Happy Valentine's Day

Raina POV
"Take me?" Hagrid said confused. "Take me where? Not Azkaban prison," he said and I stood up. "No! I won't let you take him there," I said and I put an ice wall between Hagrid, me, and Cornelius Fudge. "Hagrid is innocent. I spend every hour of every minute of the day after classes with him. I don't get to my dorm until 11 at night until just recently when we've had to finish work earlier than usual. He wouldn't have had the time to..." I was cut off my by father walking into the hut. "Raina, stop being foolish and bring down that wall," he ordered but I stayed put. "What are you doing here? Get out of my house," said Hagrid to my dad. "Believe me, I take no pleasure being inside your h...You call this a house?" he asked looking around. "No. I simply called up the school and was told the headmaster was here," he said. I continued having my wall up. Not even for my dad would I let them take Hagrid to Azkaban. I tuned out the rest of the conversation since I didn't want to hear my father being so cruel. He hats muggle-borns and knows that with Dumbledore gone there will killings. He wants muggle-borns to die and I can't face that side of my father. I love him too much to face that side of his. But I know one day soon, I will have too.
"Raina, I won't repeat myself. Take. Down. That. Wall." he said angrily. I turned away from him as tears fell down my face. Hagrid put his hand on my shoulder "Raina, take it down," he said and I shook my head. "You're innocent. I know you are. I know the truth about that day 50 years ago. You were framed. It was..." before I could finish he brought me into a hug and I continued crying "It's alright Raina. You know that truth and you believe me. I'll be back soon," he said and I nodded. I wiped my tears away and took down the wall. I walked next to Dumbledore as we headed towards the castle. Hagrid said some words to Harry and Ron and then came out of the house. Once we reached the castle Dumbledore said to me "Will you get there alright?" I nodded "I'll be fine," I said and left to the common room. I took the secret passageways and made it to my dorm without any interference. I lied down on my bed and decided to ask Harry and Ron what they found out tomorrow since I'm very tired.
The next morning I met up with Harry and Ron and asked them what they found out. They told me everything. I cringed when I heard they managed to get away because of a runaway carriage. They told me that they found out that Hagrid was truly innocent 50 years ago. We decided to go check on Hermione in the hospital wing after classes, "Wish you were here, Hermione. We need you. Now more than ever," Harry said. I saw the sun going down and turned to the other two "I have to go guys. Someone has to do Hagrid's job while he's gone," I said and left. Once out I made a few clones so they could do the chores while I followed Harry and Ron with my invisibility cloak on. I saw them come out with the paper that I found on Hermione. "'Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the basilisk. Capable of living for hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who met this giant serpent's eyes. Spiders flee before it.' Ron this is it. The monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a basilisk. That's why Raina and I can hear it. It's a snake," Ron seemed confused "But if it kills by looking people in the eye, why is it n one's dead?" he asked and Harry started thinking. "Because no one did look it in the eye. Not directly, at least," he said as they started walking again.
"Colin saw it through his camera. Justin must have seen the basilisk through Nearly Headless Nick. Nick got full blast but he's a ghost, he can't die again. And Hermione had the mirror. I bet you anything, she was using it look around corners in case it came along," Harry explain and I was impressed. He's not that dense after all. "And Mrs. Norris? I'm pretty sure she didn't have a camera or a mirror, Harry," now this one I need to know. I haven't been able to figure this one out "The water," he said and the realization hit me. "There was water on the floor that night. She only saw the basilisks reflection," "But how's the basilisk been getting around. A dirty great snake. Someone would have seen it," Ron said and Harry looked at the corner of the paper. "Hermione's solved that too," he said showing it to Ron. "Pipes? It's using the plumbing," Ron said looking around him. Then an announcement came on and we ran to where the teachers were meeting. Once there, we saw writing on the wall. "As you can see, The Heir of Slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realized. Two students have been taken into the chamber itself," McGonagall said. "The students must be sent home. I'm afraid that this is the end of Hogwarts," she finished. I noticed Lockhart come in and ignored him. I noticed that Snape might try to hide his sadness but it was still there. Lockhart left and Pomfrey asked: "Who is it that the monster's taken, Minerva?" McGonagall looked down. "Raina Malfoy and Ginny Weasley," she said and I was confused. I mind linked to all my clones and noticed one was gone. I checked her memories and saw that she was with Ginny when they were taken. Snape looked heartbroken. It's moments like these when I know he does care for his students. I was finally able to see the writing on the wall clearly 'Their skeletons will lie in the Chamber forever' it said.
