Shaking with fear, she turned around, her heart filled with dread.

I heard some noise from upstairs, so I came to check.

“When did you return? It’s so late, and you’re still in your military uniform…”

Tomorrow is the banquet in your honor, so I returned to attend.

“Is mother’s room really on the top floor? I heard the sound of iron chains scraping the floor.

Is that her?”

“She’s asleep.

If she’s the only one on the top floor, why lock her up?”
