When she asked the question, Armand’s hand suddenly tightened, he was afraid of hearing bad news.

Theresa’s hand felt a little sore from the squeeze, but she didn’t speak to remind him, as she knew Armand was very nervous at the moment.

“The current situation is that, due to the patient’s age, she has lost consciousness due to the shock, but it is not life-threatening. She has some bruises on her body, which have been treated, so nothing too serious.”

Armand was so excited he was bewildered, he didn’t know how to describe his mood. He hugged Theresa’s face and kissed her lips tightly, smiling like a child, “My grandmother is fine.”

Theresa had never seen him like this. He was like a child who had not yet grown up.

“Don’t be in such a hurry to be happy first. She’s in her old age, so you have to keep her from being mentally stimulated.” The nurse interrupted coldly.

Only then did Armand realize that he had just lost his manners. He coughed slightly and said yes earnestly.

The nurse raised her eyes to look at him, her voice still very cold: “She can’t be stimulated again in the future. At that age, it’s easy for her to ‘grow out of it’, she may not be able to wake up next time. Being the younger generation, you should treat her kindly.”

Armand nodded with difficulty, “I understand.”

“Wait here, the patient will be out soon.” After saying this, the nurse turned and left.

Armand was calmer this time, he stood at the door and waited. Soon after, the door to the examination room opened and Mrs. Leslie was pushed out. She was awake. Seeing her grandson, she reached out her hand and Armand bent down to take it and touched her forehead. Standing close, Armand discovered only that she had a slap mark on her face.

He was in too much of a hurry to see the palm print on her face as he sent her to the hospital.

Armand’s face instantly sank, Sampson Herbert that bastard!

Now he knew why the nurse was so indifferent. The nurse must have thought he was abusing her.

Armand kissed the back of Mistress Leslie’s hand, “It’s all right now, I’m here.”

“Boy, who was that?” Mistress Leslie seemed to have realized now, that Armand seemed to know the person who had kidnapped her.

“Just some crazy guy, and he’s been taken by the police. Let’s not think about it, okay, you need to pull yourself together.” Armand cajoled Mrs. Leslie.

Theresa helped the medical staff push Mrs. Leslie into the ward. She did not need to be hospitalized, but she was to spend the night for observation at the hospital and could be released tomorrow.

After arriving at the ward, Armand carried Mrs. Leslie to the hospital bed and Theresa helped the medical staff get the gurney out, “Thank you.”

“No worries.” The medical staff smiled at Theresa and said.

Then she closed the door, turned around and walked in.

“Theresa, come. Come.” Mrs. Leslie waved her hand to Theresa and Theresa came over.

Mrs. Leslie took her hand and placed it in Armand’s palm, “The only reliable thing that Armand has done since he grew up is marry you.” Theresa was embarrassed and lowered her head.

Armand took Theresa’s hand, “Grandma, what, now that you have a granddaughter-in-law, you don’t want your grandson anymore?”

“What do I need you for, all you do is make me angry.” Mrs. Leslie pretended to be angry.

Armand immediately relented, “From now on I won’t make you angry.”

The nurse had said so, Mistress Leslie was too old to be stimulated, so he had to follow her wishes.

“I’m hungry.” Mistress Leslie said suddenly.

“I’m going to buy you something.” Armand stood up, “What do you want to eat?”.

Mistress Leslie winked at him, but Armand didn’t catch the intention of her eye gesture and asked, “Why are your eyes twitching, is it uncomfortable?”. Madame Leslie was speechless.

She rolled her eyes and thought to herself, was this child stupid, how had he missed the sign?

Theresa, on the other hand, had noticed. Mistress Leslie was trying to dismiss her with an excuse, so she took the initiative and said, “I’m going to buy it. What do you want to eat Grandma?”

“Bring me some porridge.” Said Mrs. Leslie.

“Is there anything else?” asked Theresa again.

Mrs. Leslie waved her hand, “No.”

“Then I’ll go buy it, Armand take good care of Grandma.”

Theresa headed for the door, and only then did Armand understand Mistress Leslie’s intention. He looked at her, then followed Theresa out, and explained, “Maybe because my grandmother is ill and wanted to say a few words to me in secret, I hope you don’t mind.”

Theresa smiled, she could see that Armand and Mistress Leslie had a very good relationship, and she understood.

“I don’t mind. Go inside, I’ll go get something to eat, what do you want to eat? We’ll buy it together.” Armand had also been busy for most of the night, assuming he should be hungry by now.

“I want to eat spring rolls.” Armand said directly what he wanted without being too polite.

Theresa said yes.

“You should come in, Grandma is alone and might get anxious about waiting.” Theresa waved her hand and started to walk away.

Armand looked back at her and the corners of his lips curved unconsciously.

She was very understanding.

Armand turned to walk back into the room and closed the door.

He walked over to the bed and sat down, “What do you mean you have to throw her out? Good thing she has a good temper and doesn’t mind. If it were someone else who had a bad temper, she’d be angry.” Mistress Leslie smiled, “Are you trying to get justice for your wife?”

“No, no.” Armand hastily waved his hands, “I can’t forget the kindness of Grandma’s upbringing even after having a wife.”

Madame Leslie sighed, “I’m old.”

“Grandma is not old.” Armand bowed and made nice in front of her.

Madame Leslie was amused, but her smile quickly sank and was replaced by a straight face. “I think Theresa is very understanding and reasonable. She’s also beautiful, so treat her well.”

“I know, you’ve said that several times already.” Armand was not being impatient, but rather reminding her.

Madame Leslie sighed again, “You lost your parents when you were a few years old, and I was the one who raised you with difficulty…”

Talking about the things of the past, Armand’s half-hearted attitude had disappeared, it was as if he had become a different person.

“Don’t blame your mother anymore…”

“Why shouldn’t I blame her!” Armand’s eyes were red. Even after so many years, she had never let him go.

Theresa was on her way to buy things when she realized she didn’t have any money with her. She left in such a hurry that she didn’t bring the phone or the money. When she went back to ask Armand for money, she overheard their conversation on the other side of the door.

“I’d have a father, if it wasn’t for her. She only cared about her own pleasure.” Armand was getting more and more nervous as he talked. After a while, he also felt he shouldn’t be like this. It had been a long time and he should let go, but he couldn’t suppress the rage inside him.

Mrs. Leslie’s clouded eyes were full of tears, her hand holding Armand trembled, “It’s Grandma’s fault. I shouldn’t have mentioned things in the past.”

“What does this have to do with you?” Armand smiled bitterly. Say unfortunate, then it was his life that was unfortunate for having a shameless mother, where even his father was trapped inside as well.

Theresa froze for a moment, what did they mean by that?

Armand’s parents?

But then she thought it was rude of her to eavesdrop, so she raised her hand and knocked on the door.

Armand took a breath to calm himself, then got up and went to open the door.

The door opened, and seeing that it was Theresa, Armand said, “You’re so quick to buy things…”

However, his eyes looked down only to find that her hands were empty and she was carrying nothing.

His eyebrows couldn’t help but furrow.
