"Do as the Queen said. Mrs killian is the one who will represent my country. Which as you know and as my wife said promote gender equality. She is the best... Then the place is hers with the same avantages due to her male colleague..."
The whole time Arthur uttered those words he had his gaze firmly connected to the Minister of health, that predatory smile that anyone who knew him would definite as sickening while others could think he was just a player.
"Back talk to my wife again and you will not see the light of the day afterwards."
Whispering the last part as he fake to remove something on his shoulder Arthur walked past him smiling happily as if he just did the most great joke, the man following suit his tongue bitterly pronouncing words he didn't want to utter.
"I will do my king, it would never happen again you Excellency."
Nodding at him as her husband wasn't minding him anymore the Queen stared at his forehead since he refused to look up at her after the thread of her husband.
" I will have my right hand make sure you doesn't need anything." That said sweetly to him as he glanced up then immediately put his gaze down Katiandra followed her husband toward the US ambassador, holding his hand like the perfect wife.
What she was capable of doing to get them out of this astonished herself, she never held his hand never at all or let alone smile at him as she did today, the thing was if he had his guard down she could have it all, like she just save Amara killian head.
Spotting the said surgeon in a corner near were they were now standing talking to Jackson
Barrett, the US embassador, Ms Malone took a step back to give them privacy much to run out of the Queen gaze but the woman wasn't having it.
"Ms Malone Right?" The two men stopped their conversation to look at her suprised she knew the young woman name.
"I already met her, you know that day in the hospital in Mrs killian office. I can't help it my memory just do that." Explaining it to her husband avoid crude details that was still impregnate in her mind, Katiandra had to look right in his eyes like the loving wife she knew she didn't want to be for him, but what could she do?
Squinting his eyes like he was trying to remember the encounter, he finally got it tilting his head.
"Yes I remember now, God you really has an eidetic memory. She can remember things normal people can't. Do you believe it?"
Nodding appreciatively, more than impressed Barret moved back to be at the same level as Ms Malone.
"Yes my Queen it's Eva Malone. She is a hard-working asset for our country, it is a chance to have her working with me."
Almost bragging like he was doing an advertisement on TV for a product, the man beam his hand pointed at the young woman like there were someone else near him. Smiling at how he was playing her game unconsciously the Queen nodded at the same time as her husband.
"That is good to know then, it will serve us in the future."
Looking at the man who always try his best to not look straight at her through her eyes lashes she glanced at her husband still holding his hand.
"You certainly know about doctor Anahy passing out."
Hearing that Barret smile fade replaced by a blankness then his face displayed a little bit of sadness now playing the one who was sorry to not pass for insensitive. Dr Anahy he knew was a great figure for their country.
"Yes, it is sad my condolences. It is a great lost for your country. Such a genius, he contribute those last years to a lot of researchs."
The last part of his phrase was visibly a lie even Arthur could tell aware his wife just saved it again.
"Thanks but you know we have the best here to replace him. Doctor Killian will be going there tomorrow to take it where he stop. She is not stranger to those researchs it would only be fluent."
Analysing the drastic change on his face Arthur Zurow straightened his posture while his hand found its way in his wife back squeezing it a little bit for saving it.
"I, huh, Mrs killian?! Yeah she really is hmm good at her work. This is a good... surprise." Doing his best to hide his astonishment the man kept nodding vigorously visibly happy to hear the news.
Meeting her husband gaze in an 'You See' way katiandra smiled brightly at her opponent, then met the young woman suprised yet happy eyes.
"I hope so, that is why I asked about Malone. She already met Mrs killian before and it would be a great help if she could assist her there for a moment. You know we want to make sure her family is safe out there knowing their way around and all. I remember it was hard the first time for me luckily I had my parents thinking about everything."
Nodding at what she said, Arthur looked back at the young ambassador who met his eyes understandingly.
"Oh, you don't even need to ask, Malone would be happy to do it right?" Diverting his gaze to her he retaliated waiting for her to confirm.
"I, yeah... Excuse me... Certainly my queen I will be honored to help you majesties."
Not knowing why she was doing it the young woman smiled shyly at the woman who by what she was doing set them free she knew what was going on between them but yet help them. What was going on? Malone didn't know but was about to think it twice if that means Amara Killian will not be endangered anymore.
"Sure we will pay you for your help."
Waving his hand negatively at the Queen's words, Mr Barret put his left hand on his chest.
"No way, you don't need to do that, if I lend you one of my workers you don't have to pay them. Plus Ms Malone was means to take her vacation for a long time. We will find a way but she would get pay."
Not taking no for an answer Arthur brushed it off with the back of his hand his mind set on doing things right.
"I insist, don't say no. Right honey, that is certainly what Mr Minister minutes ago. There is always budget allows to our foreign workers."
"It is set then an amount of money will be put in you bank account for the disturbance Miss. Thanks you in the name of my country for you help."
Bowing at them both still not believing what was happening to her, Eva Malone did her best to not start jumping around overwhelmed with happiness.
To say that in the morning she cried her eyes out thinking it was the last day she would see Amara before her vacation that call her back in her country.
Since that day in her office they never met again the woman had a crazy scheduled you wouldn't think people had brain problem everyday, that is why she was sad early to no feel her gaze on her anymore. Now just like that there were hopes again for them all of that due to the enigmatic Queen.
"Dear how about we go talk to doctor killian to set you up with her." Nodding her head at her words attentive to not overdo it, Eva feeling like a kid ho just received the best gift ever, followed the Queen gaze soon finding Amara one since she wasn't that far from them.
"Doctor killian, you are having a good time I hope?" After making her way to her the Queen uttered in a clear and vibrant voice.
Bowing at her Queen presence at the same time as the two colleagues that were discussing with her, Killian rapidly side glanced at Eva before focusing on the glorious woman standing just before her.
The fact that she knew her name didn't passed unnoticed to the people around them who looked at her with envy, if only they knew she thought bracing herself at whatever she wanted from her, then smiled politely to the woman.
"I do my Queen, everything is good so far."
