Dolores reached her limit!
âGet out!â
Matthew tilted his head up to look at her, âAre you mad?â Dolores glared at him.
He smiled, âHelp me and I want to go to the bathroom too.â Dolores was speechless.
How could he be so brazen?
Dolores deliberately grabbed her belly, âYouâre driving me crazy on purpose, arenât you?â.
Matthew immediately changed his unruly attitude and asked earnestly, âAre you uncomfortable?â
Dolores lowered her voice and looked weak and uncomfortable, âWell, I donât feel good. Itâs all your fault. If you keep doing this, Iâm going to be very angry.â
Knowing that she had thin skin, Matthew did not continue to flirt with her. He walked out of the bathroom and closed the door. He said uneasily, âIâll wait for you at the door. You can call me whenever you need to.â Dolores nodded.
After Matthew closed the door, the relaxation on his face disappeared. In front of Dolores, his mood was perfectly disguised as he didnât want her to think too much.
He then pulled out his cell phone to send a message to Boyce. He asked Boyce to take Jessica to the hospital. Therefore, it was in her best interest to visit and take care of Jessica. Now Dolores couldnât get out of bed, and he wouldnât meet her either.
He was sure Dolores wouldnât find out.
Besides, this was the best hospital in the country. If Jessica was sent to other hospitals, he would not be at ease.
Soon the message was answered. Boyce sent the word âOK.â
After Dolores washed her hands, she went to the door and opened it, just to see Matthew checking his cell phone.
âWhat are you looking at?â Dolores rolled her eyes at her phone.
Matthew put his phone away and said calmly, âI read the news.â
Dolores said suspiciously, âReally?â
Matthew handed her the phone and smiled, âOr do you check to see if there are any women on it?â
Dolores glared at him, âDo whatever you want.â
Knowing she wouldnât look, Matthew deliberately held the phone out to her, âReally? There might be some pretty girls in it. The doctor said we canât have sex for three months. Iâm afraid I canât help it.â Dolores was speechless.
âIf you get a woman, Iâll get a manâ¦â
âHow dare you!â
Before Dolores could finish her words, she was interrupted by Matthewâs cold voice.
Matthew lifted her up and pretended to be fierce, âIf you dare to get a man, Iâll break your leg.â
Dolores muttered, âIt was you who wanted to find a woman first.â
Her voice was unclear to Matthew. When he put her on the bed, he asked, âWhat did you say?â.
Dolores immediately changed her mind, âI said I donât dare.â
Matthew smiled and kissed her cheek, âYouâre a lovely girl. Youâre pregnant. Where could you find a man? Besides, where could you find a good man like me?â.
Dolores rolled her eyes to herself. She thought that man was so domineering and had double standards.
Matthew looked at the time. It was almost six oâclock, âAre you hungry?â
Dolores lay back on the bed and shifted, looking for a comfortable position, âWill you eat here?â
Matthew thought for a moment, âHmm.â
âYes, I will,â Dolores said. She feared Matthew would leave later and go out without eating. In the morning, he would answer the phone or read messages, which showed how busy he was.
Matthew turned to open the door and set out to call Coral. When he opened the door, Coral grabbed the lunch box and was about to knock on the door.
She got up at three in the morning and went back to preparing and delivering the food.
âI brought you food and clothes.â
Coral smiled, carrying a lunch box in one hand and a paper bag of clothes in another.
The clothes Matthew was wearing yesterday were the same as the day before yesterday, and he hadnât changed. When had he ever worn such wrinkled clothes before?
âThereâs hot water in the bathroom. Take a bath,â Dolores said. She also realized that Matthew hadnât rested well in the last two days, or even groomed himself properly.
Matthew leaned over to let Coral in. He took the bag of clothes from Coralâs hand and turned to go into the bathroom. Suddenly, he stopped and looked at Dolores, âYou eat first. Donât wait for me.â
Dolores had said she was hungry, and he feared she was suffering from hunger.
âI know.â Dolores waved her hand.
Coral put the food on the table and asked Dolores, âDo you want to eat now?â
Dolores shook her head, âLetâs wait.â
Coral smiled, and thought that they were becoming more and more like a couple, and that they both considered each other. She excused herself by saying, âIâm going to find out when the doctor will make the rounds.â
Then he left the room, leaving the space for Matthew and Dolores.
Dolores looked at the closed door and laughed. The doctor had a set time to make rounds. Therefore, there was no need to check. Obviously, it was an excuse for Coral to leave. I knew Coral intended to leave time for her and Matthew.
The room was very large, and there was a shower in the bathroom, a couch by the window, a closet, and a table by the wall. Life was very comfortable, but there was a strong smell of disinfectant.
Fortunately, the smell did not repulse him.
After bathing, Matthew came out with a white towel on his body. Bare upper body naked, he wiped his hair as he walked over.
Dolores looked at him, âWhy donât you put some clothes on?â. You just got out. This was a hospital, not a house.
Matthew had heard Coral was out, so he didnât dress well inside.
Also, this wasnât a home, and the bathroom was separate wet and dry.
The bathroom here was too small to be convenient.
Matthew went to close the door and looked at her, âDid you see anything?â
Dolores knew he was going to talk dirty again and glared at him, âCheeky.â
Matthew smiled slightly, mixed with a little hoarseness, âIf I had any sense of shame, how could you be pregnant?â
Dolores was speechless.
âYouâve seen me.â Matthew pulled the bath towel in front of her and put his clothes on in front of Dolores without any shyness.
Dolores knew she could never win and remained silent, her face buried in her hands.
A few minutes later, Matthew, buttoned up his suit and said, âDonât cover up. Put it on.â Dolores moved her hands away and he didnât fool her.
Matthew took Coralâs food out and put it on the table on the bed.
There was shrimp porridge and vegetable dumplings, fried eggs and broccoli, as well as some side dishes.
They were very light, with no garnishes, and just kept the flavor of the food itself.
They were to Doloresâ taste, especially the porridge, which was delicious.
She quickly finished a bowl of porridge. Matthew passed her his, âHave some more.â
Coral wasnât preparing the food just for Matthew. She was just copying Doloresâ recipe to make another one. Last night he came back very late, and he would surely have breakfast with Dolores in the morning, so she prepared two meals like Doloresâ recipe.
Dolores looked at him and said, âItâs delicious, would you like it?â
âI donât like it.â He popped a mouthful of broccoli into his mouth.
Dolores smiled. After eating half the porridge Matthew had passed her, she couldnât eat much. As delicious as it was, she couldnât eat two bowls.
She passed the rest to Matthew, âI canât finish it.â
Matthew looked at the porridge she had eaten in the bowl, eyebrows slightly raised.
âYou donât like it?â
