types of water," she said and I hugged her. "Thank you, Aqua," I said and left the dragon realm. I knew how to get past the second task. I just hope Harry figured it out as well.
Hermione POV
I was going up to the astronomy tower to meet with Draco. I had gotten him a gift this Christmas and I couldn't wait to give it to him. Once I got to the tower, I saw that he was already there "Waiting long?" I asked and he turned around. "Not that long," he said. I smiled at him and he smiled in return. "Close your eyes," he said and I did. I felt him place something on my finger and then I opened my eyes. I saw the most beautiful ring ever. It was a snake wrapped around twice and its head on top on my finger.
"It will stay on you as long as we are friends. And it has a charm on it too. If you say Nacti Draco and tap the ring with your wand an image of me and my location will show in front of you. And it will move around when I'm in trouble," he said and I smiled. "Your turn, close your eyes," I said and he did. I put a dragon's claw ring on his middle finger.
He opened his eyes and looked at it. "It will also stay on as long as we are friends and it has the same charms as well. Say Nacti 'Mione and an image of me and my location will appear. And the claws will move up and down tapping your finger when I'm in trouble." He hugged me, and I hugged back. After hours of talking, we decided to go to sleep. I had to help Harry with the riddle tomorrow before the second task the day after.
~Day of the Second Task~
Raina POV
Everyone was heading towards the Black Lake for the second task. I couldn't find Hermione, Ron, and Draco. Harry and I were wearing a swimsuit with our house colors and George and Fred were taking bets. I was on the stands waiting for the canon to go so I can jump in. I noticed that Harry had gillyweed. I knew Neville helped him. Dumbledore told us that they took something from us and it was at the bottom of the lake. I started to think about the missing people. Ron for Harry, Hermione for Victor. I suddenly got scared because I knew Draco was at the bottom with them. The cannon went out and I jumped in. I saw my legs turning into a mermaid tail and when the transformation ended, I swam up and jumped into the air. I heard gasps and I looked to my side and Harry doing the same. I fell back in the water and started swimming around. I heard Dumbledore said that Fleur has failed the task. I found our friends and I also saw a little girl there. Must be Fleur's sister. Harry came soon after and saw what I did. I looked at Harry and told him to wait for me. I grabbed Draco and pulled him up. When we reached the surface I looked at Draco "Swim over there, I'll see you later," I said and swam back down. Victor quickly came up with Hermione. Once at the bottom, I saw Harry struggling with the mermaids. I shot them and helped Harry bring up Fleur's sister and Ron. The mermaids came back and started pulling on my tail.
Harry saw this and pushed Ron up along with the little girl and came down to help me. He shot an electrocution spell and they all left. I swam up to him since he lost air. I swam both of us up to the stands. Hermione took him and put her towel on him. Draco came to me and also gave me a towel. As I dried myself, my tail turned back into legs. "Seeing as Miss Black came out first but went back in to help her friend, we have decided to give her first place. And seeing as Mr. Potter would have come right behind her but stayed to help not only Mr. Weasley but also the others, we've awarded him second place!" Dumbledore said and all Gryffindor cheered. Draco hugged me tightly and congratulated me. Victor got thrid and Fleur got last. When we got back to the dock, Harry was talking with Crouch.
Later that day, The Golden Trio and I were with Hagrid in the forbidden forest. Hagrid said that something wrong because the animals were antsy, so we decided to help him. Hermione and Ron were with Hagrid while I was with Harry. We kept walking and came across Crouch's hat. We walked a tree and Harry's scar started burning. we ignored it for now and continued to look through the mist. There, on the ground, at the foot of the tree, lied Barty Crouch. Dead. I sniffed the air and it reeked of Crouch Jr. That bastard dared to kill someone on the school grounds! I will kill him for this!
I cast a spell and sent the body to Dumbledore. Harry and I went to Hagrid and told him what happened. I looked at Harry and knew he was going to Dumbledore's office tonight to ask him about this. I decided to leave him to it so I could consider everything and come to a conclusion that will help everyone. The only thing I knew for sure right now was that I needed a way to dodge the killing curse without the caster noticing. That night, Harry came to the common room and told me about Snape's accusations at him for stealing ingredients for a polyjuice potion. I knew Crouch Jr. was stealing them so he could keep his supply going to Voldemort. I needed to find a way into his office without him being there so I could find the real Mad-eye. Jr. has to keep the real one close by for the polyjuice potion to work. I had my mouse in his office all the time now so I could see what he is doing and when is the right time to get in without him noticing.
