The first sliver of dawn peeked through the window, painting golden lines across Lorelei's sleeping face. Curled up in Katia's arms, she looked like a beautiful statue bathed in sunlight. A contented sigh escaped Katia's lips as she watched her love sleep, the warmth of their shared night still clinging to them like a sweet dream.
Memories of all they had done danced in Katia's mind - playful kisses that turned into a slow burn, the rediscovery of each other's bodies, and the muffled sons of moans and laughter that filled the room. She liked it how they were abled to be so much free around each others. It was instinctive, better than before like the time apart was not that long.
They had a night of passion, the proof of a love that had defied time. Katiandra was more addicted that ever, the young woman simple existence was her weakness. Her everything.
Lorelei stirred, her eyes fluttering opened to Katia's gaze on her. A blush bloomed across her cheeks, but a playful glint danced in her eyes the moment she met hers, the soft crystal green eyes that was already studying her attentively did not wavered.
"Good morning, my love," Katia murmured, her voice husky with sleep and desire a small smile plastered on her luscious lips.
Lorelei stretched, a slow, languid movement that sent a delicious shiver down Katia's spine.
"Good morning," she replied, her voice a sleepy rasp. "Honestly, this was far away the best night I ever had. All your ideas were pretty⦠persuasive," she admitted with a shy smile.
Katia chuckled, the sound rumbling deep in her chest. "Indeed, my queen..."
The way Lorelei's eyes shone upon hearing that endearment name had katiandra heart fluttering for miles, she had to place a tender kiss on her forehead holding her tight for a second then released to look in her eyes continuing with her phrase.
"But I think we could do better next time, maybe go for the rooftop the next time though your bed offer a more... comfortable setting for our negotiations," she teased.
Lorelei's laugh filled the room, a music that warmed Katia's soul.
"Maybe," she conceded, winking playfully. "But I have to insist, the view from the rooftop isn't bad either, you will see by yourself." Not knowing why she kept insisting on having a moment on the rooftop Lorelei countered biting her lower lips at the end of her sentence.
Deep down she wanted to make true all the fantasies she had made on that place were so engraved in her mind she could almost taste it now that the woman she loved was there.
Their eyes locked, a silent conversation filled with unspoken desires, playful teasing, and a love so deep it felt sureall for each of them. Katia gently traced a finger down Lorelei's cheek.
"We should probably get up," shaking her head at her stubbornness, Katia whispered, her voice thick with affection. But the warmth in her eyes told a different story.
Lorelei's breath hitched. "Going where?" she countered, a playful smile on her lips. She felt lazy for once, deep down she knew they could stay there for as long as they wanted without it weighing on them, that was the power money gave and she felt the need to act like the rich woman she was after all.
Reading her like an opened book,
Katia leaned in closely smilling at her lover bratty attitude, her lips brushing against Lorelei's ear. "Maybe," she murmured, her voice laced with a playful challenge, "we can spend a little more time⦠negotiating the terms of that rooftop date you so much want ."
A spark ignited in Lorelei's eyes, and a thrill coursed through her. Challenges could wait. Right now, all that mattered was the love she could between them, a love they were both eager to explore.
With a gentle hand, Katia cupped Lorelei's face and drew her in for a slow, lingering kiss. It was a kiss filled with the tenderness of rediscovery and passion. Their lips moved in perfect harmony, a silent promise of heavenly moments throughout the day.
When they finally broke apart, breathless and flushed, Lorelei whispered,
"Just a little longer hmm?"
Katia's heart melted, her lips pulled for a smile, her roaming Lorelei's angelic face like a kid looking at a Christmas gift.
"As long as you want, my love," she replied, pulling Lorelei close for another round of passionate kisses that left them weak and tangled in the sheets hours later resting in each other's arms.
A week of tender moments followed afterwards. For the next seven days, Lorelei's quarters, the entire north and west wings of the mansion, became their nest.
It was a self-proclaimed honeymoon, a private world filled with rediscovering each other.
The rest of the household remained blissfully unaware, only wondering what was going on. Breakfast arrived on their private balcony overlooking the gardens, filled with whispered jokes and stolen kisses.
Lunchs were passed through picnics by the hidden lake, the garden or the rooftop, the gentle sounds of nature a soothing backdrop for the silent discussions of theirs hearts.
Evenings were spent exploring the mansion's hidden nooks and crannies, after the bodyguards had cleared the way under the Queen orders. She wanted Lorelei for herself with no one standing on the way. Each day a spark that ignited a new level of desire and love.
