'J-ji?' Chenle opened his eyes slowly, feeling dizzy. He rubbed his eyes as his vision became more clear.
'Chenle, you're awake.'
He was expecting to see Jisung. However, he was met with another pair of eyes instead.
'Kun? Why am I here?' They were in Chenle's room. He was laying on his bed and Kun was next to him.
'We saved you from the vampires. How are you feeling?' He handed him a glass of water.
Chenle drank to soothe his dry throat.
'I'm... fine.'
A part of him somehow wished he wasn't saved.
Why am I like this? That's such a crazy thing to wish, Chenle.
'Where are the rest?' He asked. He wanted to get up, but Kun prevented him from doing so.
'Do not move. You look so skinny. Did those vampires even feed you?'
'Kun, where are Yangyang and Yukhei?'
'Eat a little, you will-'
Chenle attempted to get up, but as soon as he did so his head started spinning again and he lost balance. Kun held him and laid him back on the bed.
'You should rest for a bit. The vampires drugged you and that's bad for your body.'
'But I want to see Yangyang and Yukhei...'
Those words made the older sigh.
'Fine. Stay here. I'll ask Yangyang to come.' Kun left the room, leaving Chenle alone for a while.
All of a sudden, he felt something wet on his cheeks. It didn't take long for him to realise he was crying. He wiped his tears, but his cheeks were soaked again seconds after.
Why... Why am I crying?
In seconds, he became a sobbing mess. Somehow, tears wouldn't stop coming out of his eyes. He felt a stab on the heart and a weight on his lungs that didn't let him breathe properly.
What's wrong with me? Shouldn't I be happy? I'm here, with Kun, Yangyang, Yukhei and the others. Why does it hurt so much? Why do I feel like something is missing?
He kept asking himself all those questions, but deep inside he knew the answer for all of them.
Jisung...
Chenle you incoherent piece of shit. You literally told him you hated him, yet you still have the audacity to miss him! What's your fucking problem?! He literally kidnapped you, he is obsessed with you! He is crazy!

He's crazy for loving you, but you're even crazier for loving him back.
How? How could you fall for your kidnapper? How could you fall for a vampire? How could you fall for a monster?

I hurt so many vampires telling myself I did that to protect my people, the ones I cared for the most. But... isn't that what he did too?

'Chenle?' His thoughts were interrupted by a very familiar voice. He raised his head to look up and met eyes with Yangyang. He opened his arms wide and Yangyang threw himself on Chenle's arms immediately. 'I missed you...'
Chenle mumbled a quiet 'I missed you too' as he let the tears flow out freely, staining Yangyang's shirt. When they broke the hug he looked at the older.
'Where's Yukhei?'
Yangyang suddenly went quiet. He avoided Chenle's gaze, making the younger suspect something had happened.
'Yangyang... where is Yukhei?'
'You should be grateful, Jisung, I got rid of the human who caused the most trouble in your life.'
The younger gritted his teeth. Taeyong was right. It was the best for him. Yet, something inside of him didn't want to admit it.
'For fuck's sake... Will you stop crying over him?' Taeyong groaned in annoyance. He was so done with the younger dehydrating because of a simple human. 'You've been chasing after him for so long, but he's NEVER reciprocated your feelings. Don't cry, you look so fucking weak and pathe-'
Smack.
Doyoung smacked his head as hard as he could to make Taeyong shut up.
'Stop being so harsh on the kid. You're not even his father.'
'Am I wrong though?' Taeyong rolled his eyes.
'Yes you are. Crying is not weak nor pathetic. Why don't you try to suggest a solution instead of making the kid's problem worse?'
Taeyong wanted to talk back, but he decided to bite his tongue instead. Doyoung could get really savage when they argued.
'Okay, fine. Jisung, stop loving Chenle.'
'Wow, really? I NEVER thought of that. You're a real genius. Is your IQ 1000?' The younger spat back.
Taeyong slammed his first against the table's surface and groaned.
'Okay, leave that to me. Taeyong get out you need some fresh air.'
Despite Doyoung's words, Taeyong didn't move an inch.
'I said, you need some fresh air.' Doyoung smiled threateningly as he pushed the older, urging him to get off the chair.
Jaehyun saw the pure blooded had no intentions of leaving, so he approached him and dragged him outside by the arm.
'Alright. First of all let me apologize for Taeyong's... salty behaviour. He's just frustrated because he feels you aren't appreciating his efforts.'
Jisung mumbled 'it's fine' so that Doyoung could continue.
Before they could keep talking, Jaemin and Jeno showed up. Jaemin said something in Jeno's ear and the pure blooded pouted and left. Jaemin sat on the chair next to Jisung's.
'Sorry for keeping you here before, we just couldn't let you go with them. It was the best for you and for everyone else.'
Jisung understood that, and wasn't mad at Jaemin nor Jeno. He knew Taeyong was actually right when he called him a nuisance.
