Chapter Three - High School Party

Milo P.O.V -

"Long night." Mamma placed a glass of orange juice in front of me.

"Nate didn't fall asleep until half three." I mumbled.

"So, how bad do you think his hangover will be?" She looked at me amused.

"I don't even think he'll have one. I've seen him more drunk than that and then the next morning he's running around playing football." I replied biting into a slice of toast.

"So what movie did you watch with your new friends?" She sat down opposite me.

"Oh we didn't end up finishing it, Nate interrupted us." I frowned.

I had stood up to take my plate to the sink when Nate entered the dining room sitting down. "Sorry for any trouble I caused." He apologized to my mamma.

"Oh it's fine honey." She told him. "How come I haven't seen you in a while? You and Milo used to be so close."

"Mum, drop it." I warned as I entered the dining room once again.

"Okay." She looked at me with a curious look on her face.

We sat at the table for a while Nate and Mamma exchanged small talk until he eventually had to leave.

"How does Nate always seem to destroy your night?" Lucy asked amused.

"I honestly think it's his superpower." I chuckled slightly.

She took a step out of the changing room wearing a a tight red dress which ended a few inches below her butt.  "What do you think?"

I shrugged. "It's er nice?"

"You are so bad at being gay." She joked.

I laughed. "Well forgive me for not being a stereotype."

"In situations like this I wish I had female friends." She muttered.

I gasped dramatically. "You mean you're willing to talk to someone of the same gender, this is revolutionary. I have never-"

"Shut up." She elbowed me.

She looked at herself in the mirror. "This is good for tonight right?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "Oliver will like it."

She laughed. "Okay I'll get this one."

She entered the dressing room exiting a few minutes later in her normal clothes.

"What are you wearing tonight?" She asked as we payed for the dress.

"I haven't really thought about it." I shrugged. "Probably a shirt and jeans."

We began to walk out of the mall but she suddenly gasped. "I forgot to get some shoes."

I groaned, Lucy spends hours picking the right shoes. "You have enough shoes already, just wear some black ones."

"But I don't have any to go with this dress." She whined.

I sighed. "Fine lets go."

She pulled me into a shop. I sat in a chair bored as I watched her try on shoes.

"Hey guys." We both looked to see Wyatt smiling at us. "Lincoln looks who's here." He called to Lincoln who was looking through a rack of clothes.

He turned his eyes widening as he saw us. "Oh hi." He grinned.

"Hey!" Lucy exclaimed happily. "What shoes do you think I should get?"

I rolled my eyes sinking into the chair.

"I'll help." Wyatt offered walking over to her.

"Are you not a fan of shopping?" Lincoln asked sitting in the chair opposite me.

"Not really." I replied. "Especially since it takes Lucy years to find the right pair of shoes. At this rate we'll be late for the party."

"What party?" He asked curiously.

"Oh this girl Sarah's parents have gone on holiday for two weeks so there's a party tonight and one next Saturday." I explained.

He nodded. "Sounds fun."

"Do you want to come?" I offered.

His eyes lit up. "I would love to! Can Wyatt come as well."

"Yeah sure." I nodded.

"I've decided!" Lucy exclaims running over a pair of black shoes which looked identical to several pairs she already owns.

"They look great." I told her.

"You don't like them." She frowned. "I'll find something else."

"No!" I shouted getting up. "Those are fine."

She didn't listen searching for more shoes. I fell back into the chair.

"Oh for gods sake." I grumbled.

Lincoln laughed. "You know-"

"Lincoln!" A voice called.

We both looked over to see a girl stood a few feet away, she waved a huge smile on her face.

"Vic?" He asked a look of annoyance on his face. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh i'm going out with some friends tonight and I needed a new bag." She shrugged gesturing to where a few girls were stood.

I watched the interaction trying to figure out what kind of relationship they had.

"Where are you going Victoria?" He questioned narrowing his eyes.

"Some party." She mumbled.

He rolled his eyes. "Does dad know?"

She scoffed. "Of course not, he thinks I'm going to a sleepover."

"And mum?"

"She said it's fine." She replied. "Who's this?"

"No one!" Lincoln exclaimed quickly.

I looked at him slightly confused. "My names Milo, I'm a friend of a friend."

"Well Milo, I hope I see you soon. Maybe we could even go out somewhere together." She smiled batting her fake eyelashes.

A low rumble escaped Lincoln's chest as he glared at Victoria. "Stop being a slut."

She rolled her eyes. "Goodbye Lincoln."

She sauntered off to talk to her friends who had now moved to the opposite side of the store.

"I'm sorry about my sister." Lincoln frowned as he turned back to me.

"It's fine." I muttered looking away from him getting irritated.

He cleared his throat to fill the awkward silence. "Well I should go, I'll see you tonight."

"Bye." I nodded curtly.

Lincoln P.O.V

"You introduced him as no one?" Wyatt asked with a frown.

"I don't think he cared." I shrugged biting into a burger.

"Of course he cared." Wyatt scoffed.

I rolled my eyes. "Well I didn't know how to introduce him, he's not a friend and I couldn't introduce him as my mate."

"He probably thinks that you don't want people to know about him." Wyatt suggested finishing his food.

"I doubt it." I shrugged. "We'll see if he's annoyed at the party."

