It was in the negatives, unfortunately in the last place for Gustavo Rocque to find a new singer and as for the LA born pop star Chloe Hart sat in the limo with the man wearing dozens of layers it seems nothing could help her beat the cold even with the heat on full blast in the limo as they finally arrived at the place they were going to scout for talent from and let's just say unlike the golden brown shade of tanned skinned Chloe usually had, her's was now turning pink, in the tiny town of Minnesota.
So when their assistant Kelly came running over to the limo opening the door, letting the cool air blow in Chloe winced as she threw her hood up and stepped one foot in front of the other to get out of the limo as Kelly gave her a hand Gustavo soon followed after the young girl getting out as well "Where am I and Why am I freezing?" he asked as Chloe shivered, feeling the cold winds pricking at her perfect skin "yeah, I second that?" she asked, looking around and wrapping her scarf more around her neck if it were even possible.
They began to walk "You're in Minnesota." Kelly informed them handing over their coffees, as Gustavo was about to yell out again to all the people standing outside, it made Chloe laugh or more so mumble as her teeth began to chatter "What's up, Minnesota?!" Gustavo yelled, as the crowd cheered, he quickly turned back to Chloe and Kelly "I hate all of them." he shared as Kelly huffed, they continued walking holding onto each other.
But when Chloe went to drink her coffee to try and warm up her body nothing came out of it, furrowing her brows, she started shaking it as it seemed the liquid had solidified as her eyes went wide "and the state for freezing my latte." Gustavo pointed out dumping his out of the cup and handing it to Kelly, where he then quickly took Chloe's doing the same "Also, I need a bigger coat." He added on as Chloe nodded her head, agreeing as the cups were discarded behind them "Yeah, no, I agree, I'm wearing three long sleeves, a scarf and a fur coat and I'm not getting any warmer." she informed them as her teeth continued to chatter, wrapping her arms around herself trying to stay warm, Kelly brought her arm around the girl, pulling her close to her.
"It's our last stop, So just focus and try not to make everybody cry, somewhere here is your next big star I can feel it." Kelly told Gustavo using hand motions as Chloe looked to her "Where can you feel it? In your toes? Cause I can't feel mine." She informed her in which Kelly looked at her and sighed as Gustavo yelled once more and they weren't even being tortured by people's horrible singing yet "I'm the star! And so is Chloe! What I need is a canvas with great hair that I can paint my pop on. I need a singing block of wood that I can set on fire, just like I did with Chloe who I have taught since she was five years old! So please tell me, where in, uh." He began thinking of where they were, as he looked all around.
"Minnesota." Kelly reminded him as Chloe went to pat him on the shoulder but slipped on the ice almost falling, making her scream as Kelly quickly caught her "Where in Minnesota is my fire?!" He asked, holding his hands up towards Chloe and Kelly's faces as Chloe turned to Kelly wondering the same thing cause she hadn't even been her five minutes and she already wanted to leave.
While all the way in a house, Four boys sat on a couch, groaning from just getting beat up from the looks of it, as Lay all your love on me from the movie, Mamma Mia, that Chloe Hart starred in was playing on the tv "Chloe Hart makes the pain go away." Kendall told the rest of the guys as they all seemed to agree, one way more than the others "I'm gonna marry her someday." James shared in a dreamy voice with no hesitation whats so ever.
"Your gonna marry Chloe Hart? How?" Logan asked turning to his very imaginative friend, as the rest began to protest against what was about to occur, while James got up and jumped onto the living room table "I'm gonna be famous, sing to sold out arenas, have, like, five houses, make the girls go crazy" he sang the last part doing a spin move, making his way back to the boys "and then marry Chloe." He finished putting his hands down to his sides.
"Are you done? Please be done." Logan begged as Kendall looked over to him "No, cause here's the part where I shake my booty." James shared as he jumped from the table and onto the couch, beginning to sing once more "I'm gonna be famous, Gonna marry Chloe." He continued on, doing a little dance at the same time "Carlos!" Kendall called out, wanting this over with as his friend seemed to understand sticking on his helmet "Got it. Uhh!" He roared, managing to flip James over the couch, both boys fighting as Kendall and Logan laughed as the tv changed from the music video to a man speaking.
"Do you want to be a pop star?" The news anchor questioned whoever else was watching as James quickly popped up from behind the couch "yes!" he voiced like the man was gonna respond to him "Well, today's your chance if you're in Minnesota. Are you ready?" the news anchor asked through the tv as James climbed over the couch "I'm in Minnesota." James continued to respond to the man, as some girl on the tv began screaming, towards the camera.
