When there was a knock on the studio door, Jayden didn’t even raise his head. He continued to write his calligraphy and lightly said to come in.

Thomas opened the door, “Coral is here.” Coral?

Jayden had forgotten her existence.

Thomas remembered, “The maid Mrs. Nelson brought with her when she married.”

Suddenly remembering, Jayden asked casually, “What’s she doing here?”

“I don’t know, but she has a little boy with her.” Thomas thought about the child’s appearance and said in a dignified tone, “The child may be Young Master Matthew’s.”

He had been in the Nelson Family for a long time. He had seen Matthew when he was a child and the child outside right now looked exactly like Matthew’s childhood.

“What?” Jayden looked at Thomas in amazement, “He has a son?”

Why didn’t he know?

He put down the paintbrush and walked out of the studio, “Let’s go see.”

Thinking of something, he said, “Go upstairs and call her.”

Victoria hadn’t been feeling well for two days, so she was resting upstairs.

“Okay.” Thomas went upstairs.

Jayden walked into the living room. Coral and Samuel were sitting on the couch. Walking toward the couch from behind, he could see a small head. His footsteps hesitated for a moment and then his speed increased.

She wanted to see Samuel quickly.

Seeing Jayden approaching, Coral stood up.

“You’ve come.” Jayden was very quiet.

Coral nodded, “It’s been a long time.”

Although they didn’t live far apart, they had few opportunities to see each other. The last time was when Matthew had gotten married and Jayden had called her in for questioning.

Jayden sighed feeling that time had passed too quickly.

“This boy?” she looked at Samuel, his little white face and bright eyes. His face and eyes…

Samuel looked at him too. Jayden had deep features, white hair at his temples and wrinkles at the corners of his eyes that were the mark of his wisdom. He wore a Chinese robe and his posture was perfectly straight.

Samuel blinked his black, beady eyes, clutched helplessly at the corner of his shirt.

Was this man his grandfather?

Was he dreaming?

It seemed like a dream.

Coral didn’t know what to answer and hesitated for a moment, “Wasn’t Young Master Matthew married once?”

Their marriage was so short and so much time had passed that it was a little abrupt to mention it now.

“Yes.” Jayden understood.

But he was still puzzled. If this child was really Matthew’s, why was he bringing it up now that it was so big?

“It’s like this…Mr. Matthew divorced Miss Dolores at first. They were born after the divorce.” Coral looked at Samuel and patted his head. “Maybe Miss Dolores was upset about the divorce and that’s why she didn’t tell him they were her children…so I came here thinking…”

She couldn’t say the words ‘you could assess if he really is Matthew’s son’ in front of Samuel.

That would have hurt his little heart.

“Children?” Jayden didn’t understand.

There was more than one?

Coral explained with a smile, “Samuel has a baby sister, too. They’re twins.”

“What twins?” Victoria came down the stairs. Her clothes hung off her body and she looked haggard, as if she were seriously ill.

“Let’s go to the study and talk.” Sensing Coral’s concern, Jayden asked the servant to entertain Samuel in the living room, “Get him something to eat.”

“I’m not hungry.” Samuel said.

Jayden replied, “Okay, then he’ll show you around the house.”

“Okay, thanks!” Samuel really wanted to look around the mansion. He wanted to see the place where his father grew up.

He followed the expectant servant.

Victoria came down, looking haggard, “What are you two talking about?”

Jayden supported her and asked worriedly, “Feeling better?”

Victoria smiled faintly, “Much better. It’s nothing serious, don’t worry.”

“Do you think you’re still young?” Jayden looked at her, “We’re all old!”

Victoria’s expression dimmed dejectedly, “I think I’m still very young! The day I met you seems like yesterday.”

When he arrived at the studio, Jayden helped Victoria into a chair before turning to look at Coral, “Just say what you want.”

“Wait, first tell me about the twins.” Victoria interrupted them.

Jayden told her.

“What?” Victoria was shaking with excitement, Matthew had children?

“You’re still sick, don’t get too excited.” Jayden said in a soothing tone, trying to calm her down.

But how was she going to calm down if she found out Matthew had children.

“What the hell is going on?” Victoria clung to Jayden’s arm tightly.

Her nails dug into his flesh, but he couldn’t feel it.

Coral explained the matter again, “I think Miss Dolores is angry with Young Master Matthew, that’s why she doesn’t want to tell him about the existence of her children. I thought we could evaluate her personally… test her, like on television. One, she won’t be able to deny it anymore, and, besides, Nelson Family blood is not to be taken lightly.”

Jayden mulled over his words slowly.

But Victoria could not sit still, “Where are the children? I want to meet them.”

“There’s no need to rush.” Jayden put a hand on her shoulder.

“Why not, she’s in her early thirties and now we find out she has children, how can I not be excited?” Victoria had forgotten she was Matthew’s stepmother.

Jayden thought of the patience and pain she had endured for so many years, then asked Coral to bring the child in.

The stairs were at the back of the room, so Victoria hadn’t been able to tell that there was a child in the room. She had only heard Coral say something about twins.

Soon, Coral ushered Samuel in.

Victoria rose from the chair, her frail body swaying as she looked down at the little boy in Coral’s arms.

His small pointed nose, full forehead and bright eyes were exactly like Matthew’s as a child.

Trembling, she moved closer to Coral and wrapped her trembling hands around Samuel’s little face. He wanted to say something, but his internal organs seemed to tear, causing him extreme pain.

“What’s your name?” her voice was very hoarse.

“Samuel Flores.”

“Samuel Flores?” Victoria turned to look at Jayden. What was going on?

Why was his last name Flores?

“Miss Dolores raised him herself and she had already divorced him when he was born, so he has her last name.” Coral explained.

Victoria understood.

Only there was no need for what Coral had just said about needing to evaluate him personally. Looking at his face, it was clear that he was Matthew’s son.

“Call him and ask him to pay us a visit.” Victoria suppressed her emotions and reached out to hug Samuel, “Come and hug me.”

Samuel blinked and asked, “Are you my grandmother?”

Victoria’s heart seemed to tear apart. Her whole body was trembling.

“Yes, she’s your grandmother.” Jayden answered for her.

He reached over to support her and said firmly, “You’re her grandmother.” Victoria dropped into his arms, crying muffled tears.

Perhaps, her willpower had weakened due to her illness.

“Tell him to come back.” Victoria murmured into his arms.

Considering the current situation, Jayden thought what Coral said was reasonable. Dolores had to be angry with Matthew, what were they going to do if she refused to admit that the children were Matthew’s.

Therefore, they needed to show her the evidence, so she would have no room to refute.

“Don’t worry too much about that. I’m afraid he hasn’t figured it out yet.”

“So what should we do?” Victoria panicked.

This child was obviously Matthew’s. He was the blood of the Nelson Family.

Jayden sighed and patted her on the back, “There is a way. Don’t worry.”

Victoria calmed down a little, “Then let Samuel stay here.”

“This won’t work.”

Before Jayden could answer her, Coral spoke up. She had used an excuse to bring him here; no one knew where she had taken him. She couldn’t leave him here before she found evidence of his identity.

“Coral, you go back first. I’ll send Thomas to the villa later.” Jayden had an idea.

First, Coral had to go back to find Matthew and Samuel’s lock of hair or toothbrushes used for testing.

No one would be able to deny the fact after the test.

“Okay.” Coral nodded.
