Three years later
Everything seems dull around him as eighteen-year-old Jimin gets ready for the court. It's been three years, and he didn't only lose his husband but his in-laws too. Beopheung and Taehyung couldn't accept their son's death, and one day they left the palace. Months of searching, and they found out the couple had committed suicide. Jimin had seen how his in-laws will to live had vanished, even though he tried to help them but he couldn't able to.
Everyone in the kingdom knew the prince is no more but Jimin couldn't accept his husband's death; even the mating mark around his neck had faded, indicating his alpha is no more.
But he held onto hope that one day he would reunite with his alpha. He couldn't die like his in-laws because he had promised Jungkook he would run this empire; the kingdom is his now, and its citizens are his family.
Jimin was getting ready for court when he heard the knock. He indicates the helper to let the person in, and Yeonjun enters the room with Jinha.
"What brought you here, eomma and eomma-nim?"
Jimin asks, looking at them. Jinha sighs, looking at his once cheerful son, now an omega with no expression.
"The wedding dates are fixed for the next month."
Yeonjun said, and Jimin's jaw clenched as he looked at the both omegas.
"How many times do I have to tell you, I'm not marrying your son? My mate is alive, and he will come back for me."
Jimin yelled, and Yeonjun clenched his fist.
"Your mating mark is no more; that's mean Jungkook is no more. Why you're still so stubborn. My son is ready to accept you even though you're a widow, yet you're not accepting him."
Yeonjun said, his jaw clenching. Even though his father has already killed Jungkook, this stubborn omega is not ready to accept the news. He should have presented the alphaâs head for Jimin to believe him.
"Don't say any nonsense. My heart says my alpha is alive. I will not mate anyone, who's not my alpha, find someone else for your son."
Jimin said, having enough of Yeonjun and his mother pressuring him to marry the alpha.
"See, Jinha I'm saying it for his benefit, but your son is so stubborn. If he marries Taemin, then my son can protect him. You don't know, but our enemies are looking for opportunities to get hold of him. You knew if the enemy mated him, then the whole empire would belong to his new mate. But if Taemin mates him, then we don't have to fear anyone else taking the empire. Beside, it'll change your son's life. He would have a mate, pups, which Jungkook wasn't able to provide."
Yeonjun said, and Jimin growled, his omega surfacing and holding Yeonjun's neck in hard grasp.
"How dare you to think about I'll mate someone else who's not my alpha? You b*tch, listen here. I'll always belong to Jungkook, even after his and mine deaths."
Jiminâs omega warned before releasing Yeonjun's neck harshly, whose tears falling endlessly as he struggled to breathe.
Jinha was shocked to see this new behavior of her son, but she couldn't say anything. With one last glare at Yeonjun, Jimin walks out of the chamber, heart heavy after hearing nonsense from the older omega.