"I'm gonna be the next Gwen Stefani!" The girl yelled out as the boys watched the tv "That's Jenny Tinkler from homeroom." Kendall pointed out standing up as the others followed "Gustavo Rocque, nineties mega producer of bands like boy quake, Boyz in the attic and Boyz city is looking for his next pop superstar to sing alongside everyone's favorite teen pop sensation Chloe Hart. But he's even more famous for his quote in "rolling stone" when he said. I could turn a dog into a pop star." the news anchor shared as James then began hitting each of his friends "I sing better than a dog." he informed them like they didn't already know.
"Signs ups are until 5pm, so if pop star is on your list of things to do.." the news anchors voice got quieter as the boys stopped listening, looking towards the clock seeing it was almost five they panicked "Call all moms now." Kendall told them all as they all reached for their phones "Mom, call me when you get this message. We need a ride real bad." All of them spoke at the same time, putting they're phones down and sitting, waiting for someone's phone to ring.
"Ring!" James yelled, which wasn't gonna do anything to help as someone's cell phone in the pile began ringing, which made all of them freak out as they grabbed for the ringing phone and Carlos was the one to grab it as they all stood on the couch waiting for what he had to say "Hello. Yeah. Uh huh. Ok. Great. Get here as fast as you can." Carlos told whoever was on the other end then hung up the phone and from the way he sounded James got excited "your moms coming!" he yelled out, hoping he got a ride "No, but this nice lady's sending her crew over to give us a free estimate on aluminum siding." Carlos revealed as the boys all locked at him in shock.
"Aah!" James yelled as he knocked Carlos over the couch this time, beginning to fight once more. Kendall and Logan watching, as things began to be thrown and that got Logan's attention "Kendall!" He called out, wanting him to stop the other two as Kendall rushed over to Logan's side "Logan has a learners permit." he reminded them, seeming to have interrupted the fighting as James and Carlos looked to them instead "But I need an adult in the car with me and a car." Logan reminded Kendall, and everyone else which didn't help as James dropped Carlos "Kendall, do something." he begged shaking the lamp he had in his grasp.
"What are you looking at me for? Logan's the genius." Kendall motioned to Logan as he stared at James "What I panic under pressure and then you always come up with the answer." Logan told him, as everyone looked to Kendall "What? That is so not true, and... I know how to get there." Kendall shared with them as he had come up with a plan.
And while this was going on a women was singing at a real high pitch as Gustavo, Kelly and Chloe watched her "And I'm so in love with you." in which they had been sitting there for so long and still managing to find no actual talent, where along the way somebody asked Chloe if they could smell her hair which security then quickly took them away and right now made Chloe's ears hurt as she squinted her eyes "Your singing makes me wanna dance. Off a cliff! Next!" Gustavo yelled out and he wasn't wrong, please anybody else.
The next guy picked a song which words were only thunder and he kept moving the mic and moving his head "Next!" Chloe and Gustavo yelled to the weird man as the next guy wasn't any better as he played air drums and kept saying how he loved life as Gustavo banged his hands against the table, Chloe was leaning her head back starting to get bored "get off the stage!" Gustavo yelled.
As the next person was just doing weird bird calls, as Chloe turned her head to the left trying to understand why, as Gustavo squeezed the lid off of his coffee, the next guy was just yelling, as Chloe was holding her ears, Kelly held her hand against her forehead, while Gustavo pulled something out from behind him which was shockingly a rocket launcher, Chloe looked over at him with wide eyes as she removed her hands from her ears, reaching for the rocket launcher Gustavo kept pulling away as Kelly joined her, seeing it was no use the two of them yelled "Next!"
To where there was now a literal dog just barking on stage which was not bad compared to everyone else "that's actually the best singing we've heard all day." Gustavo shared with them as Chloe agreed shaking her head as they both yelled "next!" where the next few people were just wailing or something along those lines, as Chloe had gotten so bored she had redone her nails "listen here, sister that's the worst singing I've ever heard in my life!" Gustavo yelled to the nun, which Chloe raised her brows since he wasn't wrong in which Kelly looked to the two of them "You know these people have feelings right." she asked as the two turned in her direction.
"Oh, neat, guess what I have. 29' platinum records! I don't need feelings, except for Chloes but besides the point! What I need is the guy the record company paid me a million dollars to find to make my fire, and if you and I do not find him or her, Chloe we'll be moved to another recoding studio and we're fired! Keep walking! Don't stop at the microphone just keep walking! And Goodbye." He yelled, freaking out "don't worry. Signups are until five." Kelly tried to comfort all of them but as she looked at her watch it didn't help "and it's only one minute till five." she informed them as Gustavo began to yell, Chloe turned and grabbed Kelly by the shoulders and started to shake her "don't make me go!" she yelled as Kelly's eyes went wide.
