.
Dolores was speechless.
She tried to pull her leg off, but it was too heavy.
She couldnât even pull away.
Dolores gave up and stopped moving. She turned around and reached out for the phone on the bedside table. Luckily, it was close enough to reach.
She called the reception desk, âHi, could you bring me a set of clothes from the mall? Iâll pay for it later.â
âSure. May I know what size you are?â
âS.â
âOkay.â
Before Dolores ended the call, the receptionist asked, âMay I know what your room number is? Weâll send it to your room later.â
ââ¦â
âRoom 88,â a manâs voice rose from behind her.
Dolores turned and saw Matthew staring at her.
When had he woken up?
âRoom 88,â Dolores answered the receptionist.
âAll right.â
Dolores put the phone back on the bedside table as she ended the call.
âWhen did you wake up?â
Did you see her naked just now?
Matthew smiled and played it cool, âJust a moment ago.â
Dolores was relieved. She wrapped herself in the blanket and asked, âDonât you want to get up?â
Matthew turned and looked at her. He supported her head with one of his hands and put his other arm over Dolores, âWhat?â
Dolores turned around, âNothing.â
She spoke so clearly just now, how could he not notice? She did it on purpose. She already knew his trick.
Dolores didnât dare stand up to Matthew. All she could do was lie down and wait for her clothes to be delivered.
After about half an hour, the doorbell rang.
It was as if Dolores found her saving straw: âGo open the door.â
Matthew remained lying on the bed. He even walked over to her and held the towel under him, âWhy didnât you go?â
ââ¦â
Matthew smiled and said, âI could go.â
Dolores stared at him, waiting for him to complete his sentence.
Matthew moved his head closer to Dolores and looked into her eyes, âIf you kiss me. Iâll go.â
ââ¦â
Matthew smiled, âNo? Thatâs okay. I donât have anything to do today. I donât have any appointments. I could take a day off.â
ââ¦â
Dolores hadnât been back all night. She didnât want to spend any more minutes here.
After some consideration, Dolores said slowly, âYouâ¦close your eyes.â
âOkay.â
Matthew closed his eyes. His eyelashes were long and curly.
Dolores looked at his eyelashes and thought they looked so much like Samuelâs.
Sometimes she felt very envious.
She hadnât expected Matthewâs eyelashes to be so long and curly.
Dolores tried to keep calm, âDonât open your eyes.â
âOkay.â
Dolores wrapped herself in the blanket and moved closer to Matthew. His skin was so thin she could even see the fine hair on his face. Dolores closed her eyes and kissed Matthew lightly on the lip.
ââ¦â
Matthew opened his eyes. The kiss was too quick.
She pulled away before he could enjoy the kiss.
âYou promised,â Dolores bit her lips. She was too afraid he would make more demands.
Matthew sighed, when would she ever kiss him willingly?
He got up and ordered the blanket for Dolores, then headed for the door.
Abbott was standing in front of the door when it opened. He was holding a garment bag in his hand, âThe front desk gave me these when I went by the reception desk. I had already paid for them.â
Abbott tried to look inside the room as he spoke. He was very curious as to the identity of the woman inside the room.
When had Matthew become so unrestrained?
How outlandish was it last night that the woman needed a whole new set of a suit?
Matthew was impatient. He frowned and asked coldly, âHave you seen enough?â
Abbott quickly looked away from the inside of the room, but he was too curious. So he asked, âWhoâs inside?â
âWhen did you ever have the right to ask for my life?â
Abbott smiled, âI thought it was Miss Flores.â Everyone knew who Matthew liked.
Dolores was the one Matthew was interested in now.
âThese are the clothes, and hereâs the car key,â Abbott handed everything to Matthew. Matthew then asked Abbott, âDid you find out what I asked you to look into?â.
Matthew was afraid that someone would hurt Dolores. He was worried that person would succeed.
He didnât dare think about what would happen next.
He couldnât bear it.
âDo it as soon as possible. Besides, find out what Maria is doing lately.â After calming down, he thought about the whole thing. Dolores had just returned. She wouldnât have any enemies.
The only person who wanted to hurt Dolores was Maria.
She had better be innocent this time.
Or else sheâd get revenge for Dolores!
âAll right,â Abbott looked at his watch, âI have an appointment with the people there. Itâs at 7:30.â
âYou should go now.â
Matthew closed the door.
He walked over to the bed and handed the clothes to Dolores, along with the car key.
Dolores was stunned. She lifted her head and looked at Matthew, âThis isâ¦â
âI thought you liked it.â replied Matthew calmly.
She wanted to buy the car, but it wasnât because she liked the car. It was because she needed the car to get around. She never expected Matthew to remember what Terry casually mentioned.
âIâll pay you back,â Dolores took the car key.
âDonât talk about money with me.â Matthew looked down and looked at Dolores, âI donât need the money. Well, give me one more kiss as payment for the car.â
Dolores pushed him away, âDonât be silly. Go get dressed.â
Matthew stepped back. He reached out and stroked Doloresâ hair. âYouâre my wife, isnât it a husbandâs responsibility to buy his wife a car?â
Dolores almost choked on her own saliva at the word husband.
She no longer dared mention anything about money.
âIâm going to take a shower,â Matthew pulled a clean shirt out of the closet and headed for the bathroom. He had fallen asleep when he hugged Dolores, so he hadnât showered last night. He felt uncomfortable and needed a shower now.
He also wanted to give Dolores some space.
He knew she wouldnât feel comfortable getting dressed in front of him.
Dolores sat up in bed and was still wrapped in the blanket. She looked at the closed bathroom door and clutched the car key in her hand. Although Matthew liked to hug her and all, and she felt disrespected, he never did anything rude to Dolores.
For example, the night before she gave him the impression, but he never forced himself on her.
She even remembered a casual conversation.
Their kiss last night was very tender.
Dolores felt conflicted.
She wiped away her tears.
In contrast, Sampson, whom she always trusted and respected, behaved so brazenly with her.
After Dolores had dressed, Matthew had also showered. They both walked out the door together.
The car was parked in the hotel parking area.
Matthew sat in the passenger seat, âThis is the first time Iâve ever sat in your car.â
Dolores looked at him, âAre you sure you donât want to drive?â.
Matthew remained silent. He buckled his seat belt in response to her question.
Dolores started the engine and pulled away.
The drive was silent. The two did not talk to each other, but had different thoughts.
When they arrived at Doloresâ house, she unbuckled her seat belt and said, âI have to go check on them. Then weâll go eat.â
She hadnât been back all night. She was worried about her children.
She had never slept over.
âOkay,â Matthew sat still in the passenger seat.
Matthew watched her walk into the building. Then he leaned back in the seat and looked in the direction of his unit.
Knock knock.
Someone knocked on the car window. Matthew turned and saw a small hand.
He rolled down the car window and saw the little boy, who was standing in front of the car door. The little boy raised his head and asked, âWere you with my mother last night?â Before Matthew could answer, Samuel shouted, âPervert!â
ââ¦â
Samuel got angry every time he saw Matthew.
What did he do to make Samuel hate him so much?
âI think we need to talk,â Matthew raised his eyebrows. Samuelâs attitude would definitely affect Doloresâ relationship with him.
After all, Dolores cared about Samuel.
âI wonât talk to you. Iâll help Mom find another guy. A richer, better looking guy,â Samuel was very angry at the thought of how Matthew had left them.
He wanted so badly to bite him.
Matthew opened the car door and got out of the car.
âBoyâ¦â
Matthewâs phone rang in his pocket. He pulled out his phone and saw that Abbot had sent a video to him.
