This version of Kayley was an entire other person. It was another woman reassembling her. Whose eyes glowed like bonfire with happiness always searching for someone support behind the laptop. They all knew who it was.
The third figure at the back of the room kept talking with them while the Queen could barely contain herself. She felt the need to see her lover it was almost painful, but she knew there were prerequisites for them to be talking which was her children. She had to be a certain way with them to copy the same mechanism with her lover.
So she kept smiling as genuinely as she could to not show her daughters the only one she wanted was Lorelei because she loved them all, even though differently.
In a motherly way, for her daughter and passion was all defining Lorelei. She was her soulmate, her best friend someone more than her flesh. She was her soul. Without her there were no her. She knew it was her existence, however unseen or known that had powered her from the beginning. The soul just know what the mind don't.
Patient with the process, at the prospect to be at least sure she would see and talk to her. The Queen swallowed what she already felt as anticipation. She never thought she could be this way, like a teenager on their first crush. All her body was on overdrive.
She could not regulate the way her heart was beating faster or the wetness of her palm she was retraining herself to not wiped on her pant. Crossing her one leg over the other, she quickly settled back to a normal seating position, feeling staying in that position would have not arranged how she already felt.
On the other side the shock was real. The fact that Miss Kamali was really a destiny changing person send to make magic on mortals hearts was not to be discussed. All of them could comprehended why the Queen loved her as her own, which was another reason to think whatever they were doing was pointless.
What were they even searching? At this point even Arthur was not certain anymore. He could see the happiness on his sons face, making it impossible to required a way for theirs sisters to come back. This look like a lost battles. He may be the king but he was also a part of a family where what his wife could do, that was approved by the children, was a veto by itself to whatever he wanted as the presumably head of them.
Even to the depth of his ill-mannered heart, he recognized favour on someone. As a spiritual man he knew the rules. Kamali was the safest bet even him could not disturb.
He knew the saying that goes affirming
" when God chose someone even the Evil Most bow to help."
Lorelei was that from the beginning. He could see in the Queen eyes the same light as when she looked at her children. Maybe they shone more, that was her way to be appreciative of her reflection in the young woman who was completely a younger version of her ego.
Even their heir, the next in line had mentioned it years ago feeling relieved there was someone else to feed his mother hunger for success and perfection. It really was a weight off his shoulders.
No wonder then that the Queen was still mentoring her untill now by being so in tune with her well-being. It was... Like a fact she had to be happy and healthy to keep Katiandra joy and pride up. Arthur has been thinking about it since the last video call.
Remembering how theirs lives all changed as soon as the young woman had entered their lives. His wife has took charge of her right away getting rid of her own son. She had become her life project. Strategic, cold, straight to the point was how she had been moulting the young woman to be like her. For her to do as she has wished to do but could not because of her arranged marriage. It was reflected narcissism in plain sight.
Shaking his head to the never changing cold personality, Arthur face tightened wondering what would happen to his wife puppy the moment she would not be there for her anymore. For he firmly believe she was holding a leach that was tied on Kamali neck. What he was sure was that as be knew his wife she would not let go even after her last breath.
The moment Lorelei came in sight, standing near Kayley, he wandered an appreciative stare on her body and face. Stunning. Beautiful and fresh. Like he liked them. The two other women were already saying their goodbyes to their mother while she stood there silently waiting.
The woman had changed since their last chat, colors were visible on her like she just needed to be command for it to happen. There were things Arthur knew true were thing that never change. Fate active in someone life. The moment his wife has opened that genius scholarship, he knew she was not aware their destinies would be tied. Now just being her, she felt responsible of the you woman.
In the spirit world, he had ventured far enough to know, Kamali was one of a kind, he could not get a grip on her like he could never do with his wife. He had sought certain help with no results. Her aura was not reachable. He had settled to believe there were people who were just fleeting through life, unbothered amongst others that were anyone with a semblance of spiritual power puppies.
He knew Katiandra was one of those untameable soul, since he were given his mother place on their realm, he could only keep an eye on her with what his mother had given him as power and the work of the Oracle. But he could not control her like he could do with others.
Some called it dark witchcraft, he knew it was a gift, depending on where you stood. It helped to plan ahead of time what could get messy. If it was not a good thing, the Oracle would have never came back to help his family.
As for the Queen, What she was planning with Lorelei was simply put in "YOU WILL SHINE MORE THAN ME" Thing. Right there he came to believe what Kayley had said the first day about that young woman, being their mother daughter in the soul.