In which Kelly soon went out to check on who else could be waiting to become the next star or the fire according to Gustavo this girl came on stage and she wasn't that good, and as Chloe and Gustavo were about to yell at her to get off the stage, she jumped towards them "Ahh." Chloe screamed, trying to get her off as the young girl grabbed her foot "Oh my gosh, no I wanted to be a pop star, like you!" She began yelling and pulling on her shoe "Your crazy! and you're not taking my shoe!" Chloe informed her starting to kick back while Gustavo was yelling, he held onto Chloe as he pulled her back into her seat while security quickly picked the girl up off the floor and out the doors as she continued to complain.
And while Gustavo was helping Chloe fix her hair, Kelly came back in telling them they had more people as this boy soon came in and began beatboxing into the mic, which was different but then Gustavo did the beat box sound and yelled "stop! Stop it forever." in which the boy looked at them confused "Uh, I just started."' he told them seeming a little nervous as Chloe put her head in her hands "and now you're finished, but I'm not because I wanna tell you what else you are! Get back here! I have bad words, and I wanna use them on you." Gustavo was still yelling as the boy exited, which made Chloe shake her head.
Then the next boy came in who was very different then the others as he pointed to security and grabbed the mic making weird owl sounds as Chloe and Gustavo got confused, he then farted into the Mic and before he could even do it again Chloe and Gustavo began to climb over the table towards the boy as Kelly struggled to hold them back. Then the next boy walked in and he looked promising "Well, he's not hideous." Gustavo pointed out which made Chloe send him a duh, look. And as he began to sing he wasn't that bad. But what they didn't know were that the friends who they had met were hiding behind them.

I tell a joke or two

Deep inside, I know
He then went a little pitchy at the end and Chloe could feel Gustavo tense up as the boy coughed, he was good but he slipped up, Gustavo was gonna yell, as Chloe tried to send him a reassuring smile "Stop. Stop." Gustavo told him, which made Chloe upset, he was one of the good ones and they don't have many options left "I'm sorry, I got a little nervous there. Can I start over?" the boy questioned and Chloes eyes went wide knowing that those were words Gustavo didn't like "Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Start over. Why don't you, uh, go outside and then just don't come back in, okay? Next!" Gustavo yelled at the boy, as Chloe began to nervous laugh.
"Ha ha, Gustavo, we don't have any more options and this seems like the right one." Chloe nudged the man beside her but he didn't care "But I'm good." The boy told him, which made Chloe's eyes go wide, knowing nobody says that to Gustavo "I don't need good. I need the fire, ok? I need someone to knock me out of my seat, and as you can tell, I'm still in it, because you have no talent!" Gustavo yelled at the boy who started to look sad as Chloe mouthed an apology which seemed to make the boy freeze, Chloe furrowed her brows seeing she didn't help as someone behind them began yelling which made the girl turn her head.
"No talent?! No talent?!" Some guy who they hadn't seen before came up to them and even though he was yelling Chloe was intrigued to say the least "you're the one with no talent, you haven't had a hit in 10 years, oh wait my bad actually you do, but she's more of a stuck up, Hollywood pop princess, just like the rest of them."' he spoke out, which made Chloe look at him in shock, who does he think he is, he doesn't even know her "Hey, girl to my heart by boy quake was a hit 9 years ago and you don't even know her!" Gustavo yelled at the boy, as Chloe sat their fuming, she was none of those things.
"Oh, girl to my heart, let me see if I can remember that rock classic." the boy told them as he began to sing, seeming to know all the words for someone acting like they didn't.
"Girl, my eyes,
And, girl, my mind,
He then jumped up on the table, getting in Gustavos face which made Chloe lean back further.
"It never stops after it starts,
He then did a cool spin move which intrigued her but then he turned to her instead of Gustavo which made her angry.

He got really close to her face which if Chloe wasn't so annoyed she probably wouldn't have minded but that was the last straw for her, as Kelly called for security yet before they could make there way over Chloe slammed her hands on the table "that's it!" she yelled, getting out of her seat and jumping for the boy taking him down to the floor, the two began rolling around as security quickly arrived and began pulling them off each other in which when they did as Chloe blew hair out of her face "I am not a pop princess ok, you don't even know me!" She told him as they held eye contact with each other and another voice broke through.
"Omg her eyes actually sparkle like what the magazine articles said." Carlos's voice rung out from where he was with Logan as he looked to his friend "Believe me, I saw her also a few minutes ago while I was up.." but when they actually saw the girl staring at Kendall they saw her in a different light "okay maybe she can be that pretty in person." and as everything calmed down the security guard let go of Chloe and stood there but when the other one let the boy go he turned to Gustavo "Hey here's a new hit for you." And he began dancing once more making Chloe shake her head.
