Bobby sat up.
âWhy are you asking that? Do you always have to drag me into your issues with Shawn? He literally makes my legs weak every time we meet.â
Katherine retorted with a sneer, âIs it really him, or have you been on your knees too long in some girlâs bedroom?â
âReally? Is this the example you want to set for your kid?â
âBah!â
Now fully awake, Bobby asked, âWhere are you? Letâs meet up.â Katherine looked towards Fannie.
Excitement flickered across Fannieâs face as she nervously bit her lip.
âAre you sure?â Katherine asked.
Your favorite tales are on gαâηÏνððsâ¤Ã§Ð¾nn âWhy wouldnât I be? Itâs been days since we last met.â
Bobby got out of bed and picked up his clothes from the floor. A woman lay naked in the bed. Looking at the clothes scattered around, Bobby couldnât quite recall how he had ended up with her in a hotel room the night before.
But did it really matter?
He rubbed his head, left some cash on the nightstand, and walked out.
The phone call was still ongoing. Katherine said, âIâm trying on wedding dresses. Joelle and Lily are here with me too.â
âAlright, Iâll treat you guys to lunch. Will Shawn beat me up if I see you in a wedding dress before he does?â Bobby teased.
Katherine replied, âDonât worry, Iâve got it covered. What are you afraid of?â
âSee, I knew you were a true friend!â
After listening for a while, Fannie realized that Bobby only saw Katherine as a friend.
She had even thought about encouraging Katherine to give Bobby a chance.
That was pretty embarrassing.
Once Katherine ended the call, Fannie quickly apologized.
âIâm sorry; I overstepped.â
âItâs alright,â Katherine replied. âBobby will be here soon. Do you want to see him? I doubt heâs eager to meet you.â
âI⦠Iâm not sureâ¦â
Fannie wanted to see Bobby but couldnât find the words.
Joelle stepped in to help.
âWe became friends today, Miss Cooper. Why not stay and help Kathy pick out a wedding dress?â
Fannie looked at Joelle gratefully.
âOkay!â
About twenty minutes later, Bobby pulled up in his flashy pink Lamborghini.
Since his clothes from last night were wrinkled, he had stopped to buy a new outfit: a light blue shirt and white pants. With legs that straight, it was a pity he wasnât a model.
Removing his sunglasses, he noticed there were four people inside.
