The book is coming to a close then I plan to start a second. I need a new cover made for the next one! Send me your creations and if I like it I will use it. I'm not good at making covers... The title for the second one will be Darkness Arising. All I ask from you to include the title and a mermaid with a golden tail. Or a dark outline of one.... which ever. :)
I followed Emmet back to Aurora's room, deeply ashamed of myself for revealing Radiances mothers secret. As soon as I had said it Radiance had given me, and her mother, a look of horror and betrayal that shook me at my core. I regreted every word I said and wished desperately to take it all back. Her face twisted in pain and it's an image that will stay embedded into my mind forever.
Radiance's mother had promptly fainted after her daughter shrieked so loudly and claimed she hated her. The Queen heard Radiance's cries of betrayal while on her way to her chambers and rushed to see what was going on. Aurora started to sob, overwhelmed by the events that took place and terrified of what the prohecy had said. She clasped her hands over her mouth and shook her head as if to rid herself of the truth.
Emmet rushed to Radiance's side to help her settle down while I just wished I faded away against the wall. I didn't realize that I was crying as well until I felt my eyes swell and redden. Aurora shot me a pained look and I felt through our bonds she felt terrible for what she did to Radiance.
"You all must leave, I'll take her to my chamber to rest. Aurora, take Radiance to her room in the castle. Have her settle." Queen Thalassa ordered. When Aurora hesitated, her mother raised her voice at her and Aurora flintched violently before taking Radiance away. "Emmet, take Charlie away." Radiance shot me a pained look over her shoulder which made my heart shatter before Emmet grabbed my arm.
Emmet led me over to my bed and sat next to me with his silvery tail curled around me. I look up at him and give him a wobbly smile but it crumbles away. Emmet, to my much surprise, curls his tail tighter which pulls me in closer to him. I let myself fall up against his shoulder my eyes starting to swell once again with fresh tears.
Akwardly he places his hand on my shoulder and murmers in my ear. "Is that what you were afraid of?" He asks gently, remembering our conversation from earlier this morning.
I feel a comforting warmth spread from his fingertips onto my shoulder, traveling down my arm. Letting myself melt from the heat I move closer to him, and I just nod my head against his chest. His lips pressed together in a thin line, deep in thought but looks away from me. "Her mother told me one of us will die... one of us has to die for the ocean to live. Or else the Darkness will arise, she said. She told me to keep quiet about it in hopes the prohecy wouldn't begin but..." Unable to say anything more I just close my eyes, wishing I could forget everything.
My body pressed against his seemed to crave for him, crying out for him to touch me. I stroked his strong arm and he shuttered against my touch, taking in a sharp breath. My heart is thumping madly against my chest, so hard that it hurts. I want him, no I need him, I thought to myself as the warmth spreads.
He looks sharply at me with his smokey eyes peircing through my body and soul. He looked at me with a dark intesnity inside and it took every part of my will power to not look away. Suddenly he closed his eyes and jerked away from me.
"No!" I choke out, grasping his arm. "Please..." I silently pleaded. I felt him stuggle with his emotions, fighting back a strange desire to wrap me into his arms. A desire that I shared with him. In this moment I knew he felt the same as I felt for him. A feeling of something I had yet to discover.
A flash of silver blurred infront of my eyes and in the next instant I'm pressed against the bed. I feel Emmet's weight on top of me as he holds me down while stroking his tail against mine, causing feirce chills to run across my spine. I instantly run my fingers through his loose hair while he presses himself onto me.
He buries his nose deep into the side of my neck, leaving a trail of soft, tender kisses. Each kiss sends a wave of emotions through my body and I let out a pleasureable moan which he matches with a hungry growl.
My golden tail seems to be shining brighter, more vibrant and I lift the tip of my long fins to touch his. Another wave of pleasure shoots through my body and I gasp from the shocking new feeling. Emmet groans from my touch and finally crashes his lips onto mine.
Time seemed to have stayed still the instant his lips touched mine. His taste is addicting and his touch is mind blowing, and I never want him to stop. His soft lips move in perfect harmony with mine, and he presses me closer to his body, lifing me off the bed. His tail wraps around mine and another moan slips through and I feel him smile through our kisses.
Our passion grows, our kissing turning more heated, deeper. I allow my hands to explore his body, feeling every lifted muscle and he groans against my lips from my touch. He too explores my body, trailing his rough along my hips until his hand comes across my breasts and caresses it gently.
I pull away from his lips, gasping and short of breath and he kisses me along my jaw line. I close my eyes and throw my head back in pure bliss.
Mine. An angry growl flashes through my mind; a thought that didn't come from me. A pulse of energy seemed to have gone through me, a feeling that I cannot describe and I know Emmet felt it too.
I cling onto his strong body, pressing myself as close to him as possible wanting to be closer. My body is on fire, my mind racing. I throw myself back onto his lips and he kisses me back hungerly wanting more. He runs his hands down alone my sides and I never want him to stop.
At this moment I feel as if our souls is coming together, merging into one. I feel his pulse as if it was my own, his own thoughts mixing with mine. He is completely mine and I am never letting him go.
A painful jolt of electricity seemed to shock my body and I flintch violently away from him. He stares at me with wild eyes, panting from our embrace. "Are.. are you alright?"
"Yeah..." I breathe, rubbing my side. "Just my scales seem to hurt." I whisper softly as I feel my cheeks turn into a flaming color of red.
I hear him chuckle. "Your red face is quite cute."
I start to snap back a witty comment but I'm stopped by a painful burning sensation. A trail of fire seems to be growing along the side of my tail and I let out a choked cry of pain. "Charlie!" Emmet rushes to my side and gasps.
"Whats... happening to me- AH!"Â I let out a painful scream and my tail twitches violently.
Emmet strokes my arm, worry across his face. "Oh god.. I cannot believe it. Sh, it will stop dear Charlie"
"What will stop!?" I growl through clentched teeth. Emmet holds me against him as the burning grew stronger and I could have sworn I heard him say "sorry". Sorry for what? I snap back in my head.
But after a few short moments of agaonizing pain, the pain vanishes as if it was never there. I stiffly sit up groaning as I do so. I start to ask Emmet what happened but Emmet gestures for me to look down at my tail, and I notice his own tail seems to be glowing.
"Oh my god..." My eyes seem to buldge outside of my head and I look sharply up at Emmet. "Radiance?" I ask and he shakes his head numbly, as he too couldn't believe what he just saw or even did.
A beautiful silvery pattern, identical to Emmet's golden pattern, has branded my golden tail. A sign that I have been claimed.
I've just mated with the Prince of the ocean...
Ta da? Wow, do I suck at writing love scenes. Well to be honest I am totally grossed out by the whole love making thing during movies, TV shows, etc... so naturally I'm not very good at writing them I guess. It was my first try but THERE YOU GO. You got what you wanted. :)
As always, leave a comment telling me if you liked it or not... any suggestions to the whole love scene is very much needed. I will edit this later so look at this as a sneak peak of the real thing ok?
