Chapter Forty-Two
â¡Riders On The Stormâ¡
"Stiles! Keep going! I can see you, Stiles!" Lydia yelled as the light faded. Soon enough the light was gone and all that was left behind was an empty tunnel. "Stiles?" Lydia called out as a tear ran down her face. "Lydia?" Avalon asked and Lydia turned to look at them
"Where is he? It was working. You saw him, right?" She asked and Malia shook her head, "We didn't see anyone." She said making Lydia sigh and glanced back at the tunnel. "He was here. I know it. Stiles was here. I saw him." She said as she ran a hand through her hair while a few more tears ran down her face.
"Let's go back inside." Avalon said and she gently grabbed Lydia's shoulder before directing her back into the bunker. Scott sighed softly and went to close the door but someone suddenly grabbed it making him spin around. "Liam!" Scott said in shock as Liam glanced at everyone, "There's something you need to see." He said.
"You're still here..."
"But everyone else is gone. All of them- they're all gone." He said making Avalon walk over, "Look, you have to come with me." Liam said panickly and Scott raised his eyebrows. "What is it?" He asked, "I can't explain it. I have to show you." Liam said and Scott nodded before turning to Lydia and Malia. "Uh... All right. You guys stay here. Just in case." Scott said making them raise their eyebrows at him.
"In case Stiles comes back?" Malia asked and he nodded, "If there's any hope, you need to keep trying." He said before he walked out. "I'm gonna go with them." Avalon said before quickly kissing Malia then following Scott and her brother, shutting the door behind her.

"This is happening everywhere?" Avalon asked as they stood in the Hospital, the long hallway now sporting train tracks. "Here, the school lacrosse field." Liam said and Scott furrowed his brows, "What does this mean?" Scott asked as they looked at the board.
"It means..." Someone said making them turn around to see Douglas standing at the end of the hallway, "It's working." He said and Liam and Scott both flashed their canines and growled at him. "He can't take the three of us." Liam said and Scott shook his head, "No way." He said and Douglas smirked. "Hollenhund!" He called out and the sound of growling made them turn around to see Parrish standing there and Avalon chuckled slightly and glanced back at Douglas.
"Does the big bag Nazi need a guard dog?" She asked in a taunting baby voice as Parrish and Douglas started walking towards them. "Parrish. Parrish, you don't wanna do this. Stop!" Scott tried to talk Parrish down but it wasnt working, "The train is coming, boys and girl. There's no stopping the Wild Hunt. You'll make a fine Ghost Rider, Scott. And I'll have a True Alpha by my side." Douglas said.
"Parrish! Stop!" Scott yelled and all Parrish did was growl at him, "And then a Banshee, a Chimera, a Werecoyote-" Douglas started to list but someone cut him off. "A Stiles?" They said making Douglas furrow his brows, "A what-" He started to asked but Stiles came out of a room and slammed a baseball down on Douglas' head making him fall to the ground.
"Bad guy, right? I didn't misread that?" Stiles asked but before anyone could say anything Douglas got up making Stiles quickly run over to the side. Avalon's eyes flashed her golden yelled/fiery reddish-orange before she quickly grabbing Parrish, forcefully tossing him into Douglas making them both fly down the hallway.
Stiles looked at Parrish and Douglas before turning to his friends and smiling and walking over to them. "Oh! Buddy! Oh, man! Oh, it's so good to see you." Stiles said as him and Stiles pulled each other into a tight hug before pulling away after a few seconds. "Avalon! My favorite Dunbar! I missed you!" Stiles making Avalon chuckle as he pulled her into a hug making her hug him back.
"Hey, hey, hey! Uh..." Liam said, trying to get their attention, "Liam! It's so good to see you, too!" Stiles said before pulling Liam into a hug. "Yeah. No, yah! Good to see you, Stiles... But, uh..." Liam said making them look over to see Parrish covered in green and orange flames at the end of the hallway. "Okay. Yeah, we should go. Go, go, go!" Stiles said before they quickly ran off in the opposite direction.
They slowed to a stop and Stiles glanced around before running into a room, "Can't believe I'm gone a couple days and the whole place falls apart." He said as he looked around. "No, you were gone for three months." Scott said as Stiles ran out the room and looked at them shocked.
"I was- what? Okay, if they don't let me graduate, I swear to God..." He said before running into the adjacent room and Avalon furrowed her brows, "What are you looking for?" She asked. "Ah! This." Stiles said before walking out with a can of liquid nitrogen then pointed down the hall, "And him." He said making them look over to see Parrish, still covered in flames, walking over to them.
"Grab him. Grab him now." Stiles said making Scott and Liam glance at each other as Parrish started to charge at them. Scott and Liam quickly grab him and push him to the wall and almost instantly Stiles started spraying them with the liquid nitrogen until Parrish's flames went out and he fell to the floor.
"God, ow!" Liam shrieked as he patted himself rapidly making Avalon look at her brother weird, "Liam, you're fine." She said as he stopped and looked at her. "God, that doesn't feel good, you know?" He asked as Parrish looked up at Stiles confused, "Stiles? What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Buddy, love you, but we're way past that, okay? You gotta fill us in. What's going on?" He asked and Scott and Liam helped Parrish up, "Douglas... He's merging the worlds so the Ghost Riders can cross over." He said and Avalon nodded slightly.
"Yeah, he wants his supernatural army in our world." She said and Scott looked at Parrish, "How do we stop him?" He asked. "The train. It's coming." Parrish said and Avalon raided her eyebrows, "Okay, and how do we stop that?" She asked and Parrish shook his head.
"You can't stop it... But you can divert it."

