The concierge was first intimidated by Janetâs gaze.
But then he quickly remembered what Hellen said to him on the phone.
âPut her in the basement! Thatâs what she deserves!â Hellen said fiercely. âIn Riverside Pack, she will always be a lowly maid. Let this be a reminder to her of what she truly is!â
This hotel was funded by the Diaz, so the concierge obeyed everything Hellen said without question.
Plus, he also wasnât very fond of this former Luna personally.
A few years back, he once saw how Janet kneeled down and wiped the floor. She seemed more demeaning than a lowly maid!
Thereâs no way she deserved to stay in a fancy suite with the Alphas on the top floor now.
âYes. This is your room.â The concierge raised his chin and replied arrogantly, âIf you donât like it, you can go stay with the maids. You should remember where that is.â
He crackled a laugh and walked away.
Janet sneered internally and stepped into the room.
She turned on the light.
The dim light lids up this cramped space. The wallpaper was started to peel in a moist condition like this. The sheet had turned yellow and there were some disgusting stains on it as well.
This was just like the room she used to live in before marrying Daran.
Paul and Hellen hated her because of her quiet and dull personality. So they put her in a small utility room in the basement, besides the maidâs dorm.
Gradually, everyone in the Diazâs residence forgot that she was the masterâs daughter. People started to bully her around and give her heavy labors.
It wasnât until she mated with Daran at 18 that she finally got a decent bedroom to her own.
Daran was cold to her, but he still rescued her out of the Diazâs family. She was thankful of that.
She once swore to herself to always remain loyal and loving to Daran no matter what.
Until he completely broke her heart during the kidnap 6 months ago.
Janet set her luggage down by the wall and sat down on the bed. The old mattress made a loud groan beneath her.
She was sure that this was all Hellenâs doing.
Hellen wanted to crack her using those old tricks, Only this time Janet wasnât going to bend over.
Checking the time to make sure this wasnât bedtime yet, Janet unpacked her bag, fetched her toiletry bag and left the room, She headed upstairs, all the way to the top floor.
Then she knocked on Casperâs door.
Nobody answered at first.
Janet had to knock a few times more before she heard a muffled sound from inside.
âWait!â Thatâs Casperâs voice, a little out of breath.
A few seconds later the door flew open from inside.
Casper stood by the door with an irritated look on his face, as though he just got interrupted in the middle of something.
âOh, itâs you.â Casperâs face softened a little when he saw Janet. âWhatâs the matter?â
Janet stared at Casper suspiciously.
His shirt was halfâopen. His lips seemed watery and red.
Janet knew what all these meantâhe was messing around with someone.
âWhoâs in there?â Janet asked, frowning.
She couldnât believe that her brother hooked up with a woman on the first day they arrived at Riverside!
Janet was also afraid that Balvina would be heartbroken if she found out about this.
Balvina had a huge crush on her brother!
Janet wanted to peek into the room, but Casper stepped sideways to block her view, âNobody.
What do you need sister?â
âI-â
âJanet!â
Another voice came from inside.
Janet widened her eyes as Balvina rushed to the door while buttoning her loosen top.
âHey what are you doing here?â Balvina asked with a red face.
Janet quickly put a hand on her own lips to stop a laughter, âNothingâ¦Sorry this seemed like a bad time. Iâll talk to you guys tomorrow. Goodnight.â
Janet turned on her heels and was about to leave.
Yet Balvina grabbed her from the back. Her voice quick and urgent as though she was trying to prove something, âNo no this is a perfect time! Nothing is happening in here! Just say what you need?â
Janet looked at Casper, who rubbed his forehead and agreed with a sigh:
âYes. Nothing was happening. Is something wrong Janet?â
They both looked weird. Janet decided to find a good time to interrogate her best friend or brother.
âItâs not a big deal,â Janet said. âI simply want to borrow one of your bathrooms to freshen up.â
Balvina and Casper both started to frown.
âOur bathroom?â Casper asked, âWhat about yours?â
âIs the tap not working?â Balvina clenched her fist, âHow can the hotel be this careless! Let me talk to the manager about this!â
âI donât have a bathroom,â Janet shrugged.
A shock look appeared on their faces.
âWhat the hell are you talking about!â Balvina yelled, âAll rooms should have a bathroom. Where on earth are you staying at?â
Janet pulled her phone out and showed them a few pictures she just took of her room.
The look on their face became more and more furious.
âI donât know. They probably think I donât deserve a decent room,â Janet said, âconsideringâ¦you knowâ¦my status in this pack.â
âYour status-â Casper said with a freezing tone, âis my Gamma and their VIP guest. They should kneel down to serve you.â
âThese f**king jerks!â Balvina snapped. âIâm calling the front desk now!â
Moments later, a few hotel staffs arrived at the scene.
Including the concierge who gave Janet the room.
They exchanged an apprehensive look after learning the situation. And a manger replied with a humble tone:
âWe value guests from BloodMoon Pack very much. The problem isâ¦we donât have enough room at the moment-
âWhat the f**k?â
â
Balvina stepped forward and grabbed his collar roaring, âThereâre a bunch of empty rooms on this floor. Do you think Iâm blind?!â
The manger was frightened, but he still feigned his calm and said, âThose empty rooms are all reserved to Alphas and officials from other packsâ¦â
âAnd Janet is not an official?â
Their loud voices attracted other people staying on this floor, all were Blood Moon Packâs members.
When they came out of their room and heard what happened, everyone was furious.
A group of large men plus Balvina circled around the manager and asked for a solution.
The manager seemed like he was going to shit his pants, but he still insisted on his earlier words.
âForget it,â Casper suddenly said. âSomebody clearly asked him to do this. He canât make the call.â
Then his eyes traveled the only closed door on this floor.
âI saw you put Harper in this room earlier,â Casper pointed at that closed door with an icy smile.
âSheâs not a general. She should give her room to Janet.â
The managerâs face turned pale instantly.
In fact, Miss Harper deliberately asked him to arrange a room right next to Daranâs so that she could have close access to him.
What should he do now!
Before the manager could think of a solution, all members from BloodMoon Pack had sieged upon that closed door.
âWait!â the manager cried, âYou donât have the key-â
BANG!
The door was kicked down by a general like it was made of paper.
With a sharp cry, Harper came rushing out with her hair all messy, âWhat are you doing you savages!â
âGet the hell out!â someone snapped, âYou donât belong here!â
Harper shivered in rage and shrieked, âOpen your damn eyes! Iâm the princess in Riverside, the owner of this hotel, the future LunaâAhhh!!â
She was thrown out of the room by Balvina.
âYouâre no shit,â Balvina snorted.
Collapsing on the floor, Harper snapped her head up and met with Janetâs eyes.
A faint smile appeared on Janetâs lips.
An eye for an eye, Janet thought smiling.
Harper used to bully her because she had no one behind her back.
But now everything had changed.
How do you like the feeling of being bullied, Harper?
