âWhatâs wrong?â Jasmine quizzed, shaking me frantically and I continued to sob. Maybe I was making a scene, maybe I wasnât. How would you feel if the first person you loved came back into your life, bringing a whole lot of unwanted memories back with him, just when you became an engaged women? I didnât know either, until now. I felt terrible. I didnât like the fact that all my feelings for Stephen were returning like an on switch when it took me so long to get over him.
âIâm just going home, tell Trevor that I was too drunk to go to his house please,â I begged, wiping my tears away and attempting to walk past her. The club was so packed that barely anyone noticed the scene that I was making, which I was grateful for.
âNot before you tell me whatâs wrong,â Jasmine urged, yanking me back by my bare arm.
âJust leave it,â I cried, grabbing my arm back and rushing through the crowd, to the front of the club. Pushing the door open, a gust of cold air blew in my face, cooling down my body from the sweaty club. My ears also felt calmer since the music wasnât as loud as it was inside, outside. Breathing in and out, I slowly, smiled politely at the bouncers who were still outside and waited to see an empty taxi go by.
âWhere are you going?â Stephen asked me from behind. I didnât even have to turn around to recognise who was speaking.
âHome.â I replied easily. Where else would I be going at 12:30 in the morning?
âWhy? I though we were having a good time,â Stephen smirked, spinning me around by my wrist, before his smirk turned in a frown.
âWho made you cry? Was it that stupid dickhead of a fiancé? Did he break up with you?â Stephen quizzed, his gaze burning into my skin as I continued to look for a taxi, snatching my wrist back.
âYou really donât get it do you?!â I growled, twirling around to face him
âHow dare you think that you can just come back into my life and play with my emotions! Have you forgotten what you did to me? How you treated me, when I had done nothing wrong? Itâs you whoâs making me cry, not Trevor, so just stop speaking to me, or appearing wherever I am and leave me the heck alone!â I cried, whipping my tears away frantically, just as a taxi came down the road. Holding out a shaky hand, the taxi slowed down and stopped in front of me. Not sparing Stephen a last look, I hopped into the taxi, only for him to follow in suit.
âI havenât forgotten what I did to you Melanie and Iâm really sorry. It hurt me to hurt you the way I did.I havenât stopped thinking about you for the last four years and Iâm here to make up and get back together, youâre my soul mate for trying out loud!â Stephen roared, his black eyes piercing into mine.
âDonât you dare move this taxi sir,â I stated, watching the man, begin to drive.
âAre you joking? Iâm your soul mate? Bullshit Stephen! Bullshit! If I was your âsoul mateâ why did you throw me away like you did? Why did I see that girl coming out of your hotel room the other day, if you havenât stopped thinking about me?! Just get out of the car! Please!â I begged, too tired and upset to finish the conversation.
âIâll leave you for now, but that doesnât mean we wonât finish the conversation. Hereâs fifty bucks, get her home safely, or I will find you and bite your head off,â Stephen threatened the driver, throwing the money at him and then left, slamming the door behind him. Trying to hold in my tears and not bothering to argue with the taxi about the money, I stared out of the window, seeing everything, yet nothing and could only try and forget the conversation that I and Stephen had just had.
I woke up to my annoying alarm once again and braced myself for the day ahead. Taking a shower, putting on my normal formal uniform and putting my hair into a neat bun, I ate some cereal and opened the front door, letting Trevor inside, without a kiss.
âWhatâs wrong with you? I was joking about having a terrible time last night you know,â Trevor informed me.
âObviously.â I muttered
âIâm fine, just a little tired. I should be better later on,â I hoped
âGood, cause Debbie invited us over to have dinner with her and a guy that sheâs been seeing for a while. She said that she has a great feeling about him and wants me to be the judge of his âcharacter.â Meaning if heâs a truly good guy or not,â Trevor stated, lounging on the sofa whilst I put on my tights in front of him, and then placed on my shoes and blazer. Nodding in response, we headed out, as our usual routine and with a small peck, I headed into work.
Debbie was one of the female modelâs which he worked with. They were close friends, but I knew that I didnât have anything to worry about since I trust Trevor. Plus, sheâs a nice girl to go to when you need a shopping buddy or just someone to talk to about guys, since sheâs had loads of experience.
âSo how was last night? Iâm sorry I couldnât make it,â Jessica apologised, putting some papers on my desk.