"How the hell do you "merge worlds?" Okay, nowhere in the manual does it say that Werewolves can do that, and Scott and I pretty much wrote the manual." Stiles said as they walked across train tracks at the school and Avalon chuckled, "Better have some empty pages because it's gonna be a long manual." She said in a slight mumble.
"We can't even move between them, all right? Look what it took to break you out." Scott said before Liam slowed to a stop making them stop, "We can't move between worlds, but Corey can. He can exist in both worlds..." He said and Scott nodded slightly.
"And he can take people with him." He said and Liam nodded, "Yeah, at Scott's house! He pulled a Ghost Rider into our world." He said and Stiles pursed his lips looking very confused. "At the lacrosse game, he brought us into theirs." Scott said and Liam nodded slightly, "What if that's how Douglas is doing it? What if Corey's the key?" He asked and Avalon nodded.
"Makes sense, Corey was the first person Douglas took." She said and Stiles shook his head slightly. "Interesting theory, okay? Solid logic. It is, but he's in there, and we're out here. So, the only way to save everyone now is to just divert the train." He said, "We have to find him." Liam said and Avalon raised her eyebrows. "How?" She asked. "...I'm going into the Hunt." Liam said making Stiles look at him crazy, "No, no, no. Liam, I think you're confused. We're trying to get people out of the Hunt..." He said.
"He can get taken by a Ghost Rider." Scott said and Stiles shook his head, "It's just... That's not a pleasant option. I'm speaking from experience." Stiles said. Liam glanced down and noticed green hoof prints on the ground and realization crossed over his face.
"I don't need to get taken to get into the Hunt!" Liam said and Stiles raised his eyebrows, "Okay, seems like you've got an idea. Let's discu-" Stiles started to say but Liam just started running. "Where the hell are you going?" Avalon called out, "I'll be back!" Liam yelled while Stiles, Scott and Avalon watched him in disbelief.
"Were we like that?" Stiles asked as they looked at each other and Scott nodded, "Worse." He said. "Not surprising." Avalon mumbled before looking down at the tracks, "Parrish said we just have to follow the tracks." She said and Stiles nodded, "Yeah, well... those lead into the woods. This way back into the school." He said as they glanced at the school.
"You wanna split up?" Scott asked and Avalon and Stiles both shook their head. "Hell no" / "Never again." They both said making Scott sigh in relief. "Thank God." He said before the three of them started walking towards the woods.
They followed the train tracks for a little while before Scott suddenly grabbed their arms and pulled them behind a tree. "Why are we stopping?" Stiles asked and Scott nodded at something, "It's there." He said making them follow his line of sight over to a lever to switch train tracks.
"It can't be this easy." Avalon said as she glanced around warily and Stiles looked at her in exasperation, "Yes, it can, Avalon. It can be this easy! For once, let's do easy." He said and she just held her hands up in defense. "Okay, then you go ahead then." She said and he nodded and walked over to the lever with Avalon and Scott following.
Stiles went to grab it but all of the sudden a whip wrapped around his hand, "Oh, God..." He mumbled before he got pulled to the ground. "Or not." He groaned as they looked up at Douglas right as he pulled on the whip making Stiles disappear in a puff of green smoke. He looked up at Scott and Avalon before pointing a gun at them and pulling the trigger twice.
Avalon groaned as she suddenly hit the ground before glancing around to see she was in some random classroom. "I fucking hate Nazis." Avalon muttered as she stood up and started walking out the classroom. She walked out the same time as Stiles ran down the hallway and Scott ran down the stairs.
"Are you guys okay?" Scott asked and they nodded, "I think so. I finally saw the girls' locker room. It's not that different. It's kind of disappointing." He said making Avalon give him a weird look. "What just happened?" Scott asked as they started walking and Avalon sighed, "I think the worlds are collapsing in on each other." She said and Stiles nodded in agreement before the overhead speaker cracked to live.
"Attention all passengers. The train will be arriving in eleven minutes."
"We gotta get back to the diverter." Scott said and they nodded, "Yeah." Stiles said before they ran through the door. Although the second they went the right the door they ran through what seemed like yet another rift.

