I didn't eat enough but already felt full. I looked towards Taehyung, he clinked his glasses with few others, had a brief laugh, maybe over something they were talking, and gulped his drink.
There was no point calling him in between so I just texted him that I'm outside.
I texted him but he didn't check his phone it was probably on the silent mode.
I slipped out.
I knew nobody would have even noticed. I was feeling insulted all this time for the fact that I was here, uninvited. But I couldn't do anything about it.
The light breeze hit my bare legs as I stepped out.
The sky was deep dark, tiny dots in the black sheet making it beautiful and calm.
I thought of walking to the parking but refrain and chose to have little walk over the secondary pathway.
It was getting colder, my arms were covered with the sleeves of my dress but my legs weren't protected a bit.
I rubbed my hands together, blowing out the air from my mouth.
I didn't know how it would going to be after this trip. Though I've applied few places but I'm not sure shifting to those, I'm still obligated and haven't told mom yet.
I sighed. I was feeling cold now, my hands couldn't protect my arms anymore.
"You seems cold.....", I turned at this unfamiliar voice.
It was a young man with uncombed curly hair. I furrowed.
"Do I know you by any chance?", Of course I didn't but still asked. He shrugged with a cute cheeky grin.
"I don't think but we can know eachother if you allow......", he shrugged innocently, I smiled unconsciously shaking my head.
"I don't talk to strangers", I said turning around continuing my little walks.
"You can call me Ash, umm, and what did you tell your name? I'm forgetful.....", he said, now walking beside me, mirroring my slow walking pace.
"I never introduced myself to you.....", I said totally understanding that he was flirting. He seems harmless and well postured, wasn't obviously a creep, so I didn't mind much.
"Oh.....", he let out but I refrain continuing the conversation.
"Umm, am I disturbing you?", he said after a minute pause. I looked at him and nodded right away. His lips turned downwards.
"That was rude.....", he mumbled kicking an invisible pebble on the pathway but still walking with me. He was cute and amusing at the same time.
"So Ash.....am I right?", I asked to which he quickly nodded.
"You look younger, what are you doing this late at night?", I casually asked with no ulterior motives.
"Okay let me clear this....... I'M NOT YOUNGER, why everyone think I'm younger, I'm in my mid 20s, another reason I hate my curly hair", he stated whining, just like a little kid. I chuckled.
"Yeah, you're definitely not younger but slight elder than me, and your curly hair is adorable what's wrong with them?", I said furrowing.
"Really? I'm convinced if you're saying so......", he said passing a smile. I could read his face features in this dim light, he was cute and looked younger, I envy his youthfulness, he needs to be proud.
"Here, you can have my hoodie.....", he offered. It would be weird if I take it because it was as cold for him too and I didn't know him either.
"Look this would be insulting and embarrassing for me if you don't take it because I already have taken it off for you......", he said pouting and looking around, I chuckled at his unintentional humour.
I extended my hand to take but got distracted by a known annoying figure.
"Why are you here?", Taehyung said as soon as he reached us. He took a quick glance at Ash.
"I texted you, didn't you check?", I asked.
"I did, who's he?", he said ignoring my reply.
"Ash, I just met him.....", Ash nodded agreeing to me.
"Fine, let's go, we're late already", he said firmly, already turning to leave.
"Please tell me he isn't your boyfriend??", Ash whispered to me, I shook my head, he let out a sigh of relief. I chuckled briefly.
"Are you coming?", Taehyung said in a cold tone turning to us again. I quickly nodded starting to walk away from Ash.
"Ahh tell me you name at least", Ash blurted out abruptly.
"It's yâ",
"You don't need to know", Taehyung said glaring at Ash. He came back to us once again. held my wrist ans dragged me with him towards the parking.
I turned and mouthed a sorry to Ash, he nodded with a sad pout.
"What's wrong with you??", I spoke in annoyance when we sat inside the car. He didn't reply back.
"Have you lost your tongue??", I said frowning, folding my arms over my chest.
"Tomorrow is our first official meeting so you gotta get up early and prepare the things before I will be up", he ordered sticking his eyes on his phone's screen.
"That's not the answer to my question, after a decade I finally met a sane guy but you always have to stick your nose in between", I commented.
"That's pedophile", he said casually, I narrowed my eyes though he wasn't looking at me.
"He was as same age as of yours", he looked at me when I informed.
