Dolores unconsciously asked, “What kind of identity?”

“It’s a secret,” Samuel said mysteriously.

Dolores didn’t take it to heart. Samuel was like a friend of that professor, and the two of them had a lot of secrets between them. Even though her teacher was not very reliable, she really cared about Samuel.

“Mommy, tonight, can you sleep with me? Samuel threw his arms around her neck and said coquettishly.

Dolores said, “Of course you can.”

“So you’re going to be jealous?” Samuel blinked and spoke.

Dolores frowned, “Who’s going to get jealous?”

“Dad.” Samuel was talking about Matthew. He couldn’t do it as fluently as Simona.

Matthew hadn’t been around since he was a child, so he had become sensitive.

Therefore, Samuel had not yet gotten used to calling Matthew his dad all of a sudden.

Dolores held her son’s face and squeezed it. His delicate little face changed shape between her palms, “You are my son. How dare you have a say in whether I want to cuddle my own son to sleep?”

“Hehe…”

Samuel leaned back in Dolores’ arms and laughed furtively.

In the evening, after dinner, when Simona heard that Dolores was going to sleep with Samuel, she disagreed and insisted that she wanted to sleep with them too.

She hugged Dolores’ legs tightly and said petulantly, “Mommy, I don’t care. I want to sleep with you too. You shouldn’t be partial and sleep only with Samuel.

Dolores bent down, picked up her daughter and said, “Okay, Mommy will sleep with both of us tonight.”

The little girl giggled happily and spoke in aggravation, “Mommy, it’s been a long time since you’ve held me to sleep and told me bedtime stories. Daddy has been hogging you for too long.”

Victoria came out of the kitchen with cut fruit and listened to what Simona had said.

Victoria then said resentfully, “Haven’t I told you bedtime stories before?”.

The little girl was very clear about it, “Your bedtime stories and mommy’s are two different things.”

Victoria was kind to her, so she was willing to go along. However, Simona had a deeper feeling for Dolores, as she was the one who told Simona bedtime stories every day since she was a little girl.

From the bottom of her heart, Simona was still closer to Dolores.

“How is that different?” Victoria intentionally teased her.

Of course, she knew that a little girl’s love for her mother was irreplaceable.

The girl pouted her lips and thought for a long time. “Mommy gave birth to me, you didn’t give birth to me.”

At that moment, Matthew entered the room and listened to what his daughter had said. A smile broke out on his face.

“Daddy.” The little girl kicked her little feet in the air, wanting to get down. Dolores bent down and set her on the floor. Once the little girl’s feet touched the ground, she ran to Matthew, screaming excitedly.

Matthew had a suit jacket over his shoulders. Dolores reached over, grabbed the jacket and hung it on the hanger.

She bent down and hugged her daughter who was running toward him. He tried to touch her face, but on second thought, he didn’t because he had just returned from outside and had not yet washed his hands.

“Daddy, mommy said she’s going to hug me and Samuel to sleep.” Said the little girl smugly.

Matthew raised his eyebrows and looked up at Dolores. She acted like she didn’t see him, walked over to the couch, sat down and ate the cut fruit.

Matthew left his daughter on the couch and went to wash his hands.

When he came out, Victoria asked him fondly, “Have you had your supper yet?” He didn’t look at her, but responded with a slight nod.

However, Victoria was quite pleased with how they were getting along. Every time she asked him, and he answered, it was fine now, unlike before, he didn’t answer at all.

She took off her apron and went into her study.

Leaving the space for them.

Matthew sat down at the table, picked up his daughter and placed her on his lap. He circled his fingers through the messy hair around her ears and said, “Just now, who did you say gave birth to you?”

The little girl answered without hesitation, “Mama gave birth to me.”

“So, did you know that your mother couldn’t give birth to you alone?”.

Simona blinked and didn’t understand what she meant. She cocked her head to the side and thought about it, but still didn’t understand. She was born of mama alone, wasn’t she?

“I was born of mom alone.” Simona emphasized, “Mommy gave birth to me alone.”

“If you don’t believe me, you can go ask your mommy. Without me, how was she going to give birth to you?”. An uninhibited smile appeared between his eyebrows.

Dolores was at his side. Hearing what he said, she almost spat out the strawberries in her mouth.

Naturally, the girl would not have understood what he meant. She naively asked Dolores: “Mom, I was born only from you, wasn’t I? This has nothing to do with daddy, does it?”.

Dolores shot a glance at Matthew, this man?

She lifted her daughter up and said, “Let Mommy take you to the shower.” Matthew got up too and followed them.

Dolores looked back, “I’m going to take our daughter to the shower, why are you following us?”.

“I’ll wait by the door. When you’re done showering her, you can help me shower too.” Dolores was speechless.

‘Can you not be so cheeky!’

The words almost escaped her mouth.

Matthew walked over to her, kissed her on the face, turned and walked up the stairs.

Dolores was speechless again.

Simona blinked, feeling a little disgruntled. Dad kissed Mom, why didn’t he kiss her too?

Samuel had already entered the bedroom after dinner and had already showered. He was wearing silk-textured gray pajamas and was sitting cross-legged on the bed, head down solving mathematical questions on his tablet.

Hearing the noises, he lifted his head and saw Dolores holding Simona in her arms and let out a sigh as if he expected his little sister to definitely bother Dolores once she knew Samuel was going to sleep with Dolores.

“Aren’t you happy with me?” Simona lifted her head.

Samuel gave her a big, warm smile and said, “Of course not, how could I not welcome my own sister?”

The little girl smiled and hugged Dolores, “Mommy, let’s take a shower.” Samuel shook his head, thinking about when this little girl would grow up.

Dolores saw him and emphasized, “She’s your sister, but she’s also a child.” Simona was not childish, it was just that Samuel was precocious.

Dolores took Simona into the bathroom and turned on and let the hot water run in the bathtub. When she felt the water temperature was just right, she turned around to undress her daughter. Who knew, Simona was already undressed, sitting on the little stool.

Simona looked beautiful and tender like a little porcelain doll. Dolores lifted her up and put her in the bathtub. The little girl swam in the tub: “Mommy, I can swim in here.”

Dolores pulled her daughter, “Don’t move, I’m going to wash your hair.”

The little girl was fidgeting, “Mommy, come take a shower with me.”

“I’ll shower when I’m done showering you,” Dolores said.

The little girl liked to play in the water, and the hot water was also comfortable. She fidgeted restlessly in the tub, splashing water everywhere.

Dolores’s body was soaking wet after showering Simona.

She wrapped her daughter in a towel, carried her to a dry area and put on her pajamas. The large bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, which was very comfortable.

Simona and Samuel’s pajamas were handmade by Dolores. They were comfortable clothes, but the only difference was the colors. Simona’s pajamas were a goose yellow color, which matched her skin color, and she looked very cute in them.

Dolores dried her daughter’s hair, put on some slippers and let her play outside.

It was her turn to take a shower. Her whole body was wet and, because of her daughter’s restlessness in the bathroom, she was sweating too. She would feel uncomfortable if she didn’t shower.

She took off her clothes and got into the bathtub. Then, she suddenly realized that she had no pajamas in the downstairs bathroom.
