"Come on Gloria! We need to get you to the doctor!" I stated pulling my little from the tv.
"Nooo! No doctor! I hate doctor!" She stated trying to grip onto the couch.
I had managed to not say the word doctor all morning. She was fed, showered, dressed and almost ready to leave when she found the appointment card in my coat pocket.
"You need a check up. And to get on birth control! Plus we need to talk to the doctor about your depression!" I said prying her fingers off the couch.
We had recently talked more about her past and her depression. I was proud of her but honestly believed medicine would be the best route for her. She was reluctant to it.
"No! I don't want medicine!" She stated trying desperately to get me off her and to let her down.
She did not succeed.
I managed to get her out the door. Though I had to pry fingers off the door frame...twice before we could leave the room.
Somehow I managed to get her to the school doctor office.
The lady at the front chuckled as she saw me dragged Ria in there.
"Wow what a beautiful baby girl you are!" She said to Ria.
Ria stopped fighting me and put on her bashful face.
"Why are you fighting your daddy so hard now?" She stated looking at Ria.
"Doctors scary!" She said hiding in my arm.
"Oh now not this doctor. We have a wonderful staff here who are dedicated to helping you! And look at all the toys we have in the waiting room. Plus if you behave we have a special toy box you can pick something out of to take home when you leave! Isn't that cool?" She stated. The woman appeared early twenties and was a little plump with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her eyes shone bright with Ria and you could tell her was a miracle worker with the children. She appeared to be a switch so she could be dominant but in a child like way that made the children want to listen.
Ria got down and took her hand. She followed to the toys and got busy playing dolls. The lady stepped aside and came back to me.
"You are amazing with her," I stated thankful to be able to sit down finally.
"Oh nonsense. Toys and bribes fix everything! Now the doctor will see you in a few minutes!" She stated before leaving.
Ria played quietly and watched some tv. 10 minutes later the nurse called us back. Rai's eyes panicked with fear.
"Oh Ria!" The front desk person called out, she held up a toy chest and Ria transformed into a brave little girl.
"Who knew she could be so easily bribed?" I whispered under my breath.

Two hours later Ria was walking out with a Cinderella bandaid, a lollipop and a brand new childrens books from the toy chest.
"You made out like a bandit at the doctors!" Avery stated as we sat down to lunch.
"Yeah its awesome! I like the doctor now. I wanna go back!" She stated.
"Great now you'll be sick all the time won't you!" I said teasing her and stealing a fry.
"Hey!! My fries!" She said playfully and took one of my tots.
"Oh now who wants tator tots miss "No daddy I wont take yours"! I replied.
She giggled. "You started it!"
I kissed her head and we began to eat.
Ria's appointment had gone well. The doctor is starting her on a low anti depressant and mood stabilizer. Ria actually agreed to it. And she got her birth control shot renewed, plus the flu shot. She was a happy healthy little.
"Okay baby girl back to the room for a nap!" I sang. She needed to stay on her schedule or she would get cranky.
"Awwe but I wanted to stay with my friends. Can't they come back to our place and we watch tv?" She pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
"You have to have a nap time. And that's not up to just me if everyone comes over,"
Soon all the littles begged and begged their doms.
Pleases and promises to be good were made.
"Okay okay okay!" We all kind of said at once.
"But everyone has to nap first. You can watch 1 30 minute show then its sleep time. If you dont follow the rules you to home and this never happens again!" I stated.
I expected looks of obedience but what did I get?
Well at first the other littles had the looks I wanted but then my little squealed and threw her arms around me saying thank you. Then ALL the littles started swarming me saying, "thank you uncle Alex!!"
"You're gonna get killed bro," Cole said patting me fake sympathetically.
"You could come help," I replied in a smart ass tone.
"Oh no! This is on you dude!" He said taking off after kissing Ashton and Avery quickly.
"Alright littles onward to our apartment."
"YAYAYAYA!!! They all cheered!
What the hell did I just get myself into?
