As he watched, he remembered the way Dolores Flores hugged and kissed him all over. Although she seemed to be out of his awareness, he adored how she was full of energy and alive, her senses all awake and overflowing with passion for him. Her true emotions were shown to him incisively and vividly, with nothing left unseen.
That bright glow she emitted made him happy.
He had only been with her for a few hours, but that was enough to fill the void in him during that period.
He was in such a good mood after meeting her that he had forgotten to contain his expression, his face was an open book. When Armand Bernie, who was on the other side of the office table, saw Matthew Nelson let out a rare smile, he immediately thought he was seeing things. He rubbed his eyes for confirmation, but the guy was still smiling.
âYou, did you pick up money off the floor or something?â
What could have made him so happy?
It was really a rare sight of him.
It looked like something on his phone was the cause of this, Armand then stretched his head to see what it was. Unfortunately, Matthew snapped out of his thoughts and blocked the screen of his phone before Armand had a chance to take a closer look. He regained his composure and gave him a heavy look.
Armand scratched his head and felt he was being petty.
âI just wanted to have a look, if you donât want to show it to me then so be it, why such a fierce look?â
Suddenly a call came in, it was the head of the PR department, âMr. Nelson, you were looking for me?â
Matthewâs gaze returned to the computer screen, âHave you seen the news?â The voice on the line affirmed his question.
âI took a look at it, the picture got out by accident and it doesnât look like anyone is behind this. Contact the media to stop the spread.â
After seeing the news, he specifically searched for the channel that started the spread and discovered it was from someoneâs personal account. At first there werenât many views and it was only discussed in the comments. It only became a sensation when a major media influencer noticed the news and reposted it.
As long as it wasnât an operation, the situation could be handled with ease.
âAlright, Mr. Nelson, Iâll sort this out.â
Matthew hummed in response and ended the call. He picked up his phone from the table and picked up his coat hanging over the chair as he stood up, then looked at Armand, âYouâll have to make another trip to the university. There is a studentâs Weibo called âI AM Ketchupâ, inform the university authorities to let him write a statement. Then, I will allow the public relations department and the media to broadcast it for clarification.â
He then left the office.
Armand was still puzzled and shouted, âWhat about the photo? How do I explain it?â
After all, the real person was at the top, how was this to be explained clearly then?
Matthew didnât turn his back on him, âLet the PR department handle this.â
The idea was to prevent the incident from getting out of hand by withdrawing the story from the media and have the matter clarified by the original poster. As for the legitimacy of the photo, it was a problem they could solve by giving a reasonable explanation.
Armand nodded, âOkay then, Iâll go back to the university.â
Matthew left without responding. He really needed a shower and a change of clothes, as the shirt had stuck to his body, it was an unpleasant feeling.
Armand glanced at Jasmine Burke, he couldnât send Jasmine back to college, that would only be annoying for her.
As he was in the dilemma of deciding what to do about Jasmine, the phone in his pocket rang, it was Boyce Shawn calling. He looked at the callerâs description and answered immediately, he spoke first, âHow are you?â
âI just got back to the office, Iâm meeting with the leader in a little while, have you seen Jasmine, how is she?â
Armand looked back at Jasmine, who remained silent, and thought to himself, âThese two sure have chemistry, the first thing they did was ask about each other.
âSheâs fine and sheâs here with me. Youâd better worry more about yourself, donât go throwing your work away. A boring person like you will never be able to survive at work.â Armand purposely called her that in front of Jasmine. If this didnât go over well, things wouldnât go as far as him getting fired, but he would get punished.
âBoyce, Officer Miller will see you in his office now.â
Armand could hear a voice over the phone line, which was quickly followed by Boyceâs voice, âI have some business to discuss, Iâll get back to you later.â He hung up before Armand had a chance to say anything.
