chapter 1959: a eleventh venerable is born!

surtr slowly opened his blazing red, orange, and golden eyes, and the world, and everything else felt completely different to him now. his ascension felt like a complete evolution and also an enlightenment.
his entire body completely changed, as he became hundreds of times larger than his original dragon size, his draconic form became more defined regal and both slim and muscular, packed with thick, metallic red scales.
he had six gigantic, scaled wings, two of them were covered in golden flames, another two with red fames, and the last two with orange flames.
with four muscular arms packed full of sharp metallic scales and even sharper black colored, blade-like claws, a fierce draconic head with countless sharp fangs, seven eyes, three to each side and the seventh being in the middle of them, and a beautiful crown made of golden horns above his head, the new fire dragon king was born.
the entire world, for a moment, felt like it had stopped! drake's battle against pandemonium paused, and even the venerable beneath, fighting both andromeda and everyone else stopped fighting as he glanced at the young dragon.
every person in the world saw it, a wave of red flames shaped like countless dragons. children around the world pointed at the sky while smiling in awe, as they saw thousands of dragons made of flames fly high in the blue sky.
and yggdrasil herself trembled, fate gained more cracks, but she wasn't upset either, just like with drake, surtr was a necessary pillar of the world, a righteous venerable that was born for the purpose of protecting it.
"you, the young dragon that ascended into a venerable through the sacrifice of thousands of fire dragon souls... are like no other."
surtr could hear yggdrasil's voice, as it echoed through the entire world.
"because of your unique powers and your unique ascension, i must give you a unique title."
his eyes glanced into the skies, as for a moment, he saw thousands of branches stretching through the entire sky.
"from now on, i hereby declare the birth of the eleventh venerable! the primordial origin flame dragon soul venerable, fire dragon king surtr!"
as her voice echoed through the world, surtr's ascendancy law ring activated, shining brightly behind his body, spinning around, as his aura activated.
"i-impossible...! this bastard really did it?!" the venerable thought, gritting his metaphoric teeth. "but his aura...! he cannot possibly copy my own law! only one law of fire can exist, so what is exactly his law?! and why does it feel so similar to mine, yet so different?!"
booommm!!!
his descent felt like a nuclear explosion, as his blazing eyes glared at the venerable while he was surrounded by his own flames, which constantly shaped like countless dragons.
"hah... hahahahaha!"
the venerable couldn't help but laugh as he saw surtr.
however, he wasn't laughing at him because he looked down on surtr or something.
in fact, a second ago he looked completely dumbfounded!
instead, he was laughing because he was completely awed.
he found the whole situation ridiculous!
"i truly did everything i could do to stop you and yet... i was unable to do so! is this the power of fate at work once more?! yggdrasil! so you truly intend to stop my resurrection! i knew i should've burned you to the ground, you damned tree!"
"savage sun flare venerable, i'll defeat you, no matter what!" surtr roared back at him. "yggdrasil has nothing to do with it! i was born to destroy you! and so i shall free this continent from your malice, forevermore!"
"hah?! you became strong and so what?! you're only a cheap copy of my fire law! i admire your strength and everything, but you clearly are simply someone gifted with power and resources by others, but what about your own efforts, surtr?! what have you ever accomplished on your own without your family doing it all for you?!"
"you're right, i am thankful about my family's sacrifice, and at the same time, i am quite sorrowful..." surtr nodded, although he was completely unmoved by his words. "but i will now show you just that. i will show you my power."
"come and try your luck then! hahahaha!"
the venerable laughed at surtr and mocked his resolve, as both titans clashed.