âIt was okay I guess. Itâs alright, you didnât miss much, if anything,â I replied, not looking up at her
âAre you okay? Youâre not looking at me,â Jessica realised, much to my annoyance.
âYeah, Iâm just recovering from a little bit of a hangover, someone slipped something into my drink,â I lied, glancing up at her, seeing her brown eyes scrutinising me.
âOh sorry, Iâll just leave you alone for now. If you need me, you know where to find me,â Jessica suggested before heading to the door.
âBy the way, another representative has come to have a meeting with Robin. I think theyâre trying to see if you guys say the same thing or not. Sneaky bastards,â She joked, with a small smile on her lips as she closed the door. Just as Stephen had said, I thought, growling and leaning back in my chair, feeling emotionally and physically drained. All due to one person. Can you imagine?!
Work seemed to drift by slowly and I was really tired by the time I got to Trevorâs house, whereas he was as awake and alive as any other person, which irritated me slightly.
âTake a shower and weâll hit the road.â Trevor insisted me, shooing me to the bathroom by squeezing my butt, making me squeal like a little girl. Just by that simple, quite inappropriate gesture, I felt my first smile of the day, slipping onto my lips and showered happily before putting on a simple plain bright orange top, a tight pink skirt, black heels and my black blazer, to make it look formal casual, using colour block, which if you hadnât noticed, was my kind of style, formal casual that is. I left my hair down and straight, placing on a little bit of foundation and mascara on before meeting a sexy looking Trevor, watching TV. His curly chocolate brown hair was messy in an attractive way and the black Louis Vitton shirt that he was wearing, with simple jeans and trainers made his blue eyes pop even more.
âAre you ready to go handsome?â I whispered in his ear from behind, making sure that my lips brushed softly past his ear and I swear that I saw something in his trousers twitch, making me giggle internally.
âYou really want to kill me donât you,â Trevor moaned, as I laughed and went to sit on his lap, straddling him and ignoring my skirt hitching up.
âWhy would I want to do that? Weâre not married yet, so I wonât get all your money,â I joked, smiling as his eyes wandered over my body hungrily, as his hands pulled me firmly against his hips.
âVery funny but Iâm sure youâll miss all of this, when Iâm dead,â Trevor stated and then claimed my lips desperately, tasting every inch of my mouth as I was doing to him. My hands wrapped around his neck as he gently pulled my head closer, deepening the kiss causing me to moan in the process. His lips left mine as I felt him biting on my neck softly, making me moan even more as my eyes closed in pleasure. Grinding my hips against his I heard him moan as well as feeling himself harden at my movement.
âI think we should go otherwise weâll never leave the house and Debbie will never forgive you,â I breathed, getting as worked up as he was.
âYour cruel, you know that.â Trevor groaned, breathing in and out in deep breaths, trying to calm himself down which made me laugh.
âMaybe if I get off you, youâll feel better,â I suggested, standing up and watching him whilst pulling down my skirt and fixing myself.
âAlright, letâs go before I change my mind and take you right here and now,â Trevor rushed, pulling me out by my hand, slamming his apartment door behind us.
I bet you guys are wondering why we donât live together. Itâs plainly because none of us could decide which house to live in, since none of us wanted to leave ours, so we just sleep around each others and have been for the past two years. We arrived at Debbieâs penthouse and since we had been there so many times, easily let ourselves inside, since she rarely ever locks it. We could hear Debbieâs loud laughter filling the penthouse and followed it, which led us into the dining room where she and Stephen stood, caressing each other.
Wait. Stephen!! For crying out loud!
Both of their heads snapped towards us and I felt Trevor pull me close into his side possessively. So Stephen had a lot of girlfriends I gathered. He couldnât stop thinking about me? Well that was a load of crap.
âHey guys! Stephen, I want you to meet my friends Trevor and his gorgeous, almost as beautiful as me, joking, girlfriend, Melanie,â Debbie enthusiastically introduced us.
âIsnât anyone going to say anything?â Debbie questioned as we all stood in silence, the tension thick enough to cut with a saw.
âWait Mel? Whatâs thatâs on your neck? A hickie? What exactly weâre you guys doing before you came here?â Debbie shrieked, jokingly making me glance at Trevor who just winked slyly at me and I swore I heard Stephen growl as his black eyes seemed to grow even darker, as he stared at Trevor frighteningly.
âWell letâs all sit down and eat, cause I donât know about you but Iâm starving!â Debbie giggled, rushing to the kitchen leaving us three alone.
I could already tell that tonight was going to be a very long night!