She had out done it with Lorelei. Pushing her far out of his reach, while lengthening her reach on the world. Through Lorelei she had became that legacy she always wanted, getting bigger everyday. His wife knew him too well. If he could have get a better chance, he have not fail for Kamali was a better way to pressure his wife to do his will. But she had foreseen that pushing away her only weakness.
There was no pressure left. His sons were out of the equation because he knew their mother would let it be, knowing he would be hurting himself. He did not mind the girls, yes they were his flesh and blood but sons were what he had always favor. Patriarchy run in his veins. Of that he was unrepentant.
A movement on the large screen that took all the wall in front of them, had him zoning out of his head. His eyes focusing on the well mannered young woman that now sat on the spot preciously occupied by his daughters.
She really had changed in all way, even gain some weight by how her cheeks were more full than last time looking around he could see everyone in the room was making the same conclusion, by how they all nodded appreciative of her appearance not that she was ugly the last time. No, she was just skinnier than now.
Prepared for the conference call, Katiandra could only smiled at the sight that graced her eyes. This was a version of Lorelei she loved to see. Colors have came back on Lorelei face, her eyes glowing like those of a child met hers searchingly warming her heart.
"Professor Kamali-- I am really happy to see you have improved. You look healthy. That is beautiful. I guess Mama Kamali have been around."
More than a question it was a statement. Knowing it was her stating the obvious, Lorelei snorted in a way that had every one watching in the palace room laughing behind their hands in fear of the king angriness. Though his sons hide it not, Which he let slide. Even him was amused.
They were appraising the young woman courageous move, only Alicia was that comfortable with their mother.
Mothers in Porys could be maternal, even to big officers of the kingdom of even the king. Arthur himself or his sons could not hide from their Royal mothero. No one could outspeak to one of them it was an unwritten rule that respected by all the children young and all.
Back to Lorelei, the young woman leaned over the screen glancing toward what seemed to be the door to be sure her mother would not appear from no where, before shaking her head in defeat.
"She is everywhere! Like literally! Days and nights! Papa won't even help me. I mean, come on! You said it yourself just now. I AM FINE! But for her no.... I am her personal project now. With all due respect Prof, I do not know what you told her! She, she, completely constructed her camp in MY bedroom! For TWO MONTHS! Thank to Kayley who convinced her two were enough! But guess the greatest news?"
Not waiting for the Queen reaction, Lorelei almost popping one vein on her temple kept pointing at the door like it did something to her personally.
"She won't be out of here for the next six months! She said, she, she has to, I quote, make sure her baby is safe. Who is her baby!? I am no one baby! Urghhhh! I get the point of her being here but I Am FINE. Please tell her that... She will listen to you. Could you do something Pleaseee?"
Too far gone by how much fun this Lorelei she had never met before was talking about her mother invading her privacy, the Queen who still felt that pinch in her heart feeling her distress like an attack that was also directed at her decided to push it away knowing there were no danger for her lover.
Feeling all her body alive, the Queen let go of the pressure that had locked her in herself for so long, producing a sound that took everyone by surprise, they were all flabbergasted. Shel laughed, not a simple one. No, one of those mesmerizing sounds that was heard hardly around the palace.
She was not faking it. She felt like laughing so she did, it came naturally with Lorelei. Tears at the corner of her eyes. This was so personal some felt ashamed of witnessing it while her son's did not like the way their father was exposing their mother to strangers eyes.
The way she was free with Kamali was exactly how she was with her daughters carefree like she had nothing to hide even though they knew that she knew they were watching, what was the point in doing this? The young woman all the officers present thought was like the Queen child she was not about to let out a secret if she knew one.
" Dear, that is Porys mothers for you. Six months is not that long hmmm. What is it with the long eyes? Do not mind her..., let her be everywhere... That is her job. And Kamali?"
Defeated all Lorelei could do was glanced up expectantly, thinking mercy will be given but a fox stare never change. She just knew.
"Yes professor?"
"You will always be a 'Baby' for her. Even when you will be a hundred years old. Honey, I know you love her. Give her that okay? She has not seen you for years. That is what she needs now, you are her only child, and from the moment she gave birth to you, my dear you became her only project. I am a mother. I know what I am talking about. For all those that are mine I will always find the time of the days and nights if I feel that am needed. That kind of love come from deeper than what anyone could know. It is something no one could know about but the soul.."