Jasmine asked, âWas that Boyce from earlier?â
Armand nodded, âI guess heâs being given a conference right now.â
âCan you tell me what office heâs in? I want to go see him.â Jasmine knew it wasnât an appropriate time to meet with him, but she wasnât going to make a fuss. âIâll wait outside, I wonât show my face to cause him trouble.â
Armand stared at her for two seconds and agreed, âOkay, Iâll give you a ride.â
He had planned his route, first he would send Jasmine and let Boyceâs subordinates take care of the rest, then he would return to the university.
He wanted to create an opportunity for Boyce and Jasmine to spend time and interact with each other, that was the reason he sent her.
Although their intimate photos were shared everywhere, Armand knew in his gut that Boyceâs character was such that even if he had feelings for Jasmine, he would never have kissed her in public.
If you looked at it from one angle, it looked like Jasmine was the one going for him.
He raised his eyes and looked at Jasmine, he never would have expected her to be so open.
After leaving Matthewâs office, he met with Abbott Baron. He intended to borrow Abbottâs car, since he didnât drive his own, taking a cab was a bit awkward and sometimes he had to wait.
Abbott handed her the keys to his car, he wasnât planning to go anywhere that day.
He then drove Jasmine to the municipal office. He had called Boyceâs subordinate as they drove there to wait at the main entrance.
When they arrived, Jasmine was left in the care of Boyceâs people, and he left for the university.
Even if Armand did not need to identify who Jasmine was, Boyceâs subordinates could already tell it was the girl, since everyone already knew her.
At the time, when the news broke, everyone who worked for Boyce would never believe it was true.
However, when the girl appeared before them in the flesh, she led them to believe that Boyce had indeed found a woman, and that it was a âyoung ladyâ.
âFollow me inside,â one of Boyceâs people, Todd, told Jasmine.
Jasmine stood in place and wondered, âWould my appearance cause him any trouble?â.
She had become wary since the incident occurred.
Todd didnât know how to sugarcoat his words and answered directly, âYouâve caused enough trouble.â
Jasmine pursed her lips.
Todd suddenly realized that perhaps he had been too direct and what he had said made her uncomfortable, so he explained, âIâm an uneducated person, I donât really know how to talk to people, so donât worry about it.â
âItâs nothing,â Jasmine replied.
âIâll take you to Boyceâs office and you can wait for him there.â Todd led the way after finishing his sentence. He was afraid of saying the wrong thing again, so he kept quiet.
As they were on their way to Boyceâs office, Jasmine tried to find out more about how Boyce by Todd: âHow is Boyce now?â
âHeâs at the officerâs house,â Todd mentioned.
âWill the officer do anything to him?â asked Jasmine once again.
Todd thought for a moment, âI donât know exactly how theyâll deal with this, but heâll definitely be punished. With this incident about his identity going around, heâs caused a bad influence.â
âCan you take me before the officer? This was all my fault to begin with, it has nothing to do with Boyce,â Jasmine expressed.
Todd turned his head toward her and considered for a moment, âThat should be fine.â
He thought that since Jasmine was with Boyce at the time, it would be best if they cleared things up with the officer together.
At first they headed for Boyceâs office, but Todd changed paths and led Jasmine to the officerâs office.
As she was about to knock on the officerâs door when they arrived, the sound of a glass being thrown was heard from inside. Todd paused in his actions, not daring to make any further advances as this didnât seem like a light matter for the officer, not to the point of throwing something.
If they went in at that point, wouldnât he be charging directly at a weapon that was about to fire?
They figured Boyce must have been being scolded heavily at the time.
Jasmine, who was near the door, had also heard the noise, went over and knocked on the door.
It was her mistake, she couldnât stand that Boyce had taken the blame for her.
Todd looked her way in disbelief, he didnât think she had stepped forward, âDidnât you hear what just happened inside?â
âI heard it, and thatâs why I knocked on the door.â Jasmine gripped her hands tightly and sounded determined.
She may have been terrified, but she still felt like explaining the truth to Boyceâs superiors.
âCome in.â
A voice came from inside the room, by now, not even Todd could stop her in time.