While Harry and Ron went to go get Lockhart I went straight to the girl's bathroom on the third floor. I went up to the sink that didn't work and said "Open," it opened up and I went through. When I got to the bottom, I said: "Close," and the Chamber closed. I went around looking for the entrance. I saw the dead skin of the basilisk and continued. I soon came upon a circular door. It was full of snake engravements. "Open," I said and it started moving. Once it was fully opened, I went in and closed the door behind me. I didn't want the beast to come out of the chamber while I was fighting it. I saw Ginny in the middle of the floor and my clone had melted away. I went up to Ginny and checked her pulse. She was only barely alive. "Tom! Where are you? Come out and face me!" I yelled around until I saw the same boy from that flashback a couple of months ago. "Ah, Raina Malfoy. You should have stayed above if you had managed to get away from me," he said and I scoffed.
"I've never run away before, so why start now?" I said and got into my fighting stance. "Bring out your snake have it fight me," I said but he ignored me. "No," he said and I got angry. "Fine then, I'll take him out on my own," I said and transformed into my chaos dragon form. It was a form similar to what Acnologia looks like. I roared and swung my tail around as I destroyed the place while keeping Ginny safe. I destroyed everything and eventually, Tom brought out his snake. I turned back to normal and started shooting it with ice. I let Nava take over me as she fought the snake and surrounded it with ice. Basilisk is afraid of large bodies of bodies and she's hoping it is the same thing for ice. As she fought the snake she made one mistake...
She looked into its eyes and fell to the ground.
~In Raina's head~
I was in front of Neva as I saw her slowly dying. I went to her and kneeled. "Neva! What happened?" I asked her as she held my hands "I made a mistake. I looked into its eyes," I cried as she started fading "Since we are different people, you get to live but I must go," I shook my head "No. You can't leave me, Neva," I said as her legs were no longer there. She used the rest of her strength and hit my chest with her ice powers "I will never leave you, Lucy. You now have my powers. No matter where, and when, or in what body, you will always have my powers. They are a part of you now. Forever and always," she said and finished fading. Neva was now gone and only I remained. My body was unconscious but I was alive.
~back in reality~
Third Person POV
Harry had shown up by now and saw both Raina and Ginny on the floor. He ran to them and saw that both were barely alive. Harry tried to wake them up but it didn't happen. "They won't wake up," "Tom. What do you mean? They're not..." "One is dead, and the other is barely alive," Tom said. "Are you a ghost?" Harry asked "A memory preserved in a diary for 50 years," Tom said as he grabbed Harry's wand.
~Time skip to the moment the basilisk is out of the water and Harry is on the head statue about to stab the snake's head~
Raina had woken up and saw Harry fighting the snake. She got up slowly and looked at Tom as he stared at her in surprise "How are you alive?" he asked as she just smirked. She used the lightning she learned from her lightning dragon and was instantly beside the snake. She touched it with all the power she had and burned it. Since snakes are naturally cold-blooded, burning it will cause an agonizing death. Harry took this chance to stab the serpent on the roof of its mouth but was also stabbed himself with on the serpent's fangs. Tom was shocked that two children managed to kill his snake. They got closer to Ginny and Raina checked Harry's wound.
Harry used his other hand to grab the diary and open it "What are you doing?" Tom asked as he saw Harry pulled up the fang and stab the book with it. Tom started to light up and he was in pain. Harry stabbed both sides of the open book and then did the same in the front of it. Tom then exploded. Ginny suddenly opened her eyes. She sat up and looked around.
She turned around as Harry spoke "Ginny." "Harry. Raina. It was me. But I swear, I didn't mean to," she said and Raina hugged her. "We know Ginny. It's alright," Ginny then saw the wound on Harry's arm. "Harry, you're hurt," she said and he covered it. "You two, get out of here. Follow the chamber and you'll find Ron," he said but before he could continue Fawkes came in. Harry complimented him on his attacks as Fawkes shed tears. He cried on top of the wound and healed it "Of course. Pheonix tears have healing powers," he said and Raina smiled. Raina cast a spell to heal all the wounds they all had. Fawkes then carried all of them out of the chamber picking up Ron and Lockhart on the way. Raina wanted to leave Lockhart but she knew she couldn't.
When they made it back, it was morning and they were taken straight to Dumbledore's office. "You all realize that in the past few hours, you have broken a dozen school rules. There is enough evidence to have you all expelled," they all nodded "Therefore, it is only fitting that you three receive Special Awards for Services to the School," they all smiled and thanked him. "Now, Mr. Weasley, if you would have an owl deliver these release papers to Azkaban. I believe we want our Gamekeeper back," Dumbledore said as he gave him a letter. "Use my owl, Ron. She's ready to go and won't get lost," Raina said teasingly at Ron. Raina whistled and Winter came through the window. Winter landed on the rails and Ron attached the letter to Winter's leg and told her where to go. What they didn't know was that Rains had previously tied a letter to Winter's wing for her to deliver to Sirius behind the eye of the ministry and without the dementors noticing. Raina had found out that dementors can't see animals properly as they do with humans so Winter was able to go undetected. She also attacked a pen and extra parchment for him to write back. She had ordered Winter to not return until Sirius had written back.
