Raina POV
Once inside Snape's office, he turned to me and extended his hand. I sighed and gave him the vials with blood "They are both from Quirell, I'm sure you saw Venom around his leg today," he nodded and started checking the blood. "So, anything interesting?" I asked him "Yes, actually. The second blood contains unicorn blood," my eye's widened. "He's in the Dark Forest through the night," I whispered under my breath and he nodded. "Hagrid takes care of the creatures in the Dark Forest," Snape looked at me confused "So what?" "So, you, as the head of Slytherin, can assign me as his helper for extracurricular activities. I can keep tabs on the Dark Forest and report to you every morning before classes begin. This way, you're here watching Quirell, and I'm over there during the night locating him," I said and he seemed to think about it. After a while, he nodded looked at me "I was beginning to think that you were placed in the wrong house miss Raina, looks like I was wrong," I smirked at him and he signed a paper giving me permission to be in the Dark Forest with Hagrid as his helper. I nodded to him and left for dinner.
~One month later~
Everyone was going home for the Christmas holidays but I was staying here this year. Draco already went home and I sent him with the gifts I made for him, mom, and dad. He didn't like that I wasn't going but I told him that I still had to practice with Neva and I couldn't do that at home where I'm not allowed to do magic. He understood that and went home without me. I sent Winter to give Mr. and Mrs. Weasley their gifts along with Bill and Charlie. I gave Fred and George theirs and asked them to put Harry's, and Ron's under the Gryffindor Christmas tree. I gave Hermione her as well before she left and even gave one to my teachers. Since I spent so much time with Hagrid over the past month, I started teaching him how to read and write. He was very thankful to me and gave me a gift while I also gave him one. I gave him a book on dragons and how to identify which type of dragon is hatched from what type of egg. I know he will love it. I gave Snape dragon scales for his potions along with their blood and a hand-made new scarf since Venom accidentally destroyed his while trying to find a loose rat. I gave Dumbledore sweets and McGonagall a new Gryffindor colored scarf. I was excited for Christmas to get here so everyone can open their presents. Dumbledore and Snape gave me something as well so I can't wait to see what it is.
~Christmas Day~
I woke up early today and did my daily routine. After that, I went to the Slytherin Christmas tree and got my presents. I opened mom's first, she gave me five different books, all on one animal language. Then I opened dad's present. He gave me a snake necklace and a dragon crown. It had a dragon in the middle and a string of jewels going around for my head. It was meant to go from the back of my head to the middle of my forehead. I loved them both.

Then I opened McGonagall's present. It was a Griffin cub she left a note with him as well "Take care of him. I found him in a dark alley at Diagon Alley. He was on the verge of death and since I know you love creatures, I decided to give him to you. Love...McGonagall," I read out loud. I picked him up and started patting his fur. He seemed to like it because he purred the whole time. "I'm going to name you Kronos," I said and he purred again. Next was Draco's gift, he got me a book on all the purebloods in the Wizarding world "Of course he would," I said out loud to myself. Next was Harry's gift. He gave me more tools for me to use when I make clothes. The Weasleys gave me a knitted scarf and Mr. Weasley gave me one of his enchanted muggle objects. He gave me a muggle phone for me to use whenever I needed it; outside of Hogwarts of course since these object wouldn't work here. Next was Snape, he gave me a book on potions and not just any potions, these are forgotten and forbidden potions that were lost throughout time. Hagrid gave me a book on all the magical creatures in the world and Dumbledore gave me an invisibility cloak with a letter
I want to give this to you for emergency use only. I have a feeling that something bad will happen soon and that I won't be able to do anything about it. I'm counting on you miss Raina. Love...Dumbledore
Wow. Then I saw one more gift that I hadn't opened. It was Hermione's gift. I opened it and nearly cried when I did. There was a picture of all four of us. Harry, Ron, her, and me. We were all smiling and wearing casual clothes. This was taken one of our break days so we decided to have fun and just be casual that day. That was the most fun, I've had in months. Under the picture was an empty book with a letter inside. It said:
I know how much you like to sing so here is a journal for you to write your own songs. There is also another book at the bottom for your drawing on clothes you'd like to make. Hope you like it. Love...Hermione.