"Speaking of which-" Wyatt checked his watch. "We should probably get ready."

Soon enough we were driving to the address Lucy had sent Wyatt.

"I can't believe you didn't tell us that you two met your mates." Cora, my gamma, repeated for the fifth time.

"We only met them a few days ago." I told her glancing in the mirror to see Cora snuggled up with her mate.

"I can't believe we're going to a high school party." Cole grumbled.

"It'll be fun." She quickly told him. "You didn't even tell me that you're gay."

"That's because I didn't know." I responded.

She rolled her eyes before turning to Wyatt. "What's going on with you and your mate then?"

"She has a boyfriend." He sighed.

"Oh." She mumbled. "That makes things difficult."

"I'm not sure how to go about it." He mumbled. "Should I wait for to her break up with him?"

"We're here." I said getting out of the car.

Wyatt and Cora continued their conversation as we walked into the house.

"This is going to be awful." Cole stared at the drunk teenagers taking shots on the front lawn. "I'm not even in high school, I shouldn't be here."

"Shut up." I shoved his shoulder.

I walked into the house all the rooms were packed with teenagers. "Fuck this I need a drink." Cole disappeared into the crowd.

'We're here.' I texted Milo.

Wyatt and Cora lingered beside me as we waited for a response. 'Dining room. Beer pong.' Was his response.

"They're in the dining room." I told Wyatt who nodded looking around.

"Where's that?" He asked.

I shrugged. "Maybe we should ask someone."

"That's a good idea." Cora smiled, she tapped a girls shoulder who turned swiftly almost hitting me with her hair.

Her eyes lit up as she saw us. "Hello." She giggled.

"Do you know where the dining room is?" Cora asked politely.

She glanced at Cora annoyed for a moment before glancing back to me and Wyatt. "How can I help you two?"

"Bitch." Cora mumbled.

The girl glared at her. "What do you want?"

"To know where the dining room is!" She threw her hands in the air.

She nodded towards the doorway on the far end of the room. "It's over there."

"Thanks." Wyatt told her. All three of us walked to where the dining room was walking in to see a large game of beer pong spread across the entire table.

"Milo, Milo, Milo..." The people chanted.

A ping pong ball flew through the air landing easily in the one cup remaining. Teenagers cheered. I looked over to where the ball came from to see Oliver patting Milo on the back.

Wyatt, Cora and I walked over to them. "Hi." I smiled as we reached them.

"Hey." Milo responded hardly looking at me.

"Where's Lucy?" Wyatt asked Oliver.

"Why do you want to know?" Oliver frowned. "Is there something you-"

"Oli it's fine." Milo told him.

Oliver narrowed his eyes at Wyatt. "Stay away from my girlfriend."

I couldn't imagine being in Wyatt's situation right now, he has to remain calm even when his mate is with her boyfriend. If that was me I'd- wait who the hell is that?

My eyes focused on Milo who had a boy on his back kissing his cheek. My mate laughed a blush rising on his face as he looked at the brunette.

"Calm down." Wyatt whispered to me.

"How can I?" I spoke through gritted teeth.

The boy jumped of his back grinning at Milo and grasping his hand.

"Lucas these are my friends, Wyatt and Lincoln." Milo introduced us.

My jaw clenched as the boy, Lucas began to ramble about something I didn't care about.

"I'm sorry how do you know each other?" I interrupted.

"I'm his rebound." Lucas laughed. "He uses me to get over Nate."

By uses he means sex right? I'm so close to killing him.

Milo rolled his eyes. "You're not a rebound."

"Well that sucks for you cause you're my rebound." Lucas responded teasingly.

Milo smirked, a slight chuckle escaping his lips. "I'm so offended."

Lucas slapped his arm lightly. "Let's go get some drinks."

"Alright." Milo nodded. "Does anyone else want anything?" He looked at me expecting an answer.

I knew that if I spoke I would start growling so I kept my mouth shut.

"We're fine thank you." Wyatt answered for me.

Milo nodded although I didn't miss the look of confusion which had spread across his face.

"Uh Lincoln and I need to talk about something quickly." Cora explained. "Wyatt keep Oliver company."

Wyatt gulped slightly seeing the glare on Oliver's face. "Sure."

She dragged me into the front garden sitting me down on the grass.

"You need to relax." She told me.

"He's with someone." I growled in response my body tensing up.

"Getting angry is not going to help." She added. "It'll just cause a lot of arguments."

"I don't know how Wyatt's doing this." I sighed. "I could hardly breath seeing Milo with that boy, every time he sees Lucy she's with her boyfriend. It's incredible he hasn't punched him yet."

"Huh?"

I scrunched up my eyebrows turning to see who was listening. Lucy stood a few feet away clearly about to enter the party.

"Wyatt likes me?" She asked confused.

My eyes widened and I jumped up. "No!"

"But you said-" I cut her off.

"He doesn't like you, he's never really mentioned you." I attempted to lie.

She ignored my comment. "And you like Milo."

"No." I shook my head a desperate expression on my face.

"You do." She gasped slightly.

"Please don't say anything, to Milo or Wyatt." I virtually begged.

She though for a moment. "I'll try but I'm pretty bad at keeping secrets especially when I'm drunk." She held up a bottle of vodka in her right hand. She smiled walking into the house.

"I'm screwed."
