Snorting to her friend and colleague sitting in the center of the living area of the huge tent, laughing at silly jokes the woman kept walking toward her private place while the rest all share an open space.
"That is why I will take tomorrow off. Mrs Alister will be absent too, that will leave Kamali. Guys behave I don't want to hear something went wrong we don't have time for that."
Snorting back at her words, one of her men made a salute pulling a face.
"Professor Blake I don't think anyone would act out around her. I really don't make any difference between her and the Excellency, same intelligence and not the least her guards are very intimidating. I said that I said nothing."
Everyone nodded at his words not uttering another words for that matter.
"I..." Very aware they could be listened to, the woman pursed her lips she wasn't about to jeopardize her chances.

Turning her back she got in her room took a bottle of water to swallow the pill she put in her mouth laying on her one place bed she dozed off instantly.
Sitting in her office chair a glass of red wine turning between her fingers one of her hand crossed on her chest, Katiandra listened to the conversation in the tent she put in the backyard of the museum, smiling at professor Blake words, she was already doing what she wanted her to do.
Taking a sip of the beverage she leaned her head to the back moving with the seat thinking about what she just did. She never used her position to her convenience, all the years she occupied that Queen position people bowed in front of her, never did she do something out of the line.
Thinking hard she knew she couldn't make a mistake, everything has to be done precisely, a sound signaled her someone was down knowing it wasn't Lorelei beforehand she verified the video to see her husband, not moving she pondered on not allowing him to come up but refrained herself activating the unlock code.
"What are you trying to do? Do you know in which position you will put me if it get out?"

"Look, Mars Hill is the administrator in there, he can do a favor to destroy the server of the three hospitals they will never know if her children was really list here. You just have to sign papers saying it was the case like that she won't have problem going back in her country, we can put that server problem on the fire that burned the place in the beginning of the years I hear that to redo it, it can take time. The renovations aren't finished yet and they haven't checked it."

Shaking her head in disbelief Katiandra leaned back in her chair, he was so him.
"What if it was your children? OH no! You do what? You blackmail me for you own daughter but what about your sons? She has two of them, I believe it is not a coincidence I don't believe in them and you neither. I can't brush a sign like that away. You're a religious person will you?"
Knowing exactly where to push she saw his face change to serious.
"You can refuse to sign the papers but if something happens to my sons... Believe me I will pray every single day for you to not see the end of the hole where you will find yourself in your own head." Playing tight on the matter, she saw his jaws clenched repeatedly before he stood up walking toward her.
"Stay were you are! I'm not having it here."
"YOU ARE MY WIFE!" He was about to force himself on her mouth when the elevator opened letting Lorelei entered her suprised gaze on them.
Moving behind her seat to have something between her and the rage man, she met Lorelei eyes rapidly pleading for her to let them alone, understanding the silent message she looked back at the man in the room doing a tight smile.
"Mr Alister good evening, Madam. I will not disturb you further I'm tired. Excuse me." Not letting him speak back she headed to the door closing it behind her she set the lock knowing Kate could came in but no one else.
Pointing to where she disappeared, Arthur had his mouth opened a brief moment then closed it his index finger tapping on his lips then he shrugged shaking his head from side to side.
"This is where you hide her? At least don't kill her with work, who has this kind of face while being the Queen assistant? You may end up being the one hurting her?"
Rolling her eyes at his words, Katiandra regained her poise walking back to her chair she showed him the other side of the desk.
"Miss Kamali loves what she does, that makes her stayed longer down. Don't see through it to try something. I told you about that matter, your choice. First off all and don't think you can come here to see me everyday it is not need. You know I already did that before. Now I really am tired, I have a long day tomorrow. Go find your mistresses wherever you have them."
Wandering his gaze to all the corner of his wife office then found himself humming his head tilted.
"If I didn't knew you I will say you have an affair... But guess what? I've prayed so hard for it to be... To, urfff ... This is just you, cold, dry and alone. Who can go so long without sex?.... Not diving in his provocative words Katiandra sat emotionless in front of him just staring blankly at him, showing emotions wasn't the best thing to do even if her heart beat a little faster than what she was showing.
"Then keep it like that. I told you what will happen if you don't let me be. By BE you know what I mean, so stop complaining and let me do what I vowed to do. I mean literally."
"You will end up dryer than ever trust me. AND alone." Sucking on his tongue, he stood up heading to the exit not looking at her.
"My dear you are stuck with me. That is what you signed for. TRUST ME." Mimicking his own words she Crossed her hands on the table counter-attacking, her eyes never leaving his as he was facing her from the inside of the elevator as the doors closed on his devious smile.
Breathing out relieved he didn't suspected something, she leaned back on her chair trying to put everything in order in her mind, she knew she couldn't let something destroy her plans or that will be put Lorelei in danger. Tired after brainstorming on what she has to do to make it the perfect plan, she finally stopped to her office phone ringing.
"Yes !?"
"Mrs Alister he is here."
"I will be there in one hour, make sure he is comfortable."
Hanging up she stood stretching her body as she headed to the condo, locking the door behind her she walked through the dark living room going directly to the bedroom where she saw light, entering she stopped on the doorway looking at the sleepy beauty before her eyes.
She didn't had the time to change and was laying across the bed totally passed out one of her arm on her eyes to shield the light something that prove she really was tired, Katiandra smiled at her while taking of her shoes she had pointed the fact that when she really was done, she always does that.
The days was a particular draining one, neither Katiandra nor Mrs Blake did any work she did it being a huge help, her brain was a database of all the ancients civilization notions they just had to verify and invariably she was correct gaining everyone respect, first they were like "she is her pet" mode but she shut them all off by her mesmerizing abilities.
Checking her toes the older woman saw they were a little sore for standing up all the day untill dark hours while others was chilling already.
After removing all her clothes she went to the bathroom prepared her shower came back to take her lightweight form in her arms to but her in the tub where she proceeded to wash her like a baby something she liked to do in a way she couldn't comprehend herself. She was her princess, her baby, her everything, looking at her face she smiled seeing her lips parted in an innocent way making her heart fluttered.
"Kate? Sorry, I so tired --just-" yoo tired to continue Lorelei just let herself be washed then her eyes still closed mumbled "je t'aime tellement."
Focused on her task the Queen would have missed the words if she didn't had her eyes on her face at that moment, it was barely a breath, caught off guard she waited on her to continue but nothing came, wiping the tear that escaped her eye her heart swelled with love, because yes she loved her already and knew it was the case far before they met.
She also knew Lorelei loved her too she would have guessed but many nights when she thought she was sleeping she said it to her in french she would always says "I love you so much it hurts, you are the Queen of my heart."
She didn't knew French was one of the language Katiandra know as her native one, she wasn't planning on telling her though it was good to hear her say those nice things to her, or when she complemented her body when they make love or just randomly she thought she was alone.
Drying her body she brought her back in the bedroom where she tucked her in, her PJs on, chuckling she remembered when she argued with her about sleeping naked.
"It is not against you but I will immediately wake up if it's not after we made love. Normally like that it just not possible my body function differently." And she tried to please her ending up with bags under her eyes the next morning.
"I love you so much love, I'll make things right for you. I promise."Kissing her forehead tenderly she walked out of the room determinate to do what she had to do.
Smiling Lorelei opened her eyes for a mere second rolling on her stomach to be more comfortable with the pillow snuggling her, it wasn't the first time her lover said those words, she even expressed them in every action she made toward her.
Addressing a prayer to God above to protect her in whatever she was about to do, she finally got back to sleep just happy to be here.
