Virat×ishan

The Indian cricket team had landed in London for a crucial series.

With the matches a few days away, Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan found themselves chosen for a promotional event at a luxury hotel.

It was supposed to be a simple appearance, but things took an unexpected turn.

The hotel ballroom sparkled with golden chandeliers and polished marble floors.

Media representatives and fans gathered to see the two cricketers, their cameras flashing as Virat and Ishan walked in.

Ishan, dressed in a sleek black blazer, leaned toward Virat. "Why do these events feel more stressful than batting in the final over?"

Virat smirked, his hand briefly brushing Ishan's back—a gesture meant to steady him. "Relax, Kish. Smile and wave. It'll be over before you know it."

As the event began, they answered questions about the upcoming series and their training routines.

Everything seemed routine until the fire alarm suddenly blared.

Panic spread through the room as hotel staff tried to calm everyone down. "It's probably a drill," Virat said, frowning, but the smell of smoke creeping into the hall said otherwise.

A staff member rushed over. "Sir, there's been a fire on one of the lower floors. We need to evacuate immediately."

The crowd began moving toward the exits in a controlled chaos. Virat grabbed Ishan's wrist, his grip firm. "Stay close to me."

"Virat Bhai, I'm not a kid," Ishan protested, though he didn't pull away.

"Not taking chances," Virat muttered, leading him through the crowd.

As they reached the main exit, a staff member directed them toward a different staircase, away from the throng of people.

But as they descended, the smell of smoke grew stronger. By the time they reached the fourth floor, flames blocked their path.

"Back up!" Virat yelled, pulling Ishan away.

They retreated to a conference room, slamming the door shut behind them. Ishan coughed, waving smoke away from his face. "What now?"

Virat looked around, his mind racing. "We wait. The firefighters will find us."

"And if they don't?" Ishan asked, his voice quieter.

"They will," Virat said firmly, though his own heart pounded. He placed a hand on Ishan's shoulder. "We'll be fine, Kish. I promise."

Time crawled as they waited. Ishan sat on the floor, his knees pulled to his chest, while Virat paced the room, checking his phone for updates.

"Virat Bhai," Ishan said after a long silence.

"Yeah?"

"If we don't make it out of here—"

"Don't," Virat interrupted sharply.

"I'm just saying," Ishan persisted. "If something happens, there's something I need to tell you."

Virat stopped pacing, his eyes locking with Ishan's. "Nothing's going to happen. But if it's that important, say it."

Ishan hesitated, his fingers fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. "I..... I've had feelings for you for a long time. More than just teammates or friends. I didn't want to mess things up, so I never said anything."

The words hung in the air like a thick fog. Virat stared at him, his expression unreadable.

"You've been carrying that around all this time?" Virat finally said, his tone softer.

Ishan nodded, unable to meet his gaze. "Yeah."

Virat crouched down in front of him, tilting Ishan's chin up until their eyes met. "You should've told me sooner," he said, a small smile playing on his lips.

Ishan blinked, confused. "Why?"

"Because I feel the same way," Virat admitted. "I was just waiting for the right time to say it. Guess this wasn't how I planned it, though."

Before Ishan could respond, they heard voices shouting from the hallway. Virat sprang to his feet, banging on the door.

"Here! We're in here!"

The door burst open, and firefighters rushed in, guiding them to safety.

As they stepped outside into the cool night air, Ishan glanced at Virat, his heart still racing.

"Guess we made it," Ishan said, attempting a smile.

"Told you we would," Virat replied, slipping an arm around Ishan's shoulders. "And now that we're out, we've got a lot to talk about."

Ishan looked up at him, his eyes shining. "Yeah, we do."

Back at the team hotel, word of the fire spread quickly. Rohit Sharma and the others bombarded them with questions about what had happened.

"You two always manage to find drama, don't you?" Hardik joked.

"Maybe it finds us," Virat said smoothly, sharing a brief, knowing glance with Ishan.

As the team laughed and moved on to other topics, Ishan felt a quiet thrill in his chest. He no more feel the weight of keeping his feelings a secret.

And as Virat's hand brushed against his under the table, he knew their partnership was just beginning—both on and off the pitch.
