Dejun woke up in his bed and couldn't move. He tried to get up, but there was something restraining him, although he could not see what it was as the bedsheets covered his body. He kicked whatever was near him as a safety measure/warning only to get a groan in response.
He recognised that voice immediately.
'Cuddling is cute and that, but you know what is cuter? Being able to breathe.' He kicked the person who was hugging him from behind tightly again.
'Stop being so mean~' Kunhang complained.
He released Dejun from his grip, he stretched and the first thing he did was check his phone.
Dong Sicheng: There's something weird in my lab... [just now]
Dong Sicheng: Can you come, please? [just now]
'Did Sicheng send you a message too?' Dejun asked, to which Kunhang nodded. 'He sent me a message a few minutes ago saying there's something odd in his lab and we should check it.'
'He sent me one now. He must be desperate because you didn't answer.' Kunhang said.
They both left their room, still in their pajamas as they were too lazy to change. Plus, they just wanted to check what Sicheng was talking about, they would go have breakfast after solving whatever Sicheng's problem was and then change for more professional clothes.
The door of Sicheng's lab was wide open. However, no one was there.
'Sicheng?' Kunhang was the first one to talk.
They both walked around, and while they were searching for Sicheng or that so called weird thing, something made a loud noise. It sounded like someone had just broken a glass.
'Sicheng is going to be mad at you if you go there breaking his stuff, you know?' Dejun commented.
'It wasn't me this time, I swear!' Kunhang said in defense, raising both his hands to show Dejun he had clearly done nothing.
Dejun raised an eyebrow.
What the hell is happening?
'Guys? What are you doing here?' It was Sicheng.
The three guys looked at each other, clear confusion in their faces.
'You sent us a message saying you needed us a while ago.' Dejun said, his mind alarming as things weren't making sense.
'No, I didn't... I don't have my phone. When I woke up this morning it wasn't there...' Sicheng argued. He was standing in front of the doorframe, looking at Dejun and Kunhang with wide eyes. 'Do-'
Right before he could speak, a hand pushed him inside the lab harshly, making him stumble, and slammed the door shut. They all heard the door being locked from the outside and something placed in front of it to block the exit completely.
However, what alarmed Dejun the most was hearing the ventilation system being closed.
What kind of sick joke is this?
Sicheng turned around to face the door, trying to unlock it or push it with his body. Dejun climbed on the table and stood on his tippy toes to reach one of the ventilation ducts and try to open it.
'Dejun, you've always had a tail?'
'What the hell are you saying, Kunhang?' Dejun turned around to find Kunhang staring at his ass like he'd been hypnotised.
His eyes them stared at nowhere, and his mouth started muttering nonsense.
'Dejun, what if I get you pregnant?' Kunhang asked, talking to a cabinet.
'But male is a pregnant, he can't get Dejun.' Intervened Sicheng, who'd definitely given up on unlocking the door.
Dejun's nose sensed a strange smell in the air. He got off the table and crouched down, looking around the floor. He finally spotted a broken bottle next to the table's leg. He crawled towards it and took a closer look. There was a substance that had originally been into that bottle and now was all over the floor and evaporating at a fast pace in the air. He dipped his finger in it and smelt it.
Hallucinogen.
His head started spinning. His vision became slightly blurry and everything seemed to move in a weird way. His head hurt and all the noises he heard seemed to make no sense but at the same time they were full sentences. He saw Yukhei in front of him and Dejun threw a punch against him.
'Ow!' Yukhei protested. Somehow, his voice wasn't Yukhei's. He sounded more like... Kunhang?
Yangyang sighed in relief after pushing Sicheng into the lab and locking the door. He was thankful Jisung had appeared to drag a whole drawer in front of the door so that it was impossible to escape without external help.
They heard footsteps coming from downstairs and a panting Chenle came to their view.
'All the information about us has been deleted and both Kun and Chittaphon are sleeping.' He informed, to which the other two responded by nodding proudly.
They headed towards Dejun's lab, where the vampire was. Jisung raised his fist and smashed the password keyboard with a single punch. Then, he took a step back and kicked the door open with his right leg.
Chenle giggled at the sight, it was such a psycho thing to do, but what could he do? Having a vampire boyfriend had its perks.
Boyfriend? Is he my...
What are we?
A hand waving in front of his face made him wake up from his trance. He came back to reality and followed Yangyang and Jisung inside the lab.
'Have some fun.' Yangyang said, looking at Jisung.
Jisung nodded, and he turned around to look at everything. There were a lot of dangerous looking things, but that just made the whole thing more exciting. He started by emoting a shelf with his hand, dropping on the floor every single object and making sure to step on the pieces that remained intact. He punched a cabinet open, breaking the glass and yeeting it's contents across the room, making sure none of it would hurt Yangyang or Chenle. Glass was funny. It was loud when it broke, it was so fragile he could break some just with his pinky finger. Its sharp edges would cut human skin perfectly, but to a vampire that was just ticklish.
He let out all the frustration he'd been accumulating for the past days against Dejun's table, snapping it in half with his elbow. He crushed the products he found there and poured the liquids all over the papers that had once been nicely organised. Finally, he took the computer that was on a desk and slammed it against a cabinet that contained weapons and torture instruments.
While Jisung was creating as much chaos as he could, the two humans opened the cage their friend was locked in and dragged his body out of it. Yangyang looked worried, he knew Yukhei hadn't moved at least since last night.
'Whether he's dead or alive we have to get him out of here. Plus, it's not like we have the knowledge to cure him or anything...' Chenle said, urging Yangyang not to lose more time staring at the vampire.
Yangyang nodded and proceeded to, altogether with Chenle, place the large body in a bag. He, for the first time, felt gross. They'd kept innumerable corpses in there, most of them of vampires they'd treated like worthless animals before dying. Once the bag was closed with the body inside, they called Jisung to stop being a hurricane and carry the heavy bag instead.
They were about to leave, their mission was almost completed successfully. However, they didn't notice a couple of eyes witnessing their every action.
'You three. Stop right here.'
Fuck.