"Unbelievable. Even if the face of insurmountable odds. I don't know if it's suicide or stupidity." Douglas said and Scott shrugged slightly as they stood in the woods surrounded by Ghost Riders, "Maybe both. Either way, I'm getting to that diverter." Scott said. "You, of all people, Scott, should know what happens to a lone wolf." Douglas said and before Scott could anything someone else did.
"He's not alone." Theo said making them turn around to look at him, "He's got a pack." He said and Avalon and Malia ran up. "And Theo's not in it. But we are." Avalon said and then Peter walked up. "I'm not in the pack... But no one likes a Nazi." Peter said and Scott looked back at Douglas who growled before all the Ghost Riders started walking forward and shooting at them but missing.
Avalon ran up to a Ghost Rider that was pointing a gun at her before she grabbed it arm, elbowing it in the face then kicking it's legs out from under it. She spun around, blocking another Ghost Rider's arm before grabbing his head and her hands started to glow a red hot color. There was a slight sizzling sound she let the Ghost Rider go to show giant burns on his head.
She glanced around as a few Ghost Riders surrounded her before she sighed and rolled her shoulder. She took a deep breath before throwing her hands out to the side making a large circle of fire shootout around her, burning a few Ghost Riders. All of the sudden the sound of a train honking made them look over to see the Ghost Rider train nearing.
"Scott!" Malia yelled making Scott look over at her and she tossed him a whip which he used to wrap around the diverter and pull. The tracks switched directions right before the train started heading outside of Beacon Hills. "No... No!" Douglas yelled and Avalon smirked, "You missed your train." She said before Scott turned around and let out a loud roar which could be heard in the Hunt.
Malia grabbed Avalon's hand as all The Ghost Riders surrounded the pack, pointing their guns at them. Lightning suddenly flashed a couple times and the Ghost Riders all put their guns away before walking past the group.
"Where are you going?" Douglas asked but all the Ghost Riders ignored him, "Stop! Zuruckkommen! Come back and kill them! Tote sie!" He yelled but was still ignored. "Call your army back..." Theo said making Douglas look at them, "Or don't they listen to you?" Theo asked and Douglas turned back to the Ghost Riders.
"I am your leader! Ich bin dein Anfuhrer! Obey me! Gehorcht mir!" Douglas yelled at the Ghost Riders stopped and slowly turned around making Douglas smirk in satisfaction. "Kill them- all of them. Tote sie. Tote sie." He said, turning back to the pack as the Ghost Riders started walking over.
But instead of walking over to the pack, the Ghost Riders surrounded Douglas, "Riders don't bow. They have no leader." Peter said. Lightning flashed a few times as Douglas slowly started looking more and more like a Ghost Rider. Lightning flashed again and when the Ghost Riders moved away from Douglas, he looked exactly like one of them. Only difference was he had a red Nazi patch around his arm.
He let out a loud screech before lightly stuck the ground and all the Ghost Riders disappeared and the storm clouds cleared up.

"Have a great summer, everyone." The teacher said as the final bell rang making Stiles frown, "No..." He said while Scott turned around to lightly tap Lydia's desk. "To the seniors, I'll see you at graduation." The teacher said and Stiles' frown deepened.
"No, no, no, no... That's it? What?" Stiles asked making Avalon chuckle while Scott smiled at them, "Last day ever!" He said and Stiles pouted. "Well, it just feels so anti-climactic." Stiles said and Lydia raised her eyebrows, "Well, there's the whole graduation thing." Lydia said and Malia nodded.
"I've gotta go to summer school, or I can't do the whole graduation thing." She said and Scott smiled and nodded. "Let's go." He said and they all got up and grabbed their stuff besides Stiles. "No. Come on, wait! Guys? This can't be it." Stiles said and then the lights shut off.

Avalon walked into Malia room before dropping a letter on her bed making her look up. It's been a couple months since school has ended. "What's this?" Malia asked as she grabbed the letter, "That's my acceptance letter to an art college in Paris." Avalon said making Malia raise her eyebrows.
"You're moving to Paris?" She asked and Avalon smirked before pulling something out of her pocket. "We're moving to Paris, next month." She said making Malia look at her shocked for a moment before getting up. She smiled at Avalon before grabbing her face and pulling her into a kiss.
