Turning, Rafael saw Allie pressing a razor blade to her wrist. âIf you leave now, Iâll end my life right here in front of you.â
Rafael hesitated briefly, then responded coldly, âDo you think your threats affect me?â
Allie gave a knowing smirk. âIâm aware you donât care, but Iâll donate all the money, and youâll receive nothing.â She knew exactly how to use the debt as leverage to keep Rafael bound to her.
Noticing his irritation, Allie quickly shifted to a remorseful look. âDo you really need to go back?â She paused before offering a cunning smile. âWhy not stay here with me tonight?â
Allie laid out her conditions clearly. âEvery night, I want you to sleep with me. If you agree to this, Iâll allow you to visit your ex-wife once.â
Rafael furrowed his brow, discomfort washing over him at her words. However, Allie spoke them effortlessly, as if she had been contemplating this for a long time.
Her ailment wasnât physicalâit was psychological.
Rafael questioned her, âAre you amused by this? What do you gain from demeaning yourself like this? Do you think youâre manipulating me? Youâre a woman, Allie. If this gets out, youâll be the one who suffers.â
âIâm aware,â Allie replied, clasping her hands behind her, her toes curling as she walked barefoot toward him. âBut I just like you. You should be mine, and mine alone. Donât you see? I dream of having you entirely to myself, away from everyone else.â
To Rafael, her ideas were nothing short of irrational.
Allie reached up to touch his shoulder, standing on her toes, her lips almost brushing his. âSleep with me once, and Iâll pay you fifty million. Do we have a deal?â
The proposal ignited a deep anger in Rafael, his sense of honor wounded.
Before he could object, Allie rose on her toes and kissed him.
His mouth didnât close in time, allowing her tongue to slip through. It was clumsy, inexperienced, uncomfortableâbut undeniably bold, assertive, and passionate.
Then, a bitter taste spread across Rafaelâs tongue. Realizing he had swallowed a small pill unintentionally, he shoved her away, his eyes widening in shock. âWhat did you give me?â
Allie pulled a small box from behind her, revealing its contents. âThese pills can keep a man going for four hours. Iâm curious to see if thatâs true.â
âDamn!â Rafael cursed.
Soon, the effects of the drug overwhelmed him. He felt both dry and feverish.
Desperate for relief, he hurried to the kitchen and drank several glasses of water, but it did no good. With a curious smile, Allie observed his struggle. Even affected by the drug, Rafael maintained his composure, looking as handsome and detached as ever.
âDoes it feel uncomfortable?â she asked.
The only thing on Rafaelâs mind was to keep his distance from her for the next four hours, avoiding any interaction with women.
Suddenly, the double doors to her bedroom shut on their own. Escape was no longer an option.
