X. He's Back

''Well, well, well.'' Female voice ranged through school's cafeteria making few students to turn around and face the brown haired girl who just came through the door ''If it isn't our run-away bride, Jasper fucking Hale.''

The moment Blair's eyes landed on the fifth member of Cullen family, she couldn't help herself but to make a scene. She immediately took a seat in the between Alice and Edward, that's right across Jasper's.

How convenient.

''Hello Blair.'' Alice greeted human girl with sweet smile. Blair's eyes never left Jasper's, but she nodded.

''How's it going Alice, everybody?'' She asked not searching for an answer. Edward smirked at her reading her thoughts. It was clear as day to everyone she was pissed at Jasper for ditching her, but Edward was experiencing her anger on a whole another level.

''This should be interesting.'' Emmett said, rubbing his hands together and eyeing Jasper, then Blair, then Jasper again. Rosalie was the only one with not amused look on her face as she couldn't care less about Jasper and his wannabe girlfriend, after all Blair already knows their secret.

As for Jasper, if he could sweat he would be wet as a rat now. His usually straight posture straighten up even more when his eyes made contact with Blair's. He bit his tongue out of discomfort he was feeling under her gaze. Jasper knew he would eventually had to talk with Blair, but he never imagined her to come to him.

''Blair-'' He started but female's sharp voice immediately shut him up.

''No, Jasper you're gonna listen to me for a second.'' She said, making Emmett's palm fly to his mouth to hide enormous grin.

''We've been friends for what- a month now? You know me better than most people in this school, maybe even better than Luke. And yet, you still thought I can't keep a secret? Or even worse! You thought I'd be scared of you! You, Jasper! The sweetest man alive- or dead, I'm still kinda confused about it.'' Blair wanted to scream at him so bad to express her feelings and show him how much she cares, but she whispered knowing she's in public place.

''Only way I could protect you from myself was not to reveal who am I.'' Jasper whispered back, slightly leaning over the table. ''I'm killer Blair, someone you can't trust. You can't control me, I almost killed you.''

''But you didn't.'' Blair said back to him a bit louder.

''But I could, I still can.'' Jasper shared a look with Rosalie and they nodded at each other ''You can't talk to us anymore.''

''Excuse me?''

''Jasper, what are you talking about?'' Alice questioned her brother, clearly she hasn't been told about any of this.

''Blair can no longer have contact with any of us. Not me, nor you Alice or anyone else. It was already too dangerous for her to get involved with us when she had no idea of what we are. Now it's dangerous for both her and us.'' Jasper said while making no contact with Blair who was pleading him with her look to change his decision.

''Jasper-'' Blair started but she was cut off by Jasper's glare.

''It's done.'' He said making Blair's anger to bubble inside of her. She stood up while still glaring at the golden haired boy who was just sitting in his seat looking back at her with painful look.

''It's done? It hasn't even started!''

''You should leave Blair.'' Jasper said making all his sibling to look at him. Alice and Edward both had the same face filled with sorrow for the human girl.

''No Jasper, you can't do that. You can't just randomly, out of nowhere start talking with me and befriending me. You can't just make me feel all sorts of things for you just to play with them. I'm not a toy. And I don't know about you, but I have feelings.'' Blair said while standing and starring down at Jasper. Her clear blue eyes were filled with tears she refused to let out.

Jasper felt everything she did, and it only made him feel worse than he already is.

''And if you felt slightly similar feeling like I did, you will stop me from walking away. You will stand up and tell me I shouldn't be afraid, not of you. I trust you Jasper, maybe you should have a little bit more faith in yourself.'' Blair stood there for few more seconds, waiting for Jasper to do something or just say anything and change his mind. But seeing nothing is changing in his features, Blair figured out Jasper won't change his decision.

Letting out one shaky breath, Blair closed her eyes for one second to get rid of her tears. Then without single look, she walked away from Cullen's table, passing through the rest of cafeteria and finally leaving through doors.

''Are you sure that was the right decision, Jasper?'' Edward asked his brother as he was watching Blair leave.

''Of course he is not sure.'' Alice answered for Jasper. She turned towards Jasper placing her cold hands over his.  ''Jaz, if you let her leave now, you won't have her back.''

Blair went outside to light a cigarette. But the moment she reached in her backpack she remembered not one was left. Cursing silently, Blair tried to calm herself down. She can't believe she almost cried in front of Jasper Hale and his family in the middle of the full cafeteria.

''What a dumbass!'' She yelled at herself, putting her palms over her cheeks and lightly slapping herself ''Stupid, stupid, stupid...''

''Blair!'' She heard someone calling her but didn't pay any attention. She thought it was probably Mike or even Tyler who saw everything that happened earlier and came here to comfort her.

She ignored the calls as she was thinking about the whole scene that happened moments ago. She felt so embarrassed, she probably won't ever even glance towards the Cullen's table.

But Blair was surprised when suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder. Coldness from the hand made her jump a little and turn around facing the person who came put to talk to her.

''Blair.'' Jasper started, but he wasn't sure what to do next. He followed his instincts (and Alice's advice) and ran after Blair. But Blair's feeling of confusion confused the vampire even more.

''Jasper, what are you-'' But before she could even finish, Jasper finally closed the gap between them. He closed his eyes and without any warning leaned in and his lips touched Blair's.

Blair stood there frozen, without knowing what to do or how to react. Jasper, who was telling her to never talk with him or his family ever again, is now kissing her in the middle of school's parking lot.

Finally coming to her senses, Blair put her right hand over his cheek and kissed him back. She felt fireworks in her stomach and Jasper felt like he was alive again. Her heart was beating twice as faster than usual making Jasper smirk while kissing her.

Few seconds later, Jasper baked away half a step breaking the kiss. Suddenly Blair's lips were away from Jasper's cold ones,  which Blair never stopped thinking about since the day she kissed him.

''What made you change your mind?'' Blair asked, this time she closed the distance but didn't kiss him. They were just standing there, close to each other while their bodies touched.

''You, Blair.'' Jasper said, closing his eyes and placing his forehead against her's. His golden eyes opened again making Blair's heart to beat faster. ''I just can't stay away from you.''

New pair walked back to school cafeteria hand in hand. It was Jasper's idea, he wanted everyone to know that Blair was with him and that no body could touch her now. Of course the moment they came in everyone's eyes were on them, making Blair's face to turn crimson red. Out of all of them she felt Mike, Eric and Tyler's eyes on them the most.

''Can't wait for Luke to tell me 'told you so' when he recovers.'' Blair mumbled, scooting closer to Jasper, if that was even possible. Jasper smirked, his mouth coming closer to her ear to whisper.

''You're going to hear it from Alice first.'' Just as he said that they came to the usual Cullen's table. Jasper pulled out a chair for Blair to sit on. After she mumbled a quiet 'thank you', he sat down next to her and put his arm around her shoulder.

The rest of their siblings, just like the rest of the school was looking at them with curiosity. Edward was smirking at the couple, Alice had the biggest grim on her face that was clearly saying 'told you so', Rosalie was like her usual self and Emmett was sitting there with his arms crossed over his chest and sly smirk on his face.

''Told ya he's got separation issues.''