I smiled at this and took everything to my room. Kronos was following me up the stairs to my dorm. He couldn't quite yet use his wings so I would teach him how to use them. I put all my presents away and started teaching Kronos how to fly. Once he got the hang of it, he started flying around with Winter. I closed the window since it was closed and fed Kronos, I then started leaving "Now, you guys behave alright. I'll be back later today to feed you guys. And Winter, watch over Kronos," I said and left my dorm. As I went down, I ran into Lucas Prince. One of the noble pureblood families in the Wizarding World. "Good morning Miss Malfoy," he said with a simile on his face. I sighed and looked at him "What do you want Prince?" I asked. This isn't the first time he has tried to be sweet but I don't buy it. Almost every time he smiles at me I know he is either planning something or wants something from me "Why the hostility? Can't I just smile and greet a fellow housemate?" he asked and I tried to move away from him but he blocked my exit "Move Prince or I'll freeze you," I said while glaring at him. He moved and I left. Why can't that kid leave me alone? And I have to deal with him for six more years. Jesus help me so I don't kill him. (Picture of him is in the media)
I made my way to Hagrid and continued to help him today. He thanked me for the book and I nodded at him. We went into the Dark Forest and looked around for a unicorn. We didn't find one so he must not have left the school yet. We went back inside and I decided to pay a visit to that mirror again. I want to see my family again.
As I made my way there, I ran into Filch, Snape, and Quirrell "Professor Snape, is something wrong?" I asked them as Filch put his hand on me "Mr. Filch, please take your hand off of her. She has permission to be out of bed at this hour," he did as told "Miss Raina, were you in the restricted section a few moments ago?" Snape asked and I shook my head "I haven't been on campus all day. I was with Hagrid and we just got back from the Dark Forest. Nothing out of the ordinary. I was on my way to bed right now," I answered and he nodded. "Then get to bed, we still have a student out of bed to find," he said and all three of them walked away. I went into the room where the mirror was and I was surprised to see Harry there. I stood behind him and placed my hand on his shoulder. He turned to me and then back at the mirror "You see your parents?" I asked him and he nodded. "What does this mirror do exactly?" he asked me "It shows someone the hearts most wanted desire, not what they think they want but the heart's most deepest and darkest secret. You for example, who haven't met your parents, long to feel them close to you. To see them," I finished and he smiled.
"What do you see, Raina?" he asked me and I smiled sadly "I see the family I left behind," I said and he looked at me confused. "Imma tell you a little secret of mine, Harry. This is something no one must ever know. You have to promise me that you will tell no one," I said and he nodded "I promise," I knew he wasn't lying so I took a deep breath and sighed. "11 years ago, I died saving my friends from a monster that was going to kill us all. A dragon by the name of Acnologia. He was the king of dragons. I had to do something to stop him so I took his attention from my friends and did a spell to kill him, but for the spell to work, I too had to die. I was pretty much dead when my friends found me. One of them had healing magic so she healed me once she found out I still had a pulse, it was faint but it was there. My world crystalized my body so that I could make a choice. I could either wait around in limbo for eternaty or I could come to this world and help save it from Voldemort," I let him sink it in then continued. "I chose to come here and save this world because no matter what I can't leave people to fight on their own and possibly die when I can help and do something about it. If I succeeded in taking down Voldemort then I would get my life back. I would be able to live with my family again, but even if that wasn't an option, I would've still chosen to come here and help rid this world of Him. I thought I was going to be brought here in a different body and at my age but I wasn't. I was reborn into this world in the form of a baby. And as Draco Malfoy's twin none the less. But anyway, so now all I have to do is bide my time and stop Voldemort at every attempt he takes to come back to life. When Voldemort is finally dead, then I will be allowedback home and I will seize to exsist in this world." When I finished he had a shocked look on his face.
"But, when you leave, won't you already be attached to this world to even want to leave?" he asked me and I nodded "That is why I come here, I want to see my heart most wanted desire. After 11 years, I still want to go home. But it gets harder everyday to say that by the end of this I will be home. I have friends over there who are like my family. They have fought for me and saved me. They have come to me for help when they needed it and they never left me behind. But here, I have people to need me. I have people to I would also give my life for. I have figured out things here that I can do without the help of others. I have realized, here, that I amso much stronger than what I believed myself to be. So I plan to look at this mirror everyday and see if my heart's desire ever changes," I answered him and he smiled. He hugged me and said "As long as you're happy, then I'm happy," he said and I hugged him back. After that, I pulled away and said "You better get to bed now, Snape, Quirrell, and Filch are looking for the student out of bed and since I have permission, then that means they are looking for you," I said and he nodded. He went to his room and I went to mine. I fed my friends and the opened the window so Winter to fly if she wanted. Kronos jumped on my bed and curled up next to me.