Stopping there to let her understand what she was trying to tell her, she soon was rewarded by the small smile she recognized for what it was. She was pleased.
Feeling bold Katiandra moved backwards in the couch she was seating in, she had decided to make this more informal, like something normal they would be doing without the scrutiny.
Hoping somewhat that the way she was appearing in a more vulnerable clothing would push Arthur to stop his vultures from looking. It was disrespectful to let people see her like that, she knew his pride. She would push as far as she could.
Even though it was more to reconquer whatever she had lost in Lorelei. For this conference she wore a dark green cotton cargo pants leisure trousers with an undershirt of the color that was like a second skin to her upper body, showing no cleavage.
It was showing off her firm breasts. Lot of her skin was on display, the green of her clothes contrasting with the green in her eyes. Her make-up was as natural as she knew her partner loved it. Her hairs were in a perfect made ponytail showing the line of her neck . Lorelei could keep her lips there kissing it's line for hours. More that twice Katiandra had came undone only with her doing that.
She knew it was difficult for Lorelei to keep her eyes up, to not get caught. But the fact that she was warned by Sloan again made it easier. She would have the copy of this later to analyze what she was wearing in time. Or indulged in her love beauty without getting caught salivating on the screen.
Placing one of her right bare foot under her left thigh while straightening her posture, the older woman knew her chest moved a little up knowing what it was doing to her partner.
Swallowing suddenly, Lorelei diverted her eyes looking everywhere but to the stunning body on display for her to see. She had always loved it when she wore simple clothes like those, they gave her a super model vibe. She could be anyone at that moment but the Queen of Porys.
Keeping her face straight, the Queen took something on the couch armrest near placing them on her nose, giving her the vibe of dominance she knew always has Lorelei on her knees. Humming for no reason to get the young woman attention, which she did, she occupied herself with some paperworks she had placed near her before glancing to an already focused pair of grey eyes.
Lorelei was completely invested in her. Really for the first time not losing a thing about the sight before her. One would think it was because she thought that they were about to start working. Que nenni, Katiandra knew that seriousness of hers.
She just loved to see her with her eyeglasses on. A turn on she had told her it was. Leading without exception to the end desired effect. Impossible right now. This was jus a tease.
Playing it off Katiandra re-entered her Queen mode getting serious but knowing she had not lose her approach in flirting, intelligently.
" Dear do not sell yourself short. If you can make Kayley laughs like I saw minutes before. Which is an accomplishment I never thought was possible even in my wildest dreams. I could not thanks you enough for that. Kayley she is, my soul. That child is unique for me... To see her like that-- thanks you. I hope you know you are my family too."
Nodding feeling her throat becoming soar, Lorelei breathed out feeling too emotional on this conversation.
Kayley who had stayed to see what it looked like when Lorelei was in their mother presence was not only astonished to see the strong woman she had came to respect changed completely. It was like she was hung on the Queen words. Her body was alive.
Her eyes were too. What made Kayley cried was those words. She did not know. Breathing out she stood walking out of the room.
It was too much she thought the same as Lorelei was thinking too, too much with Katiandra been so sweet and provocative. How was she expecting her to stay indifferent, and let nothing come out of her mouth if she kept doing what she was doing?
Sending her a warning stare, the young professor pointed at the papers the Queen held in her hands knowing there was no way she could keep up with their current topic without blurting out her undying love for the majesty of her heart.
Not finished Katiandra held her perfection manicured index finger up, this time really serious.
" Before we start. I want you to know that if you were able to give a chance to Kayley. You could do it with your Mama. Give her some good times. Alright? I expect you on your best behavior with her from now on. Can you do that for me? Hmm? Trust me I miss my girls a lot and wish to hug them most of the time. If your mom can have you, that is a blessing. Six months she said, so be it. Now tell me about those researches with Alicia? How is it all going on?"
Breathing out in defeat for not sorting the current situation conserving her mother Lorelei wondered how she was even thinking of getting her way with Katiandra. All she needed to say was "for me" with that raspy tone she always used when she really wanted her in an unbearable way. And it was game over. She would do whatever she wanted.
Shoulders slumbered a moment to show she was not happy with any of this, she dramatically sighed Under The Queen tender but amused gaze before straightening clearly moving on. That was it. Like always the Queen had the last word. Arthur loathed it but she always does it. It was her signature in all she did.
