Ugly woman?

​Qin Meimei’s brow furrowed at the remark. Renowned as one of the most beautiful women in White Light Town, she was taken aback by Wang Shan’s insult.

“I believe your Pill Technique doesn’t compare to my father’s. If you dare, visit my home tomorrow. I’ll show you what a true Pill Refining Master is,” Qin Meimei retorted calmly.

“So you’re still not convinced,” Wang Shan observed. “Very well, I’ll come by tomorrow to see for myself the kind of person who could have such an ‘ugly daughter.'”

Qin Meimei was seething with anger and anxiety at Wang Shan’s provocation. Yet, as the Pill King’s daughter, she knew she had to maintain her dignity and not tarnish her reputation.

“I’ll come looking for you tomorrow. I doubt you’ll have the courage to show up, considering my father is the Pill King!” Qin Meimei clung to her last shred of dignity.

At that moment, five girls emerged from the upscale hotel.

“Young Master, welcome back!”

They quickly gathered around Wang Shan.

Tang Qiao and Qin Meimei felt a pang of discomfort when they saw these stunning beauties being so affectionate with Wang Shan.

Wang Shan glanced at the departing carriage and replied, “One is the daughter of the great general Tang Jianzhou, and the other is an ugly girl.”

Ugly girl? The five girls found this odd but didn’t press further since Wang Shan showed no interest in elaborating.

On his way back to his hotel room, Wang Shan ran into Ma Niu.

Ma Niu was the Three-star Cultivator who had relinquished his room for Wang Shan.

“I’ve heard that Pill King Qin Weiqiang is hosting a pill refining event in White Light Town. He’ll be selecting individuals with promising talent as his apprentices. You might want to give it a shot.” Despite his noble birth, Ma Niu wasn’t pretentious. He always made sure to share any good news with Wang Shan first.

If Ma Niu knew that Wang Shan was a Two-star Pill Refining Master and on par with Pill King Qin Weiqiang, he would likely be astounded into silence.
