Eudora George was startled. âAmosâ¦â
The name âAmosâ was very common, but it felt special when it came out of her mouth.
âYes, call me this name from now on,â Amos Granger said.
Amosâ arms gradually tightened. Eudora panicked. She was worried that yesterdayâs incident would happen again, so she quickly broke free.
âCola is hungryâ¦â Eudora said.
This time, Amos did not stop her. He let her escape to the kitchen.
However after they were done with their meal, Eudora was once again pinned down on the dining table by Amos as they did the deed.
Later, Eudora was so tired that she didnât want to stand up. This man was the most powerful man in Rosaville City, wasnât he? Why did he look like he had been restrained for more than 20 years?
Amos carried her upstairs and put her on the bed.
Amos changed his clothes as he looked into the little womanâs narrowed eyes. âHave a good rest. You donât need to clean up the house. A part-time maid will come here every two days. If you think it wonât work, Iâll ask Clint to arrange someone else to come.â
Eudora shook her head and said, âThereâs no need. I donât have anything to do at home anyway. Maybe I can lose some weight doing house chores.â After that, she stretched out her head to look for something.
The quilt accidentally slipped down, showing her perfect collar bones. âDoes she even need to lose weight?â Amos thought. His eyes darkened as old desires resurfaced.
However, looking at how tired the little woman was, he suppressed himself.
He walked over and wrapped her up. âWhat are you looking for?â he asked in a hoarse voice.
âOh, the pill I bought,â Eudora said slowly.
Hearing this, Amos tightened his grip. âYou really donât want to have my child that much?â
âErâ¦â Eudora pursed her lips. âNo, I just donât want to leave you any trouble. One year from now, if we separate, then Iâ¦â
âIâm not afraid of trouble!â Amos said coldly.
âButâ¦â Eudora frowned. She didnât want to have a child. After all, children are fruits of love. The relationship between her and Amos was just purely transactional. Having a child would only be irresponsible.
Before she even finished her sentence, the man threw the pill into the trash can.
âI said no!â Amos said.
Eudora lost her temper and reached out her hand to pick it up. This time, Amos grabbed her hand, and his face was dark and scary.
Just when Eudora thought he was going to explode with anger, he sighed. âForget it, I will buy condoms!â
After that, he left the room.
Eudora came to her senses. âWhat did Amos say? Did he say he would buy condoms? Why does it feel like Iâm dreaming?â
Eudora was stunned for a while, but she was still worried. She picked up the bottle of after-morning pills and ate one before throwing the rest into the trash can.
The next morning, Eudora received a phone call from Laura Westin again.
âIâve signed the divorce agreement. Come and get it right away!â Laura said.
Eudora was delighted. She had been waiting for this moment for a long time. She was extremely happy.
Coincidentally, Eudora planned to pick up some of her late motherâs possessions back at the Meyer family. Eudora made an appointment with Laura to meet there.
Eudora quickly hailed a taxi to the Meyer family residence.
When she didnât see Laura, she went upstairs to take what she wanted. She didnât want anything else except for her motherâs belongings.
She found Felix Meyer sitting there.
Felix gave her a gloomy smile. âIâve told you before that I didnât do anything. They canât lock me up.â
Eudoraâs heart sank and she realized that she had been cheated. She turned around to leave, but the door behind her was shut.
Felix walked straight towards Eudora. âLetâs see where youâre going this time.â
âFelix!â Eudora gritted her teeth. âIf you dare to touch a hair on my head, Phantom Group will be finished!â
Hearing the noise, Laura rushed downstairs. When she heard Eudora, her face darkened.
âFelix, forget it. What else do you want to do with her? Get divorced now! Iâll find a better one for you!â Laura said.
âMom, you donât have to worry about me!â Felix sneered. âSheâs still my legitimate wife. I can do whatever I want!â
âSon!â Laura was still afraid. After all, she was a timid woman.
âI know what Iâm doing. Go upstairs.â Felix said.
Laura had no choice but to retreat.
Eudora saw an opening and tried to escape, but Felix pulled her back. âDid Amos like you? Iâll have a taste of the most beautiful woman in Rosaville City today.â
Felixâs crazy look terrified Eudora.
âFelix, if you dare to touch me today, you will regret it!â she snapped.
âHa ha!â Felix sneered. âItâs been three years, and I still havenât had a taste of you yet. That would change today.â
He threw Eudora on the sofa and pressed himself on her.
Eudora struggled desperately, and the things she was holding on to fell to the ground.
âEudora, like I said, you and I will be together till death!â Felix said.
Felix was determined this time. He began to tear Eudoraâs clothes.
Luckily, Eudora was wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt today, but Felix almost tore them apart.
At this critical moment, a servant suddenly ran in from outside. âYoung Master, something bad is happeningâ¦â
âGet out!â Felix shouted.
The servant trembled and struggled to catch himself.
âItâs Amos Granger. Heâs coming,â the servant said.
As soon as he finished speaking, the tightly-closed iron door outside was cut open. Amos Granger strode in with his men.
Felixâs heart sank, and he jumped off Eudora. He was about to welcome Amos, but Amos didnât even look at him.
âHit him!â Amos ordered his bodyguards.
They rushed forward and surrounded Felix. Soon, only Felixâs howls could be heard in the large living room.
Eudora looked at Amos standing in front of her in a daze.
This was the third time that Amos had saved her. At this moment, even if she heard rumors that he killed people, she did not care anymore.
She only knew that this man was the only person she could rely on at this moment.
After checking on her, Amos was relieved to find that she was fine.
When Laura came down and saw her son being beaten, she was so scared that she cried out loud.
âSon! Stop! Please stop hitting him,â Laura screamed.
But Amosâ bodyguards didnât stop. They only listened to one person, and that was Amos!
Laura realised that Amos was the leader here, so she hurried over and begged him. âMr. Granger, please stop hitting him. My son was just confused for a moment. He really didnât mean to hurt Eudora! Eudora, please tell Mr. Granger that we asked you to come here to sign the divorce agreement! This is all a misunderstanding!â
