~One Week Later~
Raina POV
I have been with the Weasley's for a week now and it has been the best week ever. Dad keeps sending me letters but I just burn this after I read them. Mom and Draco also send me letters and I respond to those but only when they don't ask me to come home or meet them or even ask to give dad a chance. Today happened to be Harry's birthday and we're planning on bringing him here since he hasn't answered any of our letters so we think his uncle and aunt are keeping him from answering us. So we plan to go and get him tonight with Mr. Weasley's flying car.
After hours of waiting for everyone to go to sleep, I left a note on my bed saying that I went to get Harry with Ron and the twins. I went on my ice wings because I didn't feel like sitting in the back with Fred. When we got to his house, I saw that his window had bars. I went up to it with Ron next to me. "Raina? Ron? Fred? George? What are you doing here?"Harry asked when he saw us. "Rescuing you, of course," Ron said "Pack up quickly and open both windows," he did as told and I shot ice to the locked making them too cold to touch and unlock. Once he was done packing, I turned to Ron "Turn around and open the trunk, I don't want to have any setbacks," I said and they turned. "Stand back," I told Harry as I touched the bars and froze them. The molecules in the bars became so weak that I easily pulled out the bars and let them fall on the rose bushes on the ground. Harry put in his trunk and gave me Hedwig. I passed her to Fred and then George turned the car around I went under the window as Harry went into the car. "Potter!" we heard a man scream. He didn't seem to care that the locks were cold as ice since he still touched the locks and opened them. The man managed to grab onto Harry's leg as he went in. I took this as a que to show myself. I flew up in front of him and said: "Hi," the man got so scared, he turned white and passed out. He fell through the window and let go of Harry's leg. I giggled as he fell and Harry got in the car. "Now, let's go home before Mrs. Weasley has our heads. By the way, Happy birthday day Harry" I said and I flew ahead of them.
It was morning by the time we got home. Harry looked around as I sat on the couch waiting for Molly to come down. Harry looked around and when they got in front of the stairs, Molly came down the stairs "Where have you been?" she said looking at her kids and then saw Harry, "Harry, how wonderful to see you, dear," she said and came closer. Then she turned to the others "Beds empty, no note except for Raina. Car, gone. You could have died, you could have been seen," then she turned to me and Harry "'Course I don't blame you two," then back to the younger Weasleys. Ron then looked at Molly "They were starving him, mom. There were bars on his window," he said and Molly pointed her finger at him "Well, you better hope I don't put bars on your window, Ronald Weasley. Come, guys, it's time for breakfast," she said and we went to the breakfast table. Mr. Weasley hasn't come home yet but he should be here soon. Percy also came down to eat. Ginny was getting changed. She came running down the stairs and asked Molly "Mommy, have you seen my jumper?" she asked and Molly responded "Yes dear, it was on the couch," Ginny then saw Harry and he greeted her. She ran back up the stairs as the twins and I smirked "What did I do?" he asked. "Ginny. She's been talking about you all summer. Kinda annoying, really," Ron said and we continued eating. Then Mr. Weasley came in yelling "Morning Weasleys!" "Morning dad," they responded "Morning Mr. Weasley," I said and he looked at me "Morning, Raina," Then he turned to Harry.
"Who are you?" Harry turned to him "Sorry sir. I'm Harry, Harry Potter," he answered. Mr. Weasley seemed happy "Good lord. Are you really? When Ron's told us so much about you, when did he get here?" he asked and Molly went on and told him what happened last night. He was about to encourage them until Molly hit him and he scolded them. "Now, Harry. You must know all about muggles. Tell me, what is the function of a rubber duck?" he was about to answer when Errol screeched from outside. It was a stupid owl because every time he comes to deliver letters he crashes into the windows. I sighed as it happened again. Percy went up to the window and got the letters "It's our Hogwarts letters. Raina's and Harry's are here too," he said as he passed us our letters.
"This won't come cheap, mom. The spells books alone are very expensive," George said as I looked at the list. "I'll fill in what you guys are missing if you need it. You know I don't mind," I said as they looked at me "We'll manage, Raina, dear." Molly said and I nodded. After breakfast, we were all ready to go to Diagon Alley. I had a feeling Harry was going to get lost since it is his first time but I'm sure he'll find his way. After about half an hour, we were all at Diagon Alley and the book store. I saw Hermione and noticed that her hair was neat and in a half-ponytail. 'Good thing it's not the mess she had last year' Neva said and I nodded. Then she went out and came back in with Harry. I grabbed a napkin from my robe and gave it to Harry so he could clean his face. I did the same for everyone else and me. Ginny clapped, Molly and Hermione sighed when Lockhart came into the room. I just rolled my eyes because his books were trash. I don't know what people see in this guy. As he was taking his picture he saw Harry and me. "Harry Potter and Raina Malfoy," the photographer turned around and grabbed us both. He put his arms around us and we smiled for the picture. I then turned to him and rolled my eyes, I looked at Harry and he was just shocked "Ladies and gentlemen, what an extraordinary moment this is. When young Harry and Raina stepped into Flourish and Blotts this morning to purchase my autobiographies, they had no idea that they would, in fact, be leaving with my entire collected works free of charge," he said as he placed the books in our hands and another picture was taken. Then both of us ran from him and went to Molly. She took our books and told all of us to wait for them outside. I followed Harry as went followed Ginny. Then I saw Draco coming down the stairs "I'll have a look around and see what I want to buy," I said to Ron as I left. I knew that if Draco was here then father was close as well, and I did not want to see him. I knew Draco was going to start a fight but I also knew that Harry can take care of himself.
