Armand heard Matthew’s bodyguard walk up the mountain, after the bodyguard saw him clearly, he reported, “It’s me, where’s Mr. Nelson?”.

“Inside.” Reported the bodyguard.

The paths were easier to walk now as the people had already passed, leaving a narrow and relatively flat path. They followed the bodyguard, passed a small mountain peak and saw some persimmon trees. In the current season, the leaves on the trees had almost all fallen off, only deep red persimmons were visible.

Dolores saw the shadow of Matthew and his daughter under a slightly larger persimmon tree. It looked like her daughter had eaten a persimmon and had juice in her mouth, Matthew was helping her daughter wipe off the excess juice.

At first, she thought Matthew was lucky because his parents didn’t abandon him, he’s from a good family, everyone knew he was born with a silver spoon.

But she felt sorry for him when he ignored that Victoria was his mother. “Mom.” Simona saw Dolores first. “Mommy, are you looking for me?” said Simona excitedly.

Matthew turned his head and saw a still woman, she could command attention despite how dim the moonlight was that night.

How could she appear if it wasn’t time yet?

Dolores came down and stood in front of him, there was much less undergrowth obstructing his path, so it made it easier for him to get down. She looked at her daughter and wanted to touch her face, but remembered that her hands were too dirty, so she pulled them away and said, “Yes, I miss Simona very much, that’s why I took some time to see you.”

Matthew saw dried blood on her hands as she held them out and asked, “Are you hurt?”

“It’s nothing, just a scratch.” Dolores replied after looking at her hands.

“Come on.” She grabbed Dolores’ hand and carried her daughter with her other hand.

“Mom, Mom.” Simona ran to her with two khakis.

“Slow down, don’t fall.” This way was not good.

“I’m going carefully.” Simona said as she ran in front of her to give her two persimmons. The persimmons were yellowish red, they were not big, but they were soft. “Mommy, they are sweet, you can taste them.”

These persimmons were unripe and not succulent enough, they will only be juicy and sweet when they are soft and ripe.

Dolores smiled and said, “Let’s go home first and eat it at home.”

She was afraid Victoria would worry that they would take too long.

Simona nodded and asked, “So, Mommy, does this mean you’re going to stay with me?” Dolores smiled vaguely, raised her head to look at Matthew, but was addressing her son, “Mommy has to take care of something first, I’ll be back as soon as I’m done. But we can walk together.”

“Really?” Simona hugged Dolores’ leg happily, she was elated to be able to spend time with Mommy.

“Mommy, can I be with you?” Simona blinked at the question.

“Of course.” Simona’s eyes were bright and beautiful, they looked like crescent moons when she smiled.

“And me?” Matthew clutched her hand a little tightly, she could stand these two boy, but what about him?

Dolores cast a glance in his direction, she couldn’t look him straight in the eyes because she felt guilty, “The master only allows me to take two people so…”

“You mean I can’t accompany you?”

Matthew’s gaze dropped to the floor, she looked nervous and unwilling to make any eye contact. He was sure she was lying, but he didn’t expose her.

“Let’s go,” Matthew said nonchalantly.

They followed the bodyguard and reached the foot of the mountain in no time.

Matthew handed his daughter to Theresa and dragged Dolores into the room. Dolores would not be so obedient in the past, but she dared not defy him now. She wanted to hug him. She did what he wanted and put her hands around his waist as they entered the room.

Her initiative took him by surprise, he froze like a zombie, had his temper changed after a few days of learning something new?

Nevertheless, he was enjoying this. She leaned down to kiss his forehead, slowly moving her lips to his eyes and asked him if she missed him in her deep musky voice.

His muscular chest felt warm, she had her reservations at first, but now she wanted to open her heart to this man, to love and accept him for who he is.

She nodded slightly.

He is the father of her children; they had an arranged marriage when they were young.

She had heard the saying, “Fate has a funny way of surfacing, you’ve walked past each other a thousand times in your past life so you can look back once in this life, you’ve looked back a thousand times in this life to find yourself once.”

Matthew felt that she had changed, no matter how much they tried to be intimate before, no matter how much initiative he showed, she was distant.

He really liked this new version of Dolores, but he was a little puzzled, what made her change in a few days?

Who did she meet, what happened, what changed her?

Dolores lifted her head, stood on her tiptoes and kissed him without hesitation, it was fleeting, it felt like when a dragonfly flew across the water and touched him for a second. She left before Matthew could thoroughly enjoy her kiss.

“I want to bring Simona and Samuel with me for a couple of days,” he said shyly. “I don’t think you’ll object.”

Matthew wanted to say, “Can I say no?” Obviously not.

Seeing her behaving like a playful woman, Matthew felt his heart burning, beating furiously for her, at that moment he wanted to give her a tight hug and make her part of him.

“I can agree with that, but…” He knelt down, ran his lips softly along her ear, paused at her neck and in her ear, “kiss me again, and I’ll agree.”

He was very close and spoke enigmatically.

Dolores trembled, unable to free herself from his grip, Matthew held her tightly with a slight smile, he enjoyed making her shy and self-conscious, unable to decide if she could be reserved. He thought she was beautiful and sensual.

“Close your eyes.” said Dolores as quietly as a fly.

Mathew laughed, closed his eyes obediently and lowered his head as he waited for a big hug.

Dolores closed her eyes and remembered that Victoria was waiting for her, her heart skipped a beat, she placed her lips on his. His lips were soft, and a little cold.

Just as she was about to pull back, it occurred to her to change the shape of her lips, they intertwined tightly with his, she gave him a kiss with tongue.

Dolores was afraid he wouldn’t finish this. She pushed him away with her hand, but, the button of his shirt hit her wounded palm. She cried out in pain, Matthew relaxed a little and asked, “Did I hurt you?”

“My hand hurts.” Dolores said in a solemn voice, he felt a little resentment.

Her hug now took him by surprise, Matthew forgot about his injuries. After saying that Matthew suddenly remembered and took a look at his hand. It looked like something had stuck in his hand, there was dirt and dried blood around the wound.

He frowned and asked, “How did this happen?”.

Dolores answered truthfully, “A tree branch hurt me.”

Matthew raised his eyes, he wanted to tell her how clumsy she was, but he remembered the countless tree branches cluttered everywhere in the mountains and fell silent. If it weren’t for the bodyguards, he might not have gotten his children up the mountain safe and sound.

“Wait.” He asked for some rubbing alcohol over the phone. This place was terrible, there was nothing available around here.

“No need, I don’t have enough time; the master is waiting for me. I have to leave immediately.” Dolores said as she panicked to run to the Forbis Family.

“Are you in such a hurry?” asked Matthew suspiciously.

“Yes.” Dolores nodded her head.

Matthew really wanted to know what was the cause of her sudden change of heart, so he nodded to show her that he had agreed; Dolores was elated.

However, Matthew was very concerned, he liked the new Dolores, but he nodded to get her approval; Dolores was so happy she was speechless.

Dolores arrived in the yard and picked up her daughter, took her son by the hand and headed to the back of the yard.

As soon as they were outside, Matthew came out of the log house with Boyce, they walked down the path to the backyard. He wanted to know what Dolores was doing with the children after taking them there. He noticed that she didn’t stay in the backyard with the children, but they came out of the backyard.

A car not far away seemed to be waiting for Dolores, but more importantly, he recognized that car.
