Renjun was awoken by the annoying sound of his alarm. He turned it off and proceeded to change his clothes. After his morning routine he got out of his room and went upstairs, where Kun was making breakfast.
The oldest ate quickly and left the table set for the others to have breakfast later. Renjun sat on a chair and waited until the other three guys showed up.
'Yukhei stopp.'
'Ahh Yangyangie why are you so grumpy today?'
'Ugh I just didn't sleep well... Yukhei!'
The taller male ran upstairs carrying Yangyang in the least delicate way possible. He was bent over his shoulder trying to get off him without falling downstairs, hitting Yukhei's back for him to let him go. Yukhei spanked his ass playfully and once he got to the kitchen he dropped him. Yangyang kicked Yukhei before hitting the floor making them both fall over.
Chenle was so distracted checking his phone he didn't realise there were two males on the floor blocking the way, so he tripped and fell on top of them letting out a 'wOoOoOoAH' that inevitably made Renjun let out a giggle.
Chenle pushed the two males away and got up making sure his phone wasn't harmed. The other two got up right after laughing at him.
'What? Chatting with your boyfriend?'
Chenle smacked both of them with a blush on his cheeks to make them shut up.
The breakfast went by peacefully, they ate and tidied everything up right after.
'Yukhei, did you take your meds?' Yangyang reminded the taller.
'Yeah, don't worry.'
Renjun was curious, so he asked what they were for.
'Because he's bipolar.' Said the youngest.
'Chenle, he's not and you know. He has a dissociative identity disorder.'
'Meh, same thing.'
'It's not the same!'
While Yangyang and Chenle were discussing Yukhei's previous cheerful expression changed to a totally cold one.
Yangyang chose to ignore the younger and keep telling Renjun about Yukhei's meds.
'He has multiple identities and he has to take those medicines in order not to lose control. It's not bipolarity.' He glanced at Chenle. 'Bipolarity is when a person has sudden changes of mood. He doesn't have mood changes, there just happens to be different people inside his head.'
Renjun nodded and watched Yukhei leave the room. It was quite understandable, they were talking about him like he wasn't right there.
The day went by slowly for Chenle, school was boring. He was older than almost all of his classmates, guys his age were already going to the university that was right next to his school.
Why? You might ask. Well, Chenle didn't go to school for some years, but since education was compulsory he had to go to school now. He wasn't the only one, some other students had to go through the same.
Classes finally ended and he headed to the library, where Jisung was waiting for him. He sat on a chair next to the younger and opened the textbook.
He was about to start explaining the lesson when...
...Jisung kissed him.
On the lips, softly. Carefully cupping his cheeks and moving his lips slowly, like he was a delicate doll made of glass. Chenle kissed him back, heartbeat accelerating as he felt warmth cloud his mind.
Then, he came back to his senses. He pushed the younger away.
'W-why'd you do that?'
Jisung blushed.
'Y-you told me to...'
Chenle's face was a poem. When did he ask Jisung to kiss him?
'Y-you sent me a message yesterday...'
Jisung took out his phone and showed the younger:
Chenle â¨
Hey, are we going to
study tomorrow?
Only if u kiss me first ;)
???
yeah see you tomorrow
Yukhei, you hoe...
Chenle thought. It was already decided, as soon as he came back he would smack the taller so hard he'd see stars.
Chittaphon went to Sicheng's lab to talk to him. He knocked on the door softly and opened it, walking in right after.
'The essence you made works pretty well. Congratulations.'
'O-oh thanks ...what did you do?'
'I sprayed some on and...'
'You became a lure yourself??? That's dangerous...'
'Yeah, don't worry. I trust your skills in making those chemicals.'
'gUYS DID YOU SEE THE KNIVES I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK???' A panting Kunhang barged in. His voice made both Sicheng and Chittaphon's ears hurt.
'They must be in your lab. Did you check everywhere?' Chittaphon knew Kunhang was so forgetful.
'HELL YEAH I DID. I SWEAR, I LEFT THEM ON THE TABLE AND THEY'RE NOT THERE ANYMORE.'