Lorelei, emboldened by Katia's unwavering love, shone bright. She was witty, playful, and undeniably passionate. Katiandra, in turn, reveled in that newfound side of her love, their laughter echoing through the silent corridors.
All of that was not all sunshine and roses. For katiandra it felt a bit wrong to be holding her partner for herself, she wanted to be free to do it without making a point to her parents about who had the upper hand.
One day they were walking throughout the garden, fingers intertwined, they had left the perimeter where no one could see them five minutes ago but the older woman did not feel like it to remind it to her lover who turned at that moment toward her smiling.
Her grey orbs shining so bright katiandra could only smiled at her with no restriction even feeling shy under that much love.
"This is more than a dream, thank you love, I, I thought, I mean..." searching her words Lorelei's just stood there motionless, her brain shutting down to the level of worries that overwhelmed her for a moment from no were.
Alarmed, katiandra's eyes focused on her lover nostalgic grey orbs, all the Queen could see in them was a raw fear, she had seen it here and there from that first day after she had come back, every time when the young woman thought she was not focused on her, not once did it happened.
This occasion was all she needed to read behind the mask of strength Lorelei decided to wear for her sake and do something about it.
All those years of separation had traumatized her to the point she was afraid of losing her again. It pained the Queen to know she was not able to protect her from herself.
She knew that above all spiritual dimension of power she may pertain to, the young woman was one hundred percent a human in need of more attention than many could think. She needed to be love, to be able to love the humanity at the scale her call had designed her to do.
Cupping her face with all the tenderness she could katiandra's eyes anchored in hers partner ones conveying all the love she could mustered at the moment.
"Hey, no, no, I do not want to see you sad, the past is the past.We are here, love, together. Believe me I, I am not letting go - never! Never... this is it!"
"But what if - you..." stuck in the loop of the past for a moment Lorelei's heart gave in her fear, while her eyes glowed in a way that made katiandra heart dropped in her stomack.
"No babe. No but, the goals of my life now are to make you happy, in all way, anything, until your last breath and after my love. As long as the Universe will keep us in this realm." the Queen said tenderly placing a soft kiss on her lips to shut another round of worries, the brunette fingers caressed the young woman soft lips then placed hers on her temple.
"Okay babe?"
"Okay..."Breathing out shakily, Lorelei's mumbled her eyes searching in her soulmate one's seeking another level of confirmation, she couldn't pushed herself to not fear an eventual departure of her lover, again.
To be left alone frightened her to no end, she had tried to be strong and take all she could for the passed days. What she knew, was that she could not survive another set of years where her soulmate was not present.
After a long moment katia let her seek reassurance in her soul, at some point the young woman finally closed her eyes as they rested their foreheads on each others breathing slowly.
Out of fairness katiandra felt a coldness going through her spine as she squeezed her lover in a tight embrace, right there in the middle of the garden where ther stood.
Trust was something that was crucial for Lorelei. The older woman knew that for sure. Pulling her deeper in her arms, she put her face in Lorelei's hairs, taking in their scent like a drugs addict, her right hand massaging her head. Without trust whatever they shared would have been a dead end.
Her heart beating as she placed a kiss on her partner temple while her face was hidden in her breast, Katia breathed out closing her eyes.
"I know I was not the best partner anyone could dream off, but I am here now, for you, for us... nothing could take me away from you, nothing. Even over my dead body."
Closing her eyes tightly Lorelei's head nodded as she stayed still in the warm embrace they were sharing, the sun rays  soft on them.
"You are my wife, I promised you that from the beginning. Remember that day in my office. From the moment I saw you I knew. Mine. You are. That will never change love. Never."
It was a rare day, one of those when garden could lulled even the hardest heart by the beauty of the flowers artistically taken care of.
Standing there, they were not aware of the person standing at the other side of the large window of the inside garden not far from them, they had witnessed it all. Bertha, Lorelei's mother, her eyes glued on the women forms, sighed.
She knew her daughter behaviours, the one at the moment was easier to translate. She was completely afraid. Though Her unspoken language read smitten, she was far gone.
Shaking her head, her eyes traveled over the Queen body then on her daughter who was clinging on the woman, defeated Bertha shrugged her shoulders walking away aware there were battles to avoid in life. She may not understand what all of it mean but she was not a fool to go against it.
"God choice is not human choices for sure."
Blissfully unaware of the audience they had, the two women stayed entangled in each other's arms. Bathed by the sun shining on them
For the two lovers, the week after that small moment of fear, flew by in a whirlwind of love, A laughter, and passion. It was a necessary pause, a reaffirmation of the bond that held them together.
