The sound of his breath stung her ear as hot air hit her face. With eyes widened not knowing what to do, Fen Wén dumbly blinked her eyes. She saw Mao Maoâs sharp glare toward her, looking ready to kill her anytime.
This was the first time she saw Mao Mao like that. His aura changed, he wasnât that warm and kind Mao Mao anymore but looked like a professional fighter.
"M-master?" Chill ran down her back as she softly called. Her body was trembling in fear for no reason.
The girl almost cried but she held back. How could she not cry? Her wrist was in pain as Mao Mao gripped it tightly, she couldnât move and was now trapped underneath him!
Even though she was stronger but Mao Maoâs aura froze her still. She couldnât even muster any strength to refute!
Hearing Fen Wenâs voice, Mao Mao who was about to interrogate the âassassinâ was shocked silly. The young man blinked softly trying to see whatâs underneath him clearly.

The young man squeezed his eyes tightly again and only then his view wasnât blurry anymore. Now he could see clearly, the young man saw Fen Wénâs face right away. The girl was grimacing in pain as a trace of tears could be seen at the corner of her eyes.

Convinced that the girl beneath him was really Fen Wén, Mao Mao hurriedly got off Fen Wénâs body. He jumped away from the bed and stared in horror at the girl. With a trembling voice, he asked, "W-w-why are you here??"
His mind spun around. He didnât know what to say. Shouldnât he say sorry for doing that to her? But why the hell what came out of his mouth was another thing?!
Mao Mao had just about to change his words before and replaced it with better-sounding words when Feb Wén interrupted, "I...I...come here to wake you up..." the young girl slowly got off the bed.
She awkwardly patted her skirt, straightening it. Her hands were trembling as she did so. Her upper clothes looked so messy and her overall appearance really looked like someone who had just done âthatâ truly made Mao Mao regretted a lot.
"Iâm sorry!!" The young man didnât waste time and immediately fell on his knees. He looked at Fen Wén with his melancholic eyes and was about to hit his head to the floor, kowtowing to apologise when Fen Wén rushed to stop him.
"N-no, no itâs okay, master, please donât do this!" Fen Wén kneeled on the floor and blocked Mao Mao from kowtowing. The young girl touched Mao Maoâs forehead protecting it from touching the floor which was just an inch away from her hand.
Startled, Mao Mao hurriedly raised his head and saw the girl wore a worried face. She looked anxious as hell even though she was scared silly before.
"No, I have to apologise...I scare you..." Mao Mao bit his lips and was about to hit his head to the floor again when Fen Wén shook her head, "N-no! It was my fault for entering the office without your permission!"
The young girl only now realized her mistake thus she also bit her like and lowered her head, "P-please punish this servant!"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Normally, she would really be the one at fault here as Mao Mao did that out of self-defense. He couldnât be blamed but Mao Mao blamed himself instead of reprimanding her.
