The elevator doors closed on the sight of Norman brother attempts of a straight face reminding Katiandra what just happened, she knew in a way how the man felt behind the mask he was wearing after hearing that his brother was gone.
It hurts, it did, she knew deep in his heart he was aware he could mostly not see him again. That was the country in which they were, everything was control to the person you call to the reason why you wanted to go outside of the country.
He wasn't prepared to his absence as she wasn't prepared of letting go of her daughter in this hurried way.
But they both knew that it has to be done because Norman knew what he was doing when he became a military at the service of the country and Kayley couldn't stayed here anymore not when she got to the extent of harming herself in all the way possible.
That image of her hands covered with her blood appeared in the Queen head refusing to go away whatever she did to push it out of her mind. Cringing she held her belly trying to regulate her breath with no success.
Emptiness clouded her heart. It was tearing everything she has built lately leaving her bare. Bare of not protecting her child like she should have. Bare off all the privileges her position grant her that served for nothing in saving her daughter.
Bare of facing once again the weakness to be a woman in a society men distorted because they had more power. She felt so weak, morally, physically even in a spiritual level, that she kept asking the Divinity that rule the universe why? Why her child had to face such hard fate?
She felt lost like she was trapped in a hole that was closing itself on her keeping her in the dark. That was what she suddenly felt like in, the light in the expensive cage in her eyes seemed like dimming, blinking furiously like one would do when they are pushing the sleep away her hands let go of the files she took in her car thinking she could carry them in her office, to grip her chest.
Feeling like the ground was moving under her feet trying to overthrow her, she had the time to place her right hand on the wall of the elevator closing her eyes trying her best to stay up.
Happy to hear the noise of the elevator, Lorelei looked up eyes glowing at the sight of the woman only to frown at how low she visibly was.
Panicked, she stood up in a hurry she had her in her arms in a matter of second tightening her arms around the woman who held her like she was a lifebuoy breathing jerkily like she was almost drowned.
Exhaling Lorelei scent longer than usual her nose hide in her neck she started rubbing her nose on the woman skin, soon using her mouth she squeezed her body on her another kind of rush cursing her blood, making her forgot all her problems for the time being. It was a drug she needed to have in her system to forget.
"I need you. I need you." Hearing those words made Lorelei more than worry. She was about to look at her when she felt lips on hers angrily pushing on her. Lost by the way her body reacted, warmth spreading all over her body she lost herself in the mature woman touch.
Knowing something was off she let her do, not that her body left her any choice, knowing she would never hurt her even in that state. She could only quiver submitting her all to her.
Seeing red, Katiandra practically tore Lorelei clothes to have access to her skin while pushing her on her desk. Things when to almost animalistic to slowly making love, from her office to the bedroom where they finally ended up after hours at it, tired, sore, but feeling alive again.
Katiandra held her lover body against her knowing it certainly will hurt her after, interwhining theirs fingers she looked at it more in love than before if it was possible. Lorelei was her rock the one that save and always will save her.
She felt stronger, more stable and her mind was at peace. She could feel her partner breath on her chest, saying nothing just waiting for her to speak leaving her all the time she wanted.
Thankful for that Katiandra who felt more tired than anything else, not feeling like speaking closed her eyes immediately falling asleep like she just had to touch an off key to do so.
Aware she wasn't there anymore Lorelei emitted a feinted sigh of relief for the strong woman thinking she could at least find some release in her and now in the sleep.
Whatever was bothering her she knew at the right time she would tell her. Feeling her muscles sore, she smiled not against the activities they just had, which was much needed to her opinion. Closing her eyes she followed her in the nothingness that was sleep praying for things to be better when they will wake up.
"Lincoln? Alfred!? What are you both doing here?" Curious from where she was working with two foreign women to clean artefacts that was retrieved the day before but was at her mother ordered apparently need to be classified before the end of the week.
Frowning at her brothers visit to the museum she told the women to keep going while she turned to the guard next her.
She knew they were not the kind to come here, they would go the the University but taking a trip so far to the museum was not strange but weird.
Moving towards them to not disturb the work they where doing under the tent that was specially placed there in plain air because of the amount of dust the item was filled with, Alicia nodded at some of her co-workers who wasn't far away.
At least they all came to respect her then wiped her hand on a towel one of her body guard handed her like they always do to remove the dust on them followed just after with a sanitizer lotion, then walked towards the two men that was heading towards her with worried faces.
Taking in the way she was casually clothed, Lincoln frowned wandering his gaze around, she was about to roll her eyes like she was now used to with Lorelei when she refrained herself knowing Lincoln was certainly her brother but in public he had an image to keep which made him more stern.
