Today began classes. I groaned as my alarm went off at 6a.
"Uggggg" I said turning off my alarm and wishing I could go back to sleep. I grabbed my phone to wake up as I checked my games and messages.
Bzzz bzzzz
A text came in.
"Hope you're awake and getting ready little girl ð. See you at breakfast"
I couldn't help but smile and reread the text from Alex over and over.
Jumping up I hopped in the shower playing some tunes to pump me up.
Dressing in my pink and gold "live laugh love" shirt and black leggings I brushed my hair and put it up into two bun pigtails. Grabbing my bag and key card I headed to breakfast.
It was 7:05a when I arrived at breakfast. I saw no sign of the group or Alex. I got in line and grabbed a bowl of cereal, and a banana. I sat at the normal table and started eating.
"Of course you're having chocolate and sugar," I heard behind me.
Alex sat down shaking his head at me.
"Nana tooo!" I said holding it up.
"Well that's shocking" he said teasing me.
Everyone else started coming to the table then. We all laughed and chatted.
"Ria!" Avery said suddenly. "What's your schedule?"
"Home room, history, art, pe, lunch, nap time, music, homeroom again."
No one had any similar classes as me. Not even homeroom.
"How come no one has homeroom with me?" I asked sad non of my friends would be in there with me.
"They break us up by age. So mine is 5. Avery and Gwen are in a 4 group. Ashton is in a 3 year old group. And you appear to be in a 2 year old group." Eloise said.
"But we all have lunch together!" Gwen told me.
Well that would make the day nice.
A bell rang and everyone got up.
"That's the 15 minute warning" Alex told me seeing my confusion.
"Hey I'll walk you to class" Alex said.
I smiled at his offer and took his hand as we started walking the packed halls.
We arrived at room 2.
Alex opened the door and I followed in. Littles were pouring in and starting to play around the colorful room.
Alex led me over to the teacher who was busy getting papers ready and the board organized. She saw us approach and smiled.
"Hello there! You must be my new student Gloria Rellek correct?" She said smiling.
"It's Ria," I said smiling back.
"How beautiful. My name is Miss Autumn. Now if you come with me I will show you the classroom."
I let go of Alex's hand and took hers.
"Do you want me to stay Ria?" He asked.
"Nope! You go. Bye bye!" I said eager to play with the toys and see my new class.
"Alrighty miss independent. I'll see you at lunch" He said smiling and walking out the door.
"Bye Alex!" Miss Autumn said leading me around.
"Here is your desk. You can put away your items in here. Behind this wall is the coat area. Your cubby is here. Hang your backpack and anything else here. The bathroom is at the end of the coat area. Then we have different sections of toys: a playhouse area, dress up corner, reading nook, a writing desk, the music rug, and a science corner. We play for a bit then come to the rug at the front for learning. Any questions?" She asked.
I shook my head no. Alex helped me put my stuff up at my desk and then my coat area.
"Alrigh Ria. I'll see you at lunch. Gotta go to my own classes now. Be good," he said kissing my head. He walked out and I waved bye.
"Hey Ria over here!" A small voice said.
I looked and saw a boy I think I recognized from my floor. I'd seen him in the common room a few times.
"I'm Sammy. I've seen you around and heard your name a few times in the common room. Thought you might like a friend. Want to play dolls with me?"
I nodded yes. He seemed nice. He had a small frame and sandy blonde hair that curled slightly around his ears. His eyes were a dark blue.
We got our dolls are started playing.
"So is Alex your daddy?" He asked me.
"No. We're just friends. He's being nice to me."
"Of course he wouldn't be your daddy you're too ugly to have a daddy," said a snarky little voice behind me.
I turned around to see who the hell thought they could talk to me like that.
A little girl stood before me. Brown mousy hair and dark brown eyes narrowed at me. She had a scowl on her.
"What's your deal?" I asked her standing up to meet her gaze.
"Alex is mine! You better stay away from him or you'll regret it," she said threatening me.
I laughed in her face. "Oh please. I'm not afraid of you. You want a fight bring it," I said getting right in her face.
She narrowed her eyes even more and clenched her fist. I prepared for a fight.
"Class! Circle time!" Miss Autumn sang out. Everyone picked up toys and went to their spot.
"Thats Lily. She's a mega brat. I've never seen anyone stand up to her. I think you just made an enemy out of her," Sammy whispered as we cleaned up and went to sit.
"Oh great," I mumbled sarcastically.
My first day here was not going so well. Lily was in every one of my classes. All day I saw glares and and mean faces. I tried to ignore her but I really wanted to slap her ugly face.
"How's the first day going?" Alex said joining me in lunch. I didnt even see him I was so caught up in my thoughts.
"Ugh!" I said throwing my head into his body.
He chuckled, "awe it can't be that bad."
"Yes it can! I have an enemy," I said.
"An enemy?" He said amused.
He obviously didn't care or take me seriously.
"Just forget it. Everything is great," I said getting food.
"Okaaay miss cranky," he said shaking his head.
Lunch went slow for me. I was cranky and the food today was not my favorite. All healthy stuff. Bleck.
Nap time occured in my homeroom. Which sucked because I had to see Lily again.
Our cots even got placed next to each other.
"Ugly ugly you are ugly. No one will ever love you," I heard as we lay there.
"Shut up and leave me alone!" I said back so just she could hear.
"Don't tell me to shut up!" She said pinching me.
"Don't pinch!" I said pinching her back.
We kept pinching each other back and forth getting louder and louder.
"Girls!" Miss Autumn said. "Hands to ourselves! Lily move your cot over to my desk right now. Ria, lay down and close your eyes!"
Lily huffed and puffed all the way there. I stuck my tongue out at her and she fumed. Haha yes.