"Oh, you're such a turd,
Oh, yeah, a giant turd,

And you smell like a turd
And the security guard who let him go minutes ago grabbed onto him once more as the one from behind grabbed him as well dragging him away, he was still singing. Chloe couldn't help but laugh over this guys stupid song and dance move choices as Kelly saw the gleam in the young girls eye "Hey, get off me. Come on. Get off me." He began fighting the guards, which at this point didn't surprise Chloe, but what did was the boy from before running out of know where and jumping on the security guards, as another one from before ran up to help and the one on the stage soon joined in "Well, you don't see this everyday." Chloe mumbled to herself as chaos broke out as Gustavo was trying to come over to the fight as Kelly held him back and an old lady soon came out with her cane towards the boys and security.
Soon Chloe, Gustavo and Kelly all made the decision on who they wanted to come with them to Los Angeles. Which was why they were standing out in the cold in front of the boys house, who impressed all three of them. Ringing the door bell you could hear singing from inside as it got closer.
"Oh, your such a turd,
oh, yeah, a giant turd
And you look like a turd.."
And before the door opened Kelly sighed "there singing that song again?" And Chloe laughed "I literally just got it out of my head!" And Gustavo looked to both of them as the door opened and the boys screamed as Gustavo waved.
"Yes! I knew you'd come back for me." The one who actually sang on stage came running out, hugging Gustavo as Kelly moved Chloe out of the way to protect her "I'm not here for you" Gustavo pushed him off, "I'm here for him" and as he pointed to the one, they all chose, all the boys stared at them "what?!"
"I'll make some tea." A woman yelled from inside, which made Chloe put her hands together and look up to the sky "Thank you."
It wasn't long till they all were inside sitting around the living room drinking are tea "Mrs. Knight, I wanna take your family to Los Angeles and produce some demo tracks with Kendall." Gustavo pointed to him as Kelly and Chloe stood behind him.
"You can't be serious." Kendall questioned them as Chloe looked at him "of course, were serious." But before she could continue a little girl brought a bunch of stuff to her "can you sign this poster of you?" She questioned as Chloe hesitated "yeah, sure, as long as you don't sell it on the internet?" And as she signed Kelly continued.
"It'll take three months. We'll take care of your expenses." Kelly explained to them hoping they'd understand and there was just silence "Kendall,!you have a gift. You have the fire, you also have anger management issues, but as you've seen so does Chloe." Which made Chloe shrug her shoulders "Some people say I have anger management issues, but I also have five houses!" He told Kendall as James started to sing.
"People say I'm the life of the party.."
"Stop it. Please. Don't ever do that again." Gustavo told him as Chloe finally finished signing everything.
"Kendall, we've traveled to 22 cities. We've auditioned over 20,000 people, and Gustavos picked you." Kelly told him as Gustavo and Chloe made hand motions towards him.
"But I'm not a singer." He told us which made Chloe furrow her brows "You sing all the time in the car, at the table. You sing to me when I can't sleep at night." Katie told everyone as Chloe looked to him.
"So, you do sing, hmm." She stared at him as he looked at her "No, I don't." He told everyone "Yes, you do, honey." His mom told him, which made Chloe smile.
"When you shovel the driveway. When you answered the door 2 minutes ago." Katie continued as Chloe nodded her head at the last one still having that song in her head.
"But that's not singing." He told us all, which made Chloe scuff "Yes, it is, honey." His mom informed him once again.
"And he's always singing along to the nineties channel or that one song that..." and before she could finish that sentence, her brother covered her mouth.
"Katie!" He yelled, his sister was giving away all his secrets, which made Chloe giggle as the boy got more frustrated "So, what do you say, kiddo, huh, wanna come go out to L.A and be molded and shaped into a big old star by The Gustavo Rocque? Ha ha." Gustavo asked and Chloe was hoping he'd say yes as she crossed her fingers behind her back.
"No." He told them blankly after looking at everyone and soon Gustavo broke hit tea cup as Chloe fainted "oh my god." Kelly quickly going to check on the girl as Carlos began to laugh uncontrollably.
"I'm gonna need to take a minute. I'm gonna need to take a minute right now." He then got up and walked outside, as Kelly stood up from the young girl beginning to count her money as everyone looked to the young girl "She's umm, fine, It's for the teacup." Putting down the money as she sighed "and the planter outside." Then more stuff began to break as Chloe got up, "heres my card, if you change your mind, call." She then turned to see Chloe standing "oh, thank god." She handed her a water as she began to drink it "you should think about this, Kendall. We leave tomorrow at two." Kelly told him and then they headed out.