"Calm down Lincoln, you have no one to kill around here. Wearing Jean's and t-shirt will not have all men jumping on me. This place looked like a military base, there are guards. No who am I kidding? they all are from secret service everywhere here plus. Everyone here are shitless afraid of Mom let alone Lorelei. She terrorize them only by the mention of her name."
Chuckling at how deflated he was at her reading him so well which she kind of learned by befriending Lorelei, he shook his head while hugging her his face more relaxed.
She indulged in the public affectionate gesture which wasn't something Lincoln did with everyone. Closing her eyes with his cologne hitting her nostrils she finally let go of him, she smiled at how he looked in his tunic.
Like always when he was out officially working, he was clothed in the traditional uniform which has Zurow mark on it. A white tuxedo that fit him like a model with a cap similar to the military one.
She knew that to be the heir of the crown he had to be graded with a title that was obtained in a military school as all the Zurow heirs before him he had to do it, passing, being the leader of his promotion.
He was the pride of their father who always brag about God blessing him with the best of the world , that was his words the day Lincoln was promoted knight of the crown all of that with all the honors of his foreigners instructors.
Blinking as she felt someone hand in her back she diverted her eyes to the person just to be met with Alfred soft gaze and bright smile.
He was always so positive whatever the situation was, he was clothed with the same uniform the only but important difference being the color of his, the blue represent his place as the second heir, that mean his brother right hand.
"You are my sister, I can't help it."
Hugging his sister after Lincoln did uttering those words, Alfred stare took the building in all its length his hand hiding his eyes to the blindness of the sun to end at the level of their mother penthouse.
Following his stare, Alicia bite her tongue in her mouth keeping her face expressionless knowing there were no way one of them could go up there.
Even her couldn't make it there with the head her mother had when she came back from wherever she was and the amount of time they already made without any signs she could just imagine what was going on.
Her mother distressed face and the poor state of her clothes told Alicia she needed Lorelei to repair her, she never saw her like that though, so defeated behind a mask of false happiness she did when they met early, afraid she prayed Lorelei could do something to help her.
Pushing those thoughts away she shook her head feeling the breeze on her arms she blinked at the intensity of the outside light when she was forced to look in Lincoln way remembering what she previously asked.
"I asked you a question. You haven't answered." Diverting the conversation to not have them focused on the condo she countered sensing what brought them was important.
Sighing Alfred looked at their older brother who just wandered his gaze around like he was searching someone through their mother bodyguards. Not seeing it he brought his attention back on Alicia.
"Have you already see Norman? Is Mom down here?" His eyes squinted, he questionned looking straight at her.
She shrugged doing as if she was trying to remember, in doing so she met his intimidating gaze that could make people do everything he wanted without even giving it a second thought. It could do nothing to her though, for she was used to it.
"Norman is not here, but Mom is up in the condo apparently having a conference call, it has to be important because she requested to not be disturb."
Raphaëlly who stood not far from them didn't move or changed anything on his face when prince Lincoln gaze felt on him a moment to resettle on his sister.
Not knowing what was on Lincoln who remarked the pinof chief security on the men he knew as the second of Norman. Sighed putting his fingers in his hairs moving them frustrated.
Knowing his mother would tell him that the change of her security was none of his problem as she did in the past. He let go of the matter searching another approach.
"And Lorelei?" Moving her head towards the building Alicia hands found place in her back pockets nonchalantly.
"With her, normally she would be working with me but... You know apparently all the artefacts will be transfer soon. We all know Mom do not like last minute things."
Keeping her calm as she told them things she knew was all lies Alicia didn't feel a bit of remorse knowing it wouldn't be good if they discovered what their mother was really doing up in her condo with Lorelei.
Telling herself it was for their mother good she met Lincoln eyes keeping hers as Innocent as she could, knowing he could be like their father sometimes. Very homophobic. He would always praise the one removing such stain on the surface of the Earth as he called them.
"Okay then, I, I will call her, but if you see her tell her Kayley is nowhere to be seen. Dad is furious. I don't know... I don't know what to do." Massaging his temple under Alicia opened mouth he started walking toward the car with them followed him.
"We first thought she disappeared as she always do but this time is different I can feel it."
Nodding toward his sister lost face as she thought about his words Alfred waited for what was to come leaving him the lead as the tradition wanted because Lincoln was the one that would be the next king.
"I, okay...as soon as I see her she will be informed." Shaking her head to think clearly she mumbled weakly thinking back at her mother early state not knowing if it was related.
Kissing her forehead they both entered in their car that drove them away followed by their escort.