Raina POV
"Harry. Raina. First I would like to thank you, Harry. You must have shown me real loyalty down at the chamber. Nothing but that could have called Fawkes to you," Dumbledore said and then turned to me "Raina, please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I know you were very close to Neva and I'm sorry that she left," he said and I nodded. Then he explained to Harry why there were some similarities between Tom and Harry. I came back when I heard the door being opened. I turned and saw my father with Dobby behind him. Harry noticed to "Dobby. So this is your master. The family you serve is the Malfoys," Harry said and father got angry and looked at Dobby "I'll deal with you later," he said and walked up to Dumbledore. "So, it's true. You have returned." "When the governors learned that Arthur Weasley's daughter was taken into the chamber along with your daughter, they saw it fit to summon me back," "Ridiculous," father said and I frowned. "Curiously, Lucius, several of them were under the impression that you would curse their family is they did not agree to suspend me in the first place," Dumbledore said and I looked at my father in disbelief. He forced them into this. My heart broke when I heard this and I turned away from him. "How dare you?" father said "I beg your pardon," Dumbledore said confused "My sole concern has always been and will always be the welfare of this school, and of course, its students," he said and glared at Dumbledore. "The culprit has been identified I presume?" father asked and Dumbledore responded "It was Voldemort," he said and looked at my dad and saw that he had a speak of pride when he heard that. He is happy about all of this. Dumbledore showed the book to father and I noticed how he got nervous.
When father was leaving, I saw him kick Dobby to the floor. I had to urge to help him but I held myself back and growled under my breath. Harry asked to keep the book and Dumbledore nodded. I followed him out as we went to my father. "Mr. Malfoy," Harry called as he approached my dad. Father turned around and looked at Harry and me since I was behind him. "I have something of yours," he said and gave him the book. I was confused. "Mine? I don't know what you're talking about," he said "I think you do sir. I think you slipped the diary into Ginny Weasley's cauldron that day at Diagon Alley," he said and I remembered that day. I had walked away from them because I didn't want to see them. "You do, do you?" father asked and Harry nodded. He gave the book to Dobby and came closer to Harry "Why don't you prove?" he dared and scoffed. He turned around and started walking as Harry told Dobby to open the book. When he did, he saw a sock come out of it. "Master has given Dobby a sock," Dobby said happily "What? I didn't give..." he stopped as he looked at Harry. "Master has presented Dobby with clothes. Dobby is free," Dobby said smiling. Dad saw that Harry pulled up his pants and he was missing a sock. "You lost me, my servant!" he yelled and pulled out his wand. As he was about to cast a spell I pulled Harry behind me and was ready to attack. "You shall not hurt Harry Potter!" Dobby said and attacked father on his own. Father was thrown back.
I then saw the book on the floor and at last allowed myself to look at the book closely. I check the back of the book and saw that it read 'Tom Marvolo Riddle.' This was the same book in my dad's library. And then everything fitted together. I got mad and made an ice wall in front of father and stopped him in his tracks. I threw the book at him and it hit him in the head. He turned to me and I glared "Harry was right. You are the cause of all the attacks this year! You think I didn't see that look in the library! I spend all my hours there and you thought you could do this and I wouldn't find out! How could you?!" I yelled at him as I made a wall behind me with Harry and Dobby on the other side so only father and I were on the same side of the walls. "I don't know what you're talking about Raina. I didn't give that book to the Weasley girl," he said trying to convince me. "Don't lie to me!" I yelled and hit him with more snow. I took out my wand "Mutare Identitatem," I said and pointed it at myself. "My name is Raina Black. Last Heir to the Noble House of Black. Raina Malfoy will exist no more. Everything with that of Raina Malfoy's name will be changed to Raina Black, made effective by tomorrow night," I cast and my wand shot out blue light as the spell was sent to the records room.
"What did you do Raina?" father said and I glared at him "Your stunt this year, dad, has cost you your daughter. You were everything to me, father. I refused to see the cruelty you did. But after this, I can't. I can bet that you didn't even say anything to Draco when you learned that he slapped me and called me a traitor. And worse of all father is that you have so much but you are miserable and don't even see it. If you took the time to notice, then you would find that you only need very little to be truly happy. Nothing should matter to you more than your family. Not your job. Not your beliefs. And not the bidding of Voldemort," I looked down and said "I will write to mother, I will send presents on Christmas and your birthdays but I will not go back to that place. I told Draco that I wouldn't go back until he apologized but now I won't go back because we are not a family. And that is not a home," I said and brought down the ice walls. I left as father did too. I went to my dorm and started packing. Once done I heard my door open and I turned around. I saw Dumbledore there.
