Theresa, who was leaning against the door, was startled for a moment. She entered the room and looked at the bed where someone had indeed slept earlier. She turned her head away and didn’t dare look at Dolores because she felt guilty that she had told Matthew the password to her room.

He should have come here while they were out. However, he couldn’t understand why he had come here in the daytime just to sleep in Dolores’ bed. What was he really thinking in his mind?

He could sleep as he pleased, but why didn’t he tidy up the bed before he left?

He had left traces and she had to explain.

“You must have remembered by mistake. You left without tidying up.” Theresa calmly explained, “Isn’t it that a pregnant woman will be silly for three years? You’re at this stage now. You’ve remembered things wrong. Now I’m going to take the kids out to dinner.”

Theresa turned around and was about to leave after saying that.

“No, I distinctly remember tidying up the bed. It’s my habit and I don’t like the bedroom to be messy.” Dolores did memory carefully and still felt that she remembered correctly. She had tidied the bed before she left.

“The two children have left for preschool. I was with you all day. Oscar was the only one left who knew the password, can it be him? Obviously not, you just forgot it by mistake.” Theresa said confidently and it sounded like she really did.

Dolores stood by the bed and was hesitant, could it really be that she had forgotten it by mistake?

Theresa was right since they were the only ones who knew the password. Although Oscar didn’t seem serious at all, he was still very thoughtful and considerate. He wouldn’t have come in without greeting them since he knew all the women and children who lived here.

Besides, he wouldn’t have slept in their bed.

“All right, what do you want to eat? I’ll get it for you…rest for a while.”

“I want to eat radishes.”

I didn’t know why, but I suddenly wanted to eat them. When she was pregnant, she had no appetite and no particular craving. However, she suddenly wanted to eat radishes.

“The green, crunchy kind,” said Dolores.

Theresa was speechless.

“You’re having radishes for dinner?” Theresa held her forehead. She couldn’t be that stupid, could she?

“There’s nothing I particularly want to eat. I just suddenly want to eat this, but I don’t know if they sell it.” Dolores sat on the headboard as she realized she had tidied the bed.

“Is there anything they don’t sell now?” Theresa said, “Are fruits and vegetables still in season now?”

In this age of technological advances, food was common and easy to produce. With that kind of greenhouse and constant temperature technology, what couldn’t be grown?

Besides, the foods I wanted to eat were not rare.

“I’ll go to the supermarket later and take a look.” Theresa came out after she finished talking, “I’m going to eat with the kids.”

“Theresa, why don’t you ask if I’m going too?” she usually asked Dolores, but why didn’t she today?

Theresa was speechless.

It was too hard for her.

“Haven’t you been busy all day? I see you were very tired. Let me bring you lunch so you can get some more rest at home.” Theresa was patient as she racked her brain to explain.

She felt tired as the store had just opened and she had a lot to take care of. She got up next to the bed and walked over to Theresa. She hugged Theresa and said gratefully, “Theresa, thank you. If you wouldn’t help me during these two months, I wouldn’t know what to do anymore.”

Although Oscar could help her make exhibits and buy materials, but he didn’t know much about it and wasn’t familiar with the materials. So she needed Theresa to help her.

“Aiya, what kind of relationship do we have? You are so emotional, do you want me to cry in front of you?” Theresa patted her on the back, “Take good care of yourself, have a big fat kid. I’ll be the godmother.”

Dolores smiled, “What if it’s a daughter?”

“No, I’m sure it will be a son,” Theresa said convincingly, as if she had seen the child.

“Are you so sure?” Dolores looked at her and laughed, “Is it possible you have clairvoyance?”

“Isn’t it just that a pregnant woman with a round belly carries a daughter while a pointy belly carries a son? Look at your belly, it’s pointy.”

She had no scientific basis for this, as she had heard it from the elders in the camp. The so-called round belly was formed because there was excess flab on both sides of the waist. In contrast, the pointy belly had no excess flab around the waist and was more concentrated towards the center, so it was considered ‘pointy’.

Dolores knew that Theresa was livening up the mood. So she continued her theme and said, “So, what should I have looked like when I was pregnant with Amanda and Andrew?”

“Square.”

Theresa laughed after saying that.

Dolores was speechless.

She really was square but she didn’t know why.

Theresa’s phone rang again with a message alert at that moment. She pulled out her phone and looked at it. The content was Matthew asking her when she would be arriving.

The address had been sent to Theresa’s phone.

“Who sent you the message?” Dolores didn’t want to invade his privacy as she was just casually asking.

Theresa turned off her phone and shrugged in a relaxed manner, “Spam message. I’m going to take the kids out because I’m already hungry.”

“Go ahead, come back soon.” reminded Dolores. Actually, Dolores wanted her to come back earlier so she could rest earlier, as she too was tired during this period.

Theresa flashed an “OK” gesture. Then she turned and left.

Amanda was watching TV on the couch in the living room while Andrew was in his room. Theresa called to them, “Come on. Let’s go to dinner.”

The two children noticed and ran to her. They were with their shoes on in the hallway.

“What are we going to eat today?” asked Amanda, as she was worried about dinner, since she was a foodie.

Theresa simply replied, “I don’t know.” Amanda was speechless.

“Someone is going to pay and just order what they want to eat,” Theresa said easily as she didn’t have to pay anyway since a rich guy would be treating them.

Andrew was smart as he could hear the clues from Theresa’s words. However, he said nothing and followed Theresa obediently.

He only asked when they reached the first floor, “You know it too, don’t you?”.

Theresa was perplexed at his question, “What do I know?”.

“My father is inviting us to dinner, isn’t he? You know he’s here too, right?” said Andrew.

Theresa was stunned for a moment, but came to her senses quickly. Matthew must have seen the two boys, so they knew.

She nodded, “Yeah, I know.”

“Hey.” Amanda sighed.

As they got into the car, Theresa buckled her seatbelt, “What are you sighing about?”

“We all know, but only Mom doesn’t know.” She was worried about her father and mother.

“Children shouldn’t worry about adult matters.” Theresa rubbed Amanda’s nose and instructed, “I’ll drive and you guys sit quietly.”

“Understood, Renee always says this every time.”

Theresa drove the car and replied, “I just want to make sure they are safe.”

The two children were very quiet and obedient on the road. Soon they arrived at the address sent by Matthew.

It was a high-end western restaurant. Theresa parked the car. Then she opened the car door for the two children and exclaimed, “Looks like we can really feast today.”

Matthew had arranged this dinner for Armand and Theresa. His wife was important, but so was his friend.

Still, he had to help if he could.

Theresa brought the two children and found the private room. She raised her hand and knocked on the door.
