You're a Monster | ChenjiWords: 8584

'Something doesn't add up, Yukhei.' Yangyang said once again. They were in Yangyang's  room, both of them sitting on stacks of books since those were all around the room and there was  literally no free space to sit.

'Nothing makes sense. He would've known it if Yuta was a vampire.' Yukhei was staring at the floor so intensely Yangyang swore he could se a hole on it already.

'There's no way Chenle didn't notice his boyfriend was ice cold, they were always glued to each other. Chenle is stupid but as far as I know he can still sense a body's temperature.'

Yukhei looked at Yangyang with a poker face for an instant and replied. 'Were you spying on them or..?'

'I have Chenle's phone hacked, I can hear his microphone and see through both of his cameras just like with all of your devices. I gotta make sure nothing bad happens to y'all.'

'I'm not even surprised.' Yukhei apathetically got up. As he was about to walk out of the room the younger spoke.

'I know you didn't take your medicines. Don't forget them.' Yukhei just nodded and left.

'Sungie, your phone case is so cute!'

'Oh, haha thankyou.' He shyly answered right before feeling a light tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw the slightly shorter male he'd been with last afternoon.

'C-can we talk privately?' Chenle said. His face was already red due to the embarrasment he felt when all eyes turned to him.

Jisung took Chenle's hand and excused himself to go to a quieter place where no students were to be seen. 'What is it?'

'I... I'm sorry...' The taller chuckled softly at Chenle's blush.

'No need to apologize.'

'B-but I hurt you...' The Chinese hated this version of himself. He was usually a determined and shameless guy, however Jisung made him feel so small and vulnerable. He took Jisung's hoodie out of his backpack and handed it to the younger, sprinting to his class right after as he didn't want to be late.

Jisung dreamily sighed at Chenle's actions.

Adorable

A sigh escaped his mouth as he listened to that perfect voice painting their surroundings with a soft melody. He was hiding behind a building's corner, observing a guy he didn't know yet standing next to a tree. They were in an empty street located in the outskirts of their city. It was late at night so the place was quiet besides from the song that made the place feel less hostile.

Jisung was partly glad he was the only listener, though he didn't understand the song he guessed was in Chinese he still admired the way those notes were in perfect tune.

However, good moments don't last forever. A slight envy clouded his mind as he saw another guy approaching his singing guy.

'Sorry for the delay, Lele.'

'Fuck.' Kun's fist collided against the table's surface which made Chittaphon jump slightly. 'We have to communicate this to the others as soon as possible. Call Yukhei, Yangyang, Kunhang, Dejun, Renjun and Sicheng immediately.'

'We're not gonna tell Chenle?' He asked.

'Not yet. He's in school today.'

Shortly after the six guys were in Kun's office. Kun signaled for Chittaphon to start.

'I received information about vampires using products to blend within humans and simulate our physical characteristics.'

Yangyang and Yukhei looked at each other. 'Do they perhaps change their body temperature?' Yangyang asked.

'No way, vampires are too sensitive to temperature. Having their skin as warm as human skin would cause the same effect as if a human was constantly exposed to freezing temperatures.' Sicheng interjected.

Chittaphon sighed. 'As I was saying- Kunhang stop playing with that pencil, you're gonna break it. What I was gonna say is, they use a kind of sunscreen to protect their skin from sunlight-'

'Doesn't regular human sunscreen work for them too?' Chittaphon internally facepalmed as Yukhei interrupted him.

'No, our sunscreen's chemicals don't provide enough protection for their skin. They would need to be applying a lot of sunscreen constantly and that would expose them.' Dejun argued.

'Can I continue?' Silence. 'That kind of sunscreen also creates the illusion of warmth when in contact with our skin.'

'Kunhang, please stop staring at the ceiling. Chittaphon is in front of you, not above.' Kun said. He was used to Kunhang randomly spacing out, but he considered that meeting important enough to pay attention.

'When Kunhang is staring it always means he's thinking. Kunhang, did something relevant cross your mind?' Chittaphon said.

