chapter 1957: surtr's family 1

rumble!
the ground around the ruined inheritance building trembled, giant cracks opened
everywhere, the earth itself suddenly became alive. seas of molten rock surged from the floor, shaped like massive mountains that began erupting with fiery flames and meteors everywhere all across the surroundings.
at the same time, massive monsters rose from all the destruction, thousands of divine monsters that lived under the crust of the continent. they held all sorts of aberrant shapes, most of them were almost chimeric in appearance, roaring and monstrous.
"roooaarrr!"
monstrous beasts emerged by the tens of thousands, no, hundreds of thousands! most of the divine monsters were between rank 8 to rank 10, the fiercest and most monstrous of them all.
and amidst this endless awakening of a gigantic horde of monsters that could overrun entire continents, a group led by two fire giantesses ran across this infernal hell of roars and destruction.
"surtr! where are you?!"
"surtr! surtr!"
the two fire giant girls were nobody else than surtr's wives, the twins mina and nadia, whose large and tall bodies towered above most trees, letting them see vastly across the horizon.
when the whole explosion happened and the inheritance's internal space collapsed because of drake and pandemonium's clash, they were sent flying away, separated from surtr.
and now, these twins, leading jamar, the myconid hero, agni, the fire giant oracle and leona, his sister, ran across this infernal hell as they sought surtr, their leader.
"he's nowhere to be seen!" nadia said. "what the hell is going on?!"
"i don't know, but i felt his presence just now!" mina said. "he must be closer somewhere!"
"woah! w-what's that?!" jamar cried, pointing into the distance as he stood over nadia's left shoulder. "l-look!"
the little myconid's alarmed voice quickly put everyone in alarm as well, as they glanced into the skies, noticing a gigantic ring of red flames.
and surtr was floating within it, surrounded by thousands of souls that merged with it.
"t-that's... surtr!" mina cried.
"dear!" nadia muttered.
as they saw their husband floating above the skies, the ring suddenly flashed with bright crimson light, fusing into his own body and giving him tremendous power.
flaaash!
a huge explosion of red light erupted, covering the skies themselves. even the monsters chasing everyone suddenly stopped moving, as they were paralyzed by the might of this being.
a being that suddenly became the pillar of this world, just like that!
surtr himself!
"w-what did he do?!" agni asked. "lord surtr...! he... he absorbed that ring?!"
nadia gritted her teeth as she was being battered from every angle, only for her sister to leap into action, using her healing white dragon flames to heal her wounds and strengthen her
stats.
"sister! we must open the way for the rest to escape!" mina said. "once they get to surtr, he'll
come save us!"
"y-you're right!" nadia roared. "jamar, you have to-"
flaaash!
as they were filled with despair, suddenly, an explosion of golden divine flames emerged
from jamar.
"we're not running!"
slash! slash! slash! slash!
and out of nowhere, the little mushroom cut through the flesh of the blazing draconic beast,
killing it on the spot with his little sword!
"w-what the...!?"
"huh?!"
the two sisters were left speechless as they were unable to comprehend what just happened!
jamar was indeed strong, but not this strong!
until they saw him, within the little myconid's aura, it was surtr's appearance, his draconic
face, and his gentle smile.
"master surtr has not abandoned us!" jamar felt his power flowing through him. "his
ascension has only further deepened our bonds!"
flaaash!
and as he said that nadia, mina, agni, and leona felt their powers rising, as the classes that
surtr had given to them related to his own draconic powers ascended alongside him.
his evolved flames and his new powers flowed through their bodies, as new blazing armor
covered them, and their weapons were upgraded into stronger forms too!
they felt surtr's very soul and presence within them now.
