Eudora George bit her lip and refused to say it. It was originally just a nickname for him, but she was embarrassed after being teased by him Seeing that she was reluctant to say it, Amos deliberately made things difficult for her. He rubbed against her gently as if he was going to grind her into powder.
Finally, Eudora could not help but let out a vague cry, âHubbyâ¦â
Amos Granger was finally satisfied and he quickened his movement.
When they were done, Eudoraâs mind gradually cleared.
She checked the time and realized that she was running late. She pushed him away hurriedly, âIâm going to be late!â
A satisfied man was a reasonable man, so he stepped on the accelerator and the car sped back to the city.
Finally, they reached Christopherâs studio and he dropped her off. He lowered his head to kiss her cheek, âSee you later.â
After he left, Eudora made sure that she was presentable and walked in.
â¦
At this moment, Christopher Gellert was standing by the window and he watched as the scene unfolded downstairs. Eudora got off from Amosâ car with a smile on her face.
His eyes dimmed and he did not look away until he heard the footsteps behind him.
Eudora came in and said apologetically, âIâm sorry Iâm late.â
Christopher shook his head, âItâs okay. Youâre right on time. Weâre about to start!â
As he spoke, his phone rang. He picked it up to answer it and it was from a servant at home. The servant on the other end of the phone was anxious, âMr. Gellert, we have found the Young Madam, but she refuses to come back.â
Christopher frowned âThen, let her do as she please.â
âBut, the Young Madam is slightly injuredâ¦â
Christopher finally paused but soon, he still shook his head, âIf she is injured, she should go to a doctor. I am not a doctor.â
After that, he hung up the phone immediately.
âLetâs go!â
However, Eudora stood there and asked, âWhoâs injured?â
âNo one!â Christopher answered.
âItâs Tina, right? Donât lie to me. Iâve known you for so many years, do you think that I canât read you?â
Christopher was annoyed and he could not help but say, âWhatâs the use of understanding me? You only like Amos, donât you?â
Eudora paused and apologized, âIâm sorryâ¦â
Christopher also realized that he had lost his composure. He was the one who was not in a good mood but he had vented it on someone else. âEudora, Iâm sorry. Iâm not feeling that well today. Iâm afraid that I canât accompany you to the construction site today. How about tomorrow?â
Eudora shook her head, âNo, I can go by myself. You should go back to take care of Tina. I think that she is a good girl. Donât let her down.â
Christopher nodded and turned to leave. They parted ways downstairs and Eudora took a cab to the construction site.
Christopher stood rooted to the spot and he only got into the car after watching Eudora leave.
Neither of them noticed that someone came out from behind them after they leftâ¦
â¦
Christopher went to the location that the servant had provided. Tina Holt was already drunk when he found her.
When she ran away yesterday, she had probably run too fast and injured her feet. It was all swollen now. However, she did not seem to feel the pain at all as she was still holding onto the wine bottle and making a fuss.
The servants beside her seemed to be at a loss. âYoung Madam, please stop drinking.â
âThatâs right. Young Madam, could you please give us the bottle?â
âGo away!â Tina shouted vaguely. She held the wine bottle tightly and refused to let it go.
Christopher walked over and gave the servants a knowing look. The servants immediately understood and turned to leave. They even closed the door thoughtfully for him.
Christopher stood there for two seconds before walking over. He then sat across Tina. He reached out to snatch the bottle in her hand, âStop drinking.â
Tina slapped his hand, âDonât come over.â
Christopher suddenly got angry. He had always been gentle because he did not want to make any enemies. Yet, he did not know why but this little girl always had the ability to make him furious. âTina, do you always want to oppose me?â
Upon hearing that, the tough little girl suddenly started to cry.
She cried very sadly and complained with the wine bottle in her hands.
âChristopher, you b*stard. I didnât say anything, did I? Why did you tell me to leave? Youâre angry because Iâve successfully read your mind! Youâve disappointed me!â
Christopher was furious, yet he laughed, âAnd you still think that you had not said anything?â
âAm I wrong?â Tina glared at him and rebutted, âI just wanted to work in your company. I didnât mean to say anything else!â
As she spoke, her voice gradually turned into a whisper.
âDo you think that youâre the only one who is pitiful? She doesnât like you but you donât like me either. Dad doesnât like me at home and you donât like me when I finally left home. All these years, nobody had ever liked meâ¦â
Tina curled herself into a ball. As she spoke, tears rolled down from the corner of her eyes.
Christopherâs heart gradually softened. Werenât they the same? They were both people who could not be with the ones they loved.
Thinking of this, he sighed. He lowered his head and patted her on the shoulder. âOkay, Iâm sorry. If you want to go to work at my company, just come. I wonât shout at you like that anymore, okay?â
The little girl suddenly got bold and shouted, âNo, I wonât go anymore! I donât want to be a slave for that je*k Christopher, unless he gives me a salary of thirty thousand dollars a month!â
Christopher was speechless. This girl was really greedy. In his new company, even Eudoraâs basic salary was only ten thousand dollars and the rest depends on her commission. She was just a newcomer, yet she asked for thirty thousand dollars?
âDo you think you are a treasure?â he retorted helplessly.
âI am a treasure. I want to be your treasure.â As she said this, she suddenly took Christopherâs hand and looked at him bitterly. Her wet crystal-liked eyes reflected his silhouette.
Christopher suddenly remembered that the little rabbit that he had kept as a pet previously. She looked as cute as that rabbit.
He swallowed subconsciously and a strange feeling suddenly formed in his heart.
He took a deep breath and let go of her hand hurriedly. âI donât want a treasure like you.â
âYou canât refuse!â She curled her lips and hugged him tightly again. âI want to be your treasure.â
Then, as if she was afraid that he would run away, she suddenly tiptoed and took the initiative to kiss him on the lips.
Immediately, Christopherâs head was buzzing and he could not seem to hear anything. Gradually, a weird sensation came from his lips. It was an electrifying feeling and it passed through his lips before spreading across his limbs.
He did not know how long it took before the girl let finally him go.
She muttered, âYour treasure doesnât taste good.â
Christopher was speechless. She was a drunkard!
He sighed and picked her up. Then, he got up and walked out of the room.
