“Isn’t this the mother of the kindergarten girl?” said Dolores as her eyes widened.

“Did she record this video and post it?” said Dolores as she tilted her head to look at Matthew.

“Don’t you understand your son?” Matthew couldn’t deny it.

Dolores was dumbfounded. Her son really was capable of it.

“Will it cause difficulties since the other party is from a reputable family?” she said as she looked at Matthew with some anxiety.

“There is nothing to worry about if he has done nothing wrong,” Matthew said nonchalantly.

If the vice mayor was determined to be clean and honest, then he would have no fear of being investigated. If he didn’t hesitate to do something illegal, then he deserved to be punished.

He believed that his son had done the right thing as he analyzed what had happened.

However, he could verify by seeing the dominant presence of the woman in the video.

The vice-mayor’s wife, as far as he knew, was not that young, let alone such a young girl.

Maybe…

Dolores sighed as she couldn’t understand why her son was such a concern.

She believed children should be simple.

He was only 6, but he was sophisticated like an adult, and she wasn’t sure if this was good or bad.

“Are you afraid?” said Matthew as he pinched his little nose.

Dolores looked at him coldly as she didn’t want her son to get into any trouble.

At that moment, she realized who her son had taken an example from.

Wasn’t it, however, that man in front of her?

They were both very intriguing.

“Did you just cheat on Charles?” Dolores was quite sure of it, but still she asked.

Her eyes seemed calm and steady, but also a little excited, “Are you interrogating me?”

“I’m just asking, not interrogating,” Dolores spoke. The reality was that it was definitely her uncle who was wrong first….

“Are you still appealing to him?” Matthew cut her off.

Dolores remained silent as she felt that anything she said would be misinterpreted by him.

“I have nothing to do with him, why can you constantly be so petty when you talk?” Dolores was irritated as she disliked being suspected.

She often hinted that way, which made others uncomfortable.

Matthew leaned back a little and grabbed her chin with his fingertips as he rubbed back and forth across the skin of her chin. “You know I don’t like you dating him, and yet you have to bring it up, is that a test of my patience?” Dolores was speechless.

She closed her lips.

This man…

Buzz…

Matthew’s phone was ringing over the table at that moment.

When he turned around, he noticed that the Harris Family was on the caller ID.

Dolores also saw it at the same moment.

They looked into each other’s eyes, Matthew let go of her and picked up the phone.

Soon Marina’s voice was heard through the phone, “Are you available, Matthew? Your uncle wants to see you.”

Matthew responded with a ‘Hpmh’ as he looked up at Dolores.

Jeffery had been in a car accident and was still injured, so he needed to visit him.

“Okay, I’ll fix you dinner,” Marina stated before hanging up the phone.

“Come with me,” Matthew said as he hung up the phone and looked at Dolores.

“Shall we go with the Harris Family?” tried to ask Dolores.

Matthew nodded his head.

Dolores paused, but Matthew didn’t wait for her to answer as he picked up her suit and pulled her toward the door.

“We’re in business,” Dolores struggled.

Matthew didn’t care-what was wrong with being in the company? Was it illegal to hold his wife’s hand here?

As planned, Matthew led her out of the office. All the staff still working looked at them and found them odd.

As Matthew was still not legally married.

Before that, he was secretly married to Dolores and there were only a few people who knew about it. Before that, there was a person named Helen White, then came Sampson Herbert who was from the Herbert Family. Everyone assumed they would be together, and as a result, they just broke up for no reason.

None of them had ever witnessed Matthew holding a lady’s hand, with the exception of Helen’s.

It was normal for everyone to be curious because to them, Matthew was still a bachelor, but now out of nowhere he had a girlfriend, so they all wondered about the woman Matthew had taken.

They all wondered if Matthew was attracted to her beauty or her talent.

Dolores, who was not used to so much attention, ducked her head. In her mind, she complained about Matthew exposing her. She kept being watched by others which made her uncomfortable.

She was so distracted that she didn’t notice that Matthew had stopped and bumped her back, which was painful. Matthew turned around and looked at her as she covered her sore head.

She blinked as her thick, curly eyelashes fluttered and, before she could ask why, he stopped. He scooped her up in his arms, in front of the entire upper office staff.

Dolores fidgeted and raised her eyes to him. The overhead lights were flickering, and Matthew was so tall he seemed to merge into a line with the light. He was so noble and unruly, “That’s my wife,” Matthew said.

Boom!

It was mind-boggling to Dolores.

“Mr. Nelson, when did you get married?” one brave man asked as the crowd began to gossip.

Why wasn’t there any information about this?

“Yes. We haven’t received any wedding invitations either.”

“It’s too well hidden.” Everyone grumbled.

“My wife is shy and doesn’t like to be talked about. We’ll have a late wedding ceremony” Matthew said.

Abbott Baron stepped out of the elevator and saw Matthew hugging Dolores. Then he stopped for a second as she was about to wave. Matthew walked past him and entered the elevator.

“Mr. Baron.”

“Did you know that Mr. Nelson got married?” they all asked.

Huh?

Abbott turned his head to see what Matthew was going to say. But the elevator was closed and he had already stepped out.

The elevator had been closed for quite a while.

“Mr. Baron, please tell us.” Everyone pressed him. He was usually the closest to Matthew and the one who knew the most about him.

Abbott froze in his seat, could he tell?

“Is it true, Mr. Baron, that the girl Mr. Nelson mentioned was your wife?”

‘Girl?’

Abbott blinked as he looked at Dolores. She might have looked young, but she was actually 25 years old and had a son who was already 6 years old.

“What are you thinking, Mr. Baron? Answer us, please, is it true that Mr. Nelson is married?”

“Yes, Mr. Nelson is already married. The young lady is his wife,” Abbott said with a shake of his head.

He was not startled since Matthew had admitted it as well.

“How come we didn’t hear any news about it when it happened?”

“The boss got married, but he doesn’t have to inform you all,” Abbott said as he frowned.

“Go to work and do what you have to do.” Abbott began to give instructions.

Some didn’t want to give up, “What reputable family is Miss Nelson from? Why haven’t I heard of her before?”

“What, why does she have to be from a reputable family to marry Mr. Nelson?” said Abbott as he raised his eyebrows.
