Bobby stumbled back, crashing into the wall before managing to catch himself.
Fueled by rage, he lunged at Jett, ready to retaliate.
He was completely off his rocker.
The two men collided, fists flying. Fannie tried to intervene, but her attempts were futile against the sheer force of their anger.
Hotel staff rushed in, pulling the two apart before things could escalate further.
Jett was more seriously hurt, and despite Bobbyâs taunts, Fannie ignored him, focusing solely on getting Jett to the hospital.
Later, Bobby showed up at the same hospital, now in a wheelchair, accompanied by Judie, a familiar face from the film academy.
The four of them crossed paths in the hospital hallway. Bobby, sitting in the wheelchair, looked at Fannie with a twisted grin.
âIs that the girl youâre after, Mr. Kelly?â Judie asked.
âMind your own business!â
Judie raised an eyebrow, taken aback by his rudeness. It was her first time seeing someone go after a woman by first getting into a fight with someone else.
âHow did you know they were going to get intimate today?â she asked, still intrigued.
âWhy are you asking so many questions? Just go back to your filming.â
âFine!â Judie huffed, but she didnât forget to settle the bill with Bobby.
She had brought several friends to his room the day before to stir up some noise, but there was no interaction between Bobby and them. Eventually, he decided they were too loud and retreated upstairs to sleep in the presidential suite.
Meanwhile, Fannie gently applied medicine to Jettâs injuries with a cotton swab, muttering to herself, âHow did he find us? Is he some sort of dog, tracking us down?â
âFifi, Iâm fine,â Jett reassured her, grabbing her wrist to stop her from fussing.
âIâm going after the Kelly family from this point on. You wonât stop me, will you?â
Fannieâs eyes widened in disbelief.
But Bobbyâs words had made things worse than just a personal dispute.
Now, it was about Jettâs pride.
âItâs none of my business,â Fannie said quietly.
âIf you want to go after them, then do it. Just donât drag me into it. Iâm done with him.â
Jettâs lips curled into a satisfied smile.
He had a mild concussion and would have to stay for observation, meaning Fannie had to return to the original hotel the next morning to join Selma.
The following day, she overheard gossip that Bobby had returned to Illerith.
A weight seemed to lift from her chest. He was finally far away!
That evening, Jett, now discharged from the hospital, was waiting for her at the hotel. He had prepared a romantic surprise, with rose petals scattered on the bed and a candlelit dinner set up.
