Left Behind

Despite all the pain she had to bear,

All she gave him was love and care.

Then came the day,

he decided to walk away.

He left even if she begged him to stay.

Days went by.

Months went by.

In the darkness of the night, she would hide.

She cried.

Of love she was denied.

Memories haunted her day and night.

She had no more courage left to fight.

All she could do was to kneel down and pray.

Asking God to bring back her beloved someday,

even if it seemed there was no way.
