Chapter 33: XXXI

Kun walked through the crime scene, judge Kang's house. There was blood everywhere. Kang's corpse was mutilated, though not as much as his husband and son's.

Kang was missing both eyes, his mouth was frozen into a silent yell. He was pinned to the wall, with knives pierced through his hands and stomach keeping his corpse in a crucified position.

Under each arm, he had a letter painted with blood on the wall. T and Y.

Kang's husband was barely identifiable, just as their son's. Their corpses were cut into pieces and scattered all over the living room, creating a terrific scenario painted in red.

Chittaphon observed the wall.

TY

TY

TY...

He wasn't dumb, those letters meant either that the murderer wanted to be credited for his job or there would be more victims. Or maybe both.

Jisung was walking through the school hallways, thinking of a certain human that wandered in his mind way too often. He didn't realise where he was going until someone bumped into him.

He was hoping for that someone to be Chenle, but as he looked at the student that was now on the floor he realised his prayers weren't listened.

'Oh, Jisung! I was searching for you! We aren't really close, but I'm throwing a party tonight and I was wondering if you'd want to come! Everyone is invited!'

Jisung was going to refuse, until an idea popped into his mind.

'Sure! Can I bring a friend with me?'

'Yeah! Everyone is welcome. It will be held at my house, 8pm. See you there!'

Jisung wanted to ask for his name, but it was already late as the student had already walked away, inviting other people on his way.

Jisung knew he had to protect his Chenle. He had to. That human needed him. He knew it. He was constantly spying on Chenle, looking after him, protecting him.

He was careful not to show himself, he always made sure the older was looking the other way every time he moved closer to admire his features.

He didn't know what got into him the moment he saw him.

He's so precious.

Jisung knew the poor human was defenseless. He could easily be taken advantage of, just like the other day when he had to save him from an unknown man.

The vampire saw a human approach Chenle. He was way too close to his baby for his liking. He saw the look the guy gave him as they talked. He had feelings for his baby.

Jisung couldn't allow that. What if Chenle liked that human back and then got his heart broken? Or what if the human pretended to like him and dumped him after having sex? No... humans don't have sex when they're so young... But what if when Chenle and that human grow up they had sex and Chenle got dumped? Or what if the human cheated on Chenle? What if... What if...

Jisung's mind was going crazy. There were so many bad things that could happen to his baby... That's why Chenle needed him. And he needed to be close to Chenle in order to protect him. Protect him from the world, because the world was too dangerous for his little Chenle.

He was so immersed in his thoughts he didn't realise he was following that human he so despised. In no time that human was... no longer a human. But a corpse.

Jisung's eyes widened as he saw the blood on his hands. He snapped back to reality and realised there was a corpse in front of him... and his head wasn't connected to his body.

He kicked the corpse and hid it behind a few containers in panick and ran back home. Tears were staining his face as he felt the sticky liquid on his hands.

Luckily, his baby Chenle wasn't there to witness the bloody scene.

Just as he was about to get into his house, he bumped into his brother.

'C-Channie!'

Chenyeol saw his little brother hyperventilating and sobbing, it broke his heart.

'Jisung, what happened?'

'I-I don't know... I- I lost control and- the corpse- blood- I killed him- I messed up so badly, hyung!'

Chanyeol saw the blood in his brother's hands and took Jisung's arm softly. They went inside their house. He helped Jisung wash his hands and change his clothes. Jisung splashed some water on his face to calm down.

'I-I killed a boy... It was an accident... I don't know what got into me... I just... I suddenly saw a corpse in front of me and...'

'Jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisuuuuuuuuuuung!'

A voice snapped Jisung to reality. He hadn't realised he was so lost in his memories that he didn't even pay attention to the teacher. Class was over and Chenle had approached him when he saw him staring blankly at the blackboard.

'It isn't time to think of your boyfriend, Sungie. Class is over. Are we having a study session today?'

Jisung blushed.

'I don't have a boyfriend! And... About the study session... A guy invited me to a party and...'

'Oh... You're gonna dump me to go party, I see...' Chenle sighed dramatically as he pouted.

'No! I mean, I was going to ask you to... you know... maybe... maybe you could... uhm...'

'Maybe I could..?'

'Do you want to come with me to the party?'

'But I wasn't invited.'

'I asked him if you could come and he said yes.'

'Huh?'

'I-I mean I didn't ask him specifically if you could come but I asked him if someone else could come with me and-'

'Yeah yeah, I get it. Okay fine. We'll skip our study session to go to that party. Where and when?'

'It's at his house, this evening.'

'Where does he live?'

'Uhm...'

'Well, we can ask someone else for the directions. Who's hosting the party?'

'Eh...'

'You don't even know-'

'I'm sorry, I forgot to ask!'

Chenle's dolphin laugh pierced through  Jisung's eardrums as he was being laughed at for not knowing whose party were they supposed to go to. It was so contagious Jisung couldn't help but to laugh with him as well.