"Then it's too better that I saved that guy from you", he said without any hint of humour, I rolled my eyes,
"Haha funny enough", I said back.
"But he was adorable", I sighed dramatically.
"Stop clinging over every guy you see", he spoke.
"Same goes for you, stop being attractive to every girl you meet!", I said whatever my brain made up.
He looked at me finally keeping his phone away.
"Am I attractive to you?", he asked with a sincere tone, my heartbeat gets gradually faster when his intense gaze was at me, I gulped subtly and looked away.
"Of course not......", I said in a low tone.
"Then why do you care", he said nonchalantly resting his head back to the seat.
"Why do you care if I'm clinging over guys, don't worry I don't date idiots so you're safe", I shrugged.
His eyes were still close.
"I don't date monkeys either so you're safe as well", he replied. I rolled my eyes not in a mood to carry on this train of argument.
{Next Day}
After the three hour of the meeting I walked out of the meeting hall waiting for Taehyung who was still inside with Catherine.
I was feeling sleepy because of the lack of sleep. I hardly slept for an hour.
I got alert when Taehyung came out of the hall, all alone. He looked at me and walked near.
"Catherine and I are going out in the town....... Catherine just wants me to show few of her favourite places here and I couldn't deny, also, it's her birthday so I couldn't say no. I've called the driver he'll take you back to the hotel", Taehyung informed when he came out of the hall.
I furrowed, he already started moving inside the meeting hall, again.
"Ahh.....when you'll be back?", I asked abruptly, he turned to look at me for a while just to shrug at the end.
"I'll text you......", I nodded and he left.
{After an Hour ago}
After coming back to hotel room, I quickly changed my clothes in comfy ones and sat back on the bed to make the schedule for tomorrow.
It was the last day of my periods so I was feeling like usual.
I played some soft music in the background to make a calm atmosphere and as Taehyung wasn't here, nobody was going to interrupt.
I was too engulfed in my work but the sudden outbreak of Taehyung's thoughts made me to pause for a moment.
I furrowed, mindlessly reaching to my phone that was kept little further from me.
I checked for Taehyung's texts but it had none. I swallowed down while thinking.
Should I call him? But that would be weird.
I thought of waiting as it was been just three hours.
After finishing up my work I lied down flat on the bed. My eyes instantly felt heavy. They were screaming for a good sleep.
I kept the laptop aside and lied down properly on the bed itself, I hate couches.
As I closed my eyes the thought of Taehyung and Catherine being together hit me, I felt weird. I still didn't know how they know eachother, neither could I ask him or anybody. I sat back pulling a pillow on my lap.
I took my phone and dialed his number without even thinking what I would talk.
It was continuously ringing but he didn't pick up. I tried again, one last time.
"Hello?", it was a female's voice, Catherine?
"Hello......this is Taehyung's phone......can I talk to him", I said still not sure who was the female.
"I knew you're idiot with a badmouth but calling your boss by his first name is disrespectful", I rolled my eyes, I could bet it was Catherine.
"Stealing someone's phone isn't humane and especially when he's your going-to-be business partner.....", I said politely.
"If I cancel this deal he'll fire you from this job in no second.....", I heard a scoff from her side. I closed my eyes in frustration, I couldn't say anything more, I couldn't afford the deal to be cancelled solely because of me.
"I just wanted to know when he's coming back", I blurted.
"Calm down young lady, he isn't your boyfriend or husband, you don't need to check up on him", she said and disconnected the next second.
What the hell was that!? I stared at the screen for a second. What the hell was wrong with this lady?! I gritted my teeth.
I texted Taehyung instead.
I kept my phone beside me, folding my arms in frustration.
I'm leaving the job anyway. I enjoy my job and I don't think anyone else would appoint me directly at this position but if they would know I was been Mr. Taehyung's secretary I'm sure they would definitely think about it but I never wanted to see or have any connections with him, that would be awkward and selfish of me.
I sighed, who knew that this would be stressing to me, and the other thing stressing me was how the hell Catherine and Taehyung know eachother already, well I had nothing to do with that idiot, I shook my head and lied down to complete my sleep cycle.
I was in slumber for almost half an hour when my phone rang up.
I checked quickly thinking it was Taehyung but it turned out to be Jade, I frowned lying back and switching off my phone, I just needed a good sleep and nothing else.
