Rishabh's living room buzzed with laughter and chaos. Ishan had just spilled chips on Siraj, who jumped up dramatically, yelling about his favorite hoodie. Abhishek quietly snickered while Mayank calmly handed Siraj a tissue. Shubman sat on the armrest of the couch, his protective gaze fixed on Ishan, who was already grabbing another handful of chips.

Rishabh clapped his hands, silencing everyone. "Guys, I have an idea!"

Siraj immediately groaned. "Oh no, not again. Your ideas never end well, Rishabh."

"Shut up, Siraj. This one's gold," Rishabh said, grinning mischievously. "Let's visit the haunted house on the edge of town!"

The room fell silent. Even Ishan, who had been stuffing his mouth with chips, froze mid-chew.

"Are you insane?" Abhishek asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Come on, guys. It'll be fun!" Rishabh insisted.

"I'm not going," Siraj declared, folding his arms. "Do you know how many horror movies start this way? I'm not dying because of your stupid idea."

Ishan laughed nervously. "I agree with Siraj. Ghosts and I don't mix, bro."

Shubman placed a hand on Ishan's shoulder. "If you're scared, you don't have to come."

Ishan pouted. "Hey! I didn't say I was scared!"

Mayank, always the voice of reason, sighed. "Rishabh, are you sure this is a good idea? We don't want to get in trouble."

Rishabh waved his hand dismissively. "It's just an old, abandoned house. What's the worst that can happen?"

Abhishek's soft voice cut through the chatter. "Famous last words."

The group stood in front of the looming mansion, its windows shattered and ivy creeping up its walls. The air was eerily still, and a chill ran down Ishan's spine.

"This is a bad idea," Siraj muttered, clutching Rishabh's arm.

"Relax, Siraj," Rishabh said, though his own voice trembled slightly.

Shubman squeezed Ishan's hand. "Stay close to me."

Ishan nodded, his usual humor replaced with nervousness. "You're not going to let me get possessed, right?"

Shubman smirked. "Not a chance."

Mayank and Abhishek exchanged a glance. "If anyone wants to back out, now's the time," Mayank said.

"No way," Abhishek replied firmly, surprising everyone.

"Look at Abhishek being braver than Siraj," Rishabh teased.

Siraj glared. "I'm just being realistic, okay? If a ghost shows up, I'm running."

The group cautiously stepped inside, their footsteps echoing in the dusty, dimly lit foyer. Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind them.

"WHAT WAS THAT?" Siraj screamed, clinging to Rishabh.

"Calm down," Mayank said, though his own voice was shaky.

A faint laugh echoed through the house.

"Did you hear that?" Ishan whispered, gripping Shubman's arm tightly.

"Yes," Shubman replied, his eyes scanning the room. "Stay behind me."

As they explored the house, strange things began to happen. Doors creaked open by themselves, shadows moved where there was no light, and faint whispers seemed to come from every corner.

At one point, Rishabh decided to lighten the mood. "Hey, Why did the ghost get kicked out of the movie theater?"

"Why?" Ishan asked, desperate for any distraction.

"Because he was caught booing the film!"

Everyone groaned, but the tension in the air lifted slightly.

Suddenly, Abhishek gasped. "Did anyone else see that?"

"See what?" Mayank asked, moving closer to him.

"There was... someone standing at the end of the hallway," Abhishek whispered.

"Great, now we're seeing things," Siraj muttered.

But when they turned to look, the hallway was empty.

The group stumbled into what appeared to be a library. The air was thick, and the temperature dropped sharply.

"This is it. This is where we die," Siraj declared dramatically.

"Will you stop being so negative?" Rishabh snapped.

Before anyone could respond, a book flew off the shelf and landed at their feet.

"Okay, I'm out," Siraj said, turning to leave.

But the door slammed shut again, and a low growl echoed through the room.

Shubman stepped in front of Ishan, his jaw clenched. "Whatever's here, leave us alone."

To everyone's shock, a shadowy figure emerged from the corner.

"Oh my God," Ishan whimpered, clutching Shubman's hand.

Mayank pulled Abhishek close, shielding him. "Stay behind me."

The figure moved closer, its hollow eyes staring at them.

"Do something, Shubman!" Siraj yelled.

Shubman grabbed a nearby chair and threw it at the figure. It disappeared with a blood-curdling scream.

"Did..... did that actually work?" Rishabh asked, wide-eyed.

"For now," Shubman said. "But we need to get out of here."

As the group searched for an exit, the tension between the couples grew.

"I'm sorry I dragged you into this," Shubman said, brushing a strand of hair from Ishan's face.

Ishan managed a small smile. "As long as I'm with you, I'll survive."

Shubman leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Ishan's forehead. "I won't let anything happen to you."

Meanwhile, Mayank and Abhishek found themselves in another room.

"Are you okay?" Mayank asked, his voice filled with concern.

Abhishek nodded, though his hands trembled. "I'm fine. Just... don't leave me alone."

Mayank cupped Abhishek's face, his eyes full of determination. "Never."

The tender moment was interrupted by a loud crash.

"Guys!" Rishabh shouted from the other room. "I think I found the way out!"

The group rushed towards Rishabh's voice, dodging flying objects and ghostly apparitions. They found him by a broken window.

"Jump!" Rishabh yelled.

"I am not jumping!" Siraj protested.

"Would you rather stay here?" Rishabh shot back.

One by one, they climbed out of the window, with Shubman and Mayank helping the others.

As they landed outside, the house let out a deafening roar, and the ground shook. The group ran as fast as they could until the house was out of sight.

Back at Rishabh's house, everyone sat in stunned silence.

"I am never listening to you again," Siraj told Rishabh.

"Fair," Rishabh replied, still catching his breath.

Shubman wrapped an arm around Ishan. "You okay?"

Ishan nodded, resting his head on Shubman's shoulder. "Yeah. Thanks to you."

Mayank held Abhishek's hand, their bond stronger than ever.

Rishabh broke the silence. "So... same time next week?"

"SHUT UP, RISHABH!" everyone yelled, bursting into laughter.

The End.