'Even with that sunscreen they still need to protect their eyes. I doubt they apply sunscreen on their eyes.'

'You're right. They also use special contact lenses. However, not all of them use those. They're still being developed and they're so expensive. Only some vampires use them.'

Once Chittaphon was done speaking Kun intervened. 'We need something to detect vampires as soon as possible. Sicheng, Kunhang, Dejun and Renjun. I want at least a prototype in the next three days. End of the meeting. Yangyang, you'll tell Chenle once he comes back.'

Can u tutor me pls? I need help w maths and science

Chenle read the note Jisung had sneaked to him while the teacher wasn't looking. He giggled and wrote on the same paper, feeling like a naughty ten year old kid. He rolled it up and kicked it under Jisung's chair.

Hmm idk, what do I get in exchange?

Jisung took another paper, wrote on it and curled it up into a ball. Then he threw it in Chenle's direction, hitting the older's head in the process.

Ill buy u ice cream ;)

Chenle pretended to think about it and wrote his answer, folding the note into a paper plane. The paper plane flew to Jisung's table, but the teacher caught a glimpse of the flying paper and got it before Jisung could read it.

'Okay, see you after school, heart heart heart' Both Chenle and Jisung's eyes widened as the teacher read Chenle's note out loud, both of them blushing of embarrasment. 'So, we're planning dates today? Zhong and Park, you're both staying here after class. Looks like you'll have to change your date plans.'

'Sung said he can't come.' Jaemin said. They were all in Taeyong's house, waiting for Jisung. Donghyuck, Jeno and Jungwoo were sprawled all over the couch, Taeyong was getting the drinks and Jaehyun and Doyoung were in a bedroom minding their own business. Donghyuck sighed as he heard the news.

'What the fuck is he doing now?' He protested.

'He has to stay in class as a punishment.' Jaemin answered. Donghyuck sighed once again as he shook his head.

Soon after Taeyong appeared with a few cups, one for each of them. The cups were filled with a cold dark red liquid with a few ice cubes.

Jeno picked a cup of blood and sipped from it. 'B negative? You know I prefer O positive.'

'Ugh stop being a whiny bitch Jeno.' Jeno pretended to be offended by Donghyuck's comment and gasped dramatically.

'Buy O yourself, you know it's expensive.' Tae argued.

'Oh, come on Taee. You're rich, I'm not.'

'fINALLY' Jisung practically shouted as they got out of school. They'd been for an hour and a half in the school helping the teacher with his worksheets and photocopies.

'So... It's kinda late today. Let's go at your house tomorrow to study?' Said the Chinese. He didn't want Jisung to go to where he lived because it couldn't even be considered a house and he knew Kun wouldn't like it if he brought guys home.

'Uhm... I don't think it's a good idea... My family doesn't like it when I bring people home and they're so scandalous haha' The taller said. The truth was he didn't want his father nor Baekhyun to interact with Chenle. Besides, Taeyong and his other friends usually came by without even telling him before and he knew the older would try to kill Yuta's murderer.

'So... Where do we go?'

'What about the library? It's kinda near and I know the person who works there. We can use the studying area.'

'Alright, the library then.'

'Sorry man, I can't. Gotta work this Saturday.'

'Ohh pleaseeee I'll do anything, daddy.' Said the shorter one in a teasing way.

'Anything?'

'Yeah.'

'Go shower, you stink oTaKu.'

Mark pretended to be hurt by his friend's words and placed a hand on his heart fake crying dramatically.

'Pweaseeee!'

'Aegyo doesn't work on me and you know it.'

'You're no fun Johnny.' Mark pouted.

'I know right? Now leave, I have to work for two hours more and if they catch me talking to you instead of doing my job they'll yell at me.'

Mark sighed and left shortly after. The library Johnny worked in wasn't very far from their house, so he walked home calmly while listening to some music in his earphones.

Once he arrived he greeted his housemate.

'Is Johnny still working?'

'Yeah.'
