“What are they doing?” Armand let out a meaningful smile. Matthew could sense that the woman in his arms now had tense muscles. It felt like she was hugging a huge rock. He knew she was easily embarrassed, so he ignored him and walked into the house.

“When had you two become so intimate?” Armand’s eyes widened. Theresa glanced at him. Without a word, she went inside as well. Armand quickly followed her. “Theresa…”

“Stop it!” Theresa growled. “Could you be a little more mature and give me more of a sense of security?”

“Sure.” Armand hugged her. “Tell me anything you’re not happy with and I’ll change it.”

Theresa was a little startled to see his serious look. “Are you serious?”

“Yes,” Armand said without hesitation. He looked at her with an extremely solemn look.

“Let’s get married and try it out. Maybe we’ll be good together.”

Theresa was silent and just stared at him. Then she spoke at length, “Sure, we can try.” Armand smiled and hugged her even tighter.

The chief who promised to deliver the pearl to Dolores handed him the pearl as she had promised that night. There were two types of pearls, one was the size of a normal bean and the other was the size of a mung bean. There were a total of 800 pearls and each pearl was round, smooth and shiny.

Although the boss wanted to make money from them, the goods were really nice. Dolores paid the money for the pearls after receiving them and also gave the boss some delivery charges. Since she was honest, she was willing to pay more.

After taking the pearls to her room, she set to sewing, as she did not have much time left. The lace she bought was used to make the veil, and the pearls were to be sewn on the edge. This was because, according to her design, the veil was six meters long and would drag on the floor. The reason she adorned the border with pearls was for its attractiveness, and also to avoid marring the veil by dragging it along the floor.

After dinner, Matthew played with the children while she continued sewing. When the children were asleep and he finished showering, she was still sewing on the couch. Matthew frowned. “I’ll pay, you can buy whatever you want for her.” It was too exhausting to sew all the hundreds of pearls on top. Dolores shook her head. “I did it for sincerity, not money.”

Not to mention that that was her job, so she didn’t feel tired at all. As long as she was free, she would make clothes for her customers on her own. She could only entrust the sewing to the skilled workers when she was sometimes busy.

Matthew came over to her and wanted to sit next to her, but when he bent down and sat down, Dolores grabbed his arm. Dolores was exceptionally cautious when she worked and there was not a smile on her face when she spoke. “You can’t sit here, go sleep with the children.” Matthew was speechless.

Looking at Dolores’ face, Matthew swallowed the words. He could only climb into bed, lie down and hug his daughter. He secretly thought he must be the unluckiest husband in the world. They had two children, and he had only slept with his wife once to date, even he had done so under a state of extreme confusion, and his memory was very fuzzy.

Looking up and seeing Matthew so calm, Dolores was finally able to concentrate on her task. The night was getting late and Dolores had no idea when she had fallen asleep. She could feel someone touching her when she was groggy, but she was too tired to open her eyes. Soon she felt that she was lying on the huge, fluffy bed. She shifted a little and continued sleeping with a more comfortable posture.

Everyone was busy these two days. Boyce and Armand were busy with the wedding preparations while Dolores was making the wedding dress in her room. In addition to taking care of the work, Matthew was staying with the children. The two days were short and the time passed quickly.

The wedding day was not long in coming. It was very cold that day, luckily the wedding was held indoors. Armand seemed to have looked for a wedding planner. The hall was decorated in a dreamy way and purple was the main theme. Purple was a mysterious color and the color made the wedding seem sacred and dignified.

In the break room, Dolores put Theresa in the wedding dress she had made herself. “I have nothing to give you but this wedding dress, it will be my wedding gift to you.”

Looking at the veil she put on her, Theresa’s eyes became a little teary. “You sure haven’t slept after sewing so many pearls on it in such a short time.” Dolores looked up and saw her watery eyes. She quickly grabbed two napkins to wipe away her tears. “Today is your big day, don’t cry, you’ll ruin your makeup.”

“Thank you.” Theresa sniffled.

“We’re sisters, you don’t have to be so polite.” Dolores wiped tears from her face.

Theresa had no family back home, so she was her family. “Look, your makeup is ruined.” Dolores asked the makeup artist to come in and powder her face.

Theresa’s face was soon powdered and Dolores squatted behind her, fixing her wedding dress. “I’ve been to the wedding hall, the room looks romantic. I can see Armand is putting a lot of effort into it.” Theresa looked at her reflection in the mirror and didn’t speak. Since she had already agreed, she couldn’t regret it any more. She just hoped Armand wouldn’t disappoint her.

It was time for Theresa to enter the living room. Since she didn’t have any family members, she could only walk the red carpet alone. She stepped onto the red carpet dotted with flower petals and walked slowly through the first archway. Dolores knew Theresa well. She knew what kind of wedding dress would suit her and what kind of design could enhance her figure.

Theresa was slim, but had a well-developed chest, so the strapless wedding dress with the fitted bodice suited her best. It could bring out her sensuality. The fishtail design and the fishtail dress required a certain waist. Only the eligible waist could make the fishtail dress look racy. Dolores was sure of Theresa’s beautiful body. As expected, she looked like a mermaid with the fishtail when she walked and her slender figure was most noticeable under the tight cut of the dress.

Her pure white veil looked like a fine plumage unfurled by a white peacock on her back. The pearls of various sizes she wore looked like twinkling stars that made her look like a goddess come from heaven. There was no large number of guests or tedious proceedings at the wedding. The wedding was simple but sacred.

Armand wore a black tuxedo and stood at the end of the red carpet. He looked at the woman walking slowly toward him. His eyes became determined after a dazed moment. She was a very innocent and special girl, a girl he insisted on marrying. He looked down slightly and a smile tugged at his lips.

Theresa approached him under the melodious wedding song and Armand held out his hand. Theresa hesitated for a moment and finally placed her hand in the palm of his. Then the voice of the master of ceremonies was heard. “Today is the big day for Mr. Bernie and Miss Gordon, please give the bride and groom a round of applause.”

The old lady, who was dressed in a red cheongsam and mink stole, was now teary-eyed and clapped loudly, feeling happy for her grandson. She had been looking forward to this day. Armand was finally married. “Then, Mr. Bernie, do you take Miss Gordon to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?”
