Chapter Twenty-Two

While being tortured, Amaya passes out and is visited by the goddess of dragons, who is her mother, Ingrid. She reveals to Amaya that the Queen of Dragons becomes the goddess when she dies. Over the course of the five days Amaya is held captive, she become immune to iron and snapdragon oil. On the last day, her mother comes to her and tells her the heavens agreed the Queen should have all of the abilities of the dragons she rules over and Ingrid gives her the ability to bend fire, earth, plants, acid, and lava in addition to the abilities she already had.