I ended up not finding a book I wanted so I just went back to the Weasleys as father and Draco left. I saw Hermione upset and knew father said something about her being muggle-born. I smiled at her and said "Don't mind my father, Hermione. I know he can be easy to get mad at but it's only words," I said and hugged her. I saw Mr. Weasley's expression and knew father had said something to him as well. "Don't mind my father Mr. Weasley. I think what you do is wonderful. If learning about muggles makes you happy then you should continue doing it," I said and he smiled at me.
~Boarding time~
We were running late for the train. I went through the wall and everyone followed. I didn't even notice that Harry and Ron didn't make it through until I was sitting in my booth, by myself since Hermione was somewhere in the front. Then I saw a flying car and Harry about to fall out of it. "Idiots," I said as I made my way outside the train. I made two clones and we flew into the air. I grabbed onto Harry as one of my clones opened Ron's door. My last clone got in the car and through Ron out of the seat. My clone caught him while the other one made the car invisible and drove it back to the station. My clone and I went back to the train and we all went into the booth I was in. "Are you two idiots! Driving the car without the invisibility cloak on it. What were you thinking?" I scolded them and they looked down. "Well, we didn't make it through the wall and so we decided to take the car to get to the train and follow it," Ron said and I sighed "You're lucky I saw you both. My clone is going to take it back to the station and erase the memories of anyone who saw it. Your luggage is already over in the luggage compartment since I cast a spell on them to end up there if anything happened and you didn't have time to put it in. Hedwig and Scabbers are there too," I said to them and we sat in the booth in silence. We talked a bit when the trolley came and talked about how our summer went and how we think it will be this year.
I told them that I told Dumbledore that I wanted to help Snape for my free period since I wasn't allowed to help him during my class time with him, and Dumbledore agreed to it. After a few hours, we changed into our robes and watched the scenery go by. When we got to school, we followed the third years to the carriages. I saw that a death-like looking horse was pulling the carriage. I saw how no one else saw them so I just ignored it and got on the last carriage with Harry and Ron. Something was wrong with the carriage because after a while it started going off course. It was taking towards the Whomping Willow. Ron tried to make it stop with his wand but it ended up breaking. I saw that we were close to the tree so I made my wings again and flew us out of the carriage. I flew back to school and into the corridors that lead to the main hall. We went in not long after some other people and we took our seats. After the ceremony, we all had dinner and then went to our dorms. When I got to my new dorm, I noticed that the bookshelf I had last year was also here and I had this dorm to myself again. When I opened the curtains to my bed, I saw that Kronos was already there. He jumped on me and I hugged him back "Kronos get off, you're heavy," I said as I let him go. He got off and I walked to the bookshelf. I pulled it and saw that it too had a secret room. The weird this is that my dragon egg was in there. I checked it and knew that in one more month, it was going to hatch.
I decided to sleep for the night and changed. Today was a tiring day so I need my sleep. lied down on my bed while Kronos lied down on his. I had already fed Venom and Winter so they should be fine until morning. I left the window and Winter's cage open so that she could fly around.
The next morning while Slytherin had herbology with Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, I went up to the fourth floor for my individual class. When I went in, I noticed that it looked the same as last year. I went into the training ground and started practicing what I learned last year with my dragons before summoning new ones to train with. After that, I went to my next classes.
After several classes, it was finally lunchtime. I just came out of Snape's class because I was assisting him. He thanked me for the help since he couldn't watch all the students at the same time and most needed help holding a knife properly and cutting ingredients into equal parts. I saw Ron taping his wand from the Slytherin table. I knew he was going to need a new wand for next year but for now, that will have to do.
I saw Errol coming down with a letter in his beak. I looked closer at the letter and noticed it was a howler. I stood up and went to the Gryffindor table. Ron opened the howler and it yelled "Ronald Weasley! How dare you steal that car?! I am absolutely disgusted. If it wasn't for Raina who had erased the memories of the muggles who saw you, we would be on the front page on the news. Your father is now facing an inquiry at work and it's entirely your fault! If you dare step another toe out of line, we'll bring you straight home!" then it turned to me "Thank you, Raina, for helping us and for getting Ron on the train," then it turned to Ginny "Ginny, dear, congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud," then it scoffed at Ron and ripped itself up. "Wow, good luck, Ron," I said and went back to my table.
After that, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor had Defense Against the Dark Arts. Apparently, Lockhart was going to be our new teacher. Fun. He started going on and on about himself and then took out pixies and told us to catch them. Hermione and I froze them all and students started putting them back. I help Neville off of the ceiling and then we left class.