Kunhang dragged them to his lab.
'SEE? THEY'RE NOT- Oh-'
The knives were on the table, right where he had left them.
'Wh-'
'Kunhang, maybe you should use glasses.'
'I SWEAR THEY WEREN'T HERE BEFORE-'
Chittaphon sighed and left the lab, followed by Sicheng.
'I'm gonna report he's missing.'
'Are you crazy, Mark?'
'I'm not! There's literally nothing else we can do... It's been almost two days...'
'He's a vampire, Mark. The police don't give a fuck if it's a vampire. They'll just assume he got into a fight and got killed.'
'What do you suggest, then?! Travel all around the country and search for him in every house, in every street, under every rock?!'
Mark left the house rushedly, slamming the door. Jungwoo's eyes got teary as he saw the younger leave.
Mark, who are you? I don't know you anymore...
'Uhm... I would like to report a friend that's missing.' Mark said once he got to the police station.
'What's the name of the missing person?'
'Johnny Suh.'
'Alright. Wait here, I'll contact the person who's in charge of formalising disappearances.'
Chittaphon was working at his office when he received a call.
'Sir, there's a young man in the police station who wants to report the disappearance of 'Johnny Suh'.'
'Alright, tell him to wait. I'll be here in half an hour.'
He had previously figured someone would report Johnny's disappearance, so he told his contacts in the police station to call him if that was the case. His intention was to either delete the file or use it as a thread to pull from to find out about Johnny's contacts.
He arrived to the police station twenty minutes later, he sneaked in through the back door and went into an office. He put on an officer's uniform and called his accomplice to bring him Johnny's friend.
'Sorry for the delay, I was filling another document. Another citizen disappeared not so long ago.'
'It's fine. I wanted to report the disappearance of Johnny Suh.'
'Alright. What's your name?'
'Mark. Mark Lee.'
Interesting...
Chittaphon smiled internally.
'When did Suh disappear, approximately?'
'About two days ago, he got out of his workplace and didn't come back.'
'Where does he work?'
'In a library. I don't remember its name but it's near the school and a lot of students go there.'
'Are you sure he disappeared after working and not before or while working?'
'I'm sure. I visited him while he was working and he was there. When I tried calling him after his shift ended he didn't answer, though.'
'What's your relationship with Suh?'
'He's a close friend and he lives with me.'
'I would need you to tell me where does Suh live and in case you two don't live alone who else lives with you.'
'Johnny lives with another friend named Jungwoo and me.'
'I need to know whether he and his friends are vampires or not.'
'What does it have to do with the disappearance?'
'Well, both races have been colliding those days. If he's a human there's a higher chance he's dead. We'll search for him regardless of that, though.'
'He's a vampire.'
'And you and your other friend?'
'Do I really have to tell you? I can't believe this is necessary.'
'Well, excuse us but we have to know in order to determine whether we consider you suspicious or not.'
'Are you fucking kidding me?! I'm literally here to fucking report his disappearance and all you can say is I might be suspicious?!' Mark slammed his fist against the table and got up.
'Sir, please, calm down. That is the protocol and I can't do anything about it.'
Mark took a deep breath and proceeded to answer.
'We're all vampires.'
'Alright. Does Suh interact with humans often?'
'I mean, he works in a library. He's in contact with both humans and vampires.'
'Do you know all of his closest friends and family?'
'I think so.'
'Anyone who could have a reason to hurt him?'
'Nah. He's a nice person and gets along well with everyone. I doubt anyone would want to hurt him...'
'Is he violent?'
'Not really. He's strong but doesn't like hurting people for no reason.'
'Has he ever disappeared for a long period of time besides from this time?'
'No. He always tells us.'
'Alright. We'll do our best to find him. You can leave now.'
Mark left the police station to get home. He was ready to apologize to Jungwoo for reacting so badly before. He felt so relieved now that he'd told the police as it got his hopes up to find his best friend.
Meanwhile, a smirking Chittaphon was heading home, file in hands.
